Drysl's personal journal of things i need to remember just in case i forget something important

Entry 1
Don't go outside in the woods at night or the whisper hounds might get you!
just in case you forgot what they look like. They are all black, they are covered in scales, they have six legs and 6 inch long teeth that are razor sharp.
when they stalk their prey the make a hissing sound if they are discovered by their prey then they make this raspy screeching sound which usually paralyzes their prey with fear.

If you do end up caught out in the dark build several camp fires around the perimeter of your camp they are afraid of the light and wont go near the fires.
If you are unable to build campfires then rub fairy spot mushrooms all over your skin the mushrooms will burn your skin but at least they wont attack you because you will be toxic and inedible.

Entry 2
Mushrooms of the forest

Fairy Spot Mushrooms
Appearance: They are brown with bright pink spots 
Notes: Very Poisonous they will kill you if you eat them
they will also burn your skin on prolonged contact
Rarity: Rare grows around ferns

Blue Jelly Mushrooms
Appearance: Blue with a clear jelly that oozes out from under the cap
Notes: Very Tasty especially the jelly its the best part
Rarity: Very Common grows on dead logs

Asar Mushrooms
Appearance: Silver and shiny
Notes: Very Tasty and give you lots of Energy
don't eat too many though or you will start to Hallucinate
Rarity:Rare found in moist muddy areas in the forest

Night Mushrooms
Appearance: During the day the camouflage with their environment making them impossible to see
During the night they glow bright blue but if you shine light on them the stop glowing and camouflage like in the daytime
Notes: Can Heal almost anything
Rarity: Extremely Rare may only find one in a 100km radius

Entry 3
Just in case you forget where you live 

You live in the center of Virens Forest,
No matter where you are in the forest just in the direction opposite to where the moss points.
The moss always shows you how to get out of the forest but to get home you have to go deep into the forest.
If you are feeling very lost then you are getting close.
Your house is built into a very large hollow Redwood tree trunk that had fallen many years ago.

Entry 4

Remember DO NOT open the chest in your house for any reason, if you've forgotten whats in the chest then good, it's better
to not know what it is you have stashed in there, but no matter what you do, don't open it!
