Time was not something that the young sorcerer believed could be manipulated with ease. Perhaps the gods themselves could influence it even grander than mere mortals, but it seemed so unobtainable to even them. His pupil was wise to not underestimate that situation. “I agree. Time is a powerful thing and to think that it could be fixed with the snap of one’s fingers is nothing more than a fool’s dream. Perhaps it had been mended to like a wound, but it needs to be watched with care.”

“Even so, it just doesn’t seem right…”, Kaiser retorted. Angela may have changed in that regard, but it was still all confusing to him. Normally he would be able to make heads or tails of a situation, unfortunately in this particular one, he just couldn’t. It annoyed him so much more than what he was putting on to Nerezza. “In any case, I would think that she would care if she walked in on us, or have some sort of reaction…” It was likely wasted breath on his part, but he was still a gentleman regardless of the situation, even in the face of vixen like rosenites. “I don’t relish on that thought”, he spoke bluntly, “I rather not think of you being with those of unsavory taste…or intentions.”

He blinked at her for a long time, not sure how to respond to her confession. He too had enjoyed their time together, they both shared a great love for magic. She had vastly been approving before their arrival here and he had no doubt that despite his absence, she had been continuing on improving up until now. “Yes, the same can be said on my part. I have missed our time together. I suppose that we can’t dwell on the past, not when at least there is a future ahead of us.” Her father may have forsaken the name, but he didn’t truly believe that the Shira were through. Nay, he was sure that someone out there was to continue the bloodline even if he did not wish to. “Yours?”, he questioned before he ushered her out and got dressed.

“It is a lovely home, and as long as I’m not intruding on her kind, I’m grateful.” Kaiser came to Nerezza’s side and peeked out the window. It was funny that up until a few moments ago that he was out there, wandering about like a homeless man with no purpose. If it hadn’t been for her, he would have still been out there, lost and…afraid. He glanced over to her and was amazed by how mature she was acting despite her true age. His face held a shocked looked and he shook his head at the thought of having her worry so much over him. ”My lady, there wasn’t anything more you could have done. It wasn’t your fault that I had been lost. Whatever brought us here is to blame.” He placed a hand onto her shoulder and smiled, “You did all that you could and for that, I am in your debt. The last thing I want is for you to worry yourself to death because of me, especially with this illness you suffered with. The smile faded for a second, “If anything, I would believe that it would have been my fault if something worse would have happened…”

Shaking his head again, Kaiser sighed and put on a smile again. “Ah, but let’s not worry about that. We are here and the eve is still young. I wouldn’t mind going over the place while we talk. If I am to stay here, I would like to not get lost so often”, he laughed.

Nerezza's mischievous eyes watched him. "Uh huh, they fixed it too but I would bet a bunch that it's not completely gone. Something like that just doesn't up and get patched all the way."

Judging from the way he stared at her she knew he was trying to be the adult in the situation. "Oh please, you should meet mother now. It's like she's had an attitude adjustment." She skid her fingers across the top of the water. "She doesn't care anymore. There are way worse people I could spend my time with." That was a guarantee.

She smoothed his hair and stared. "Not to me you're not. I am quite smitten with having you around. After all the Roses and Shiras don't have the need for conflict. Matter of fact, there are no more Shiras as far as I know. Even father is going by a new name. You are mine."

Nerezza stood up and got the clothes for him. "I think Lucian likes me being powerless. We have always been on two different levels since we were babies. Not that he would ever talk about me like that. He is way too kind."  He shooed her out and she groaned a bit as she leaned against the wall.

When he came out she nodded. "You're very welcome. This is mother's secondary home so we are free to stay here for as long as we want." She stretched and went over to the window. "I'm sorry I didn't find you sooner. I didn't even know if you were alright. I didn't have anything for Mother to find you with either. I felt very lost but I had been asleep for a long time. Mother kept Lucian and I asleep while we got over a sickness soon after we got here."

This new world confused him greatly. It was unsettling for Kaiser, given that he had many times considered himself a worldly scholar. But this? This was too much for him to handle. “Time? Something was wrong with time?’, he asked with a raised brow. What sort of unstable land were they on now? Was this safe enough for them? He couldn’t help but to miss their old world and his family. So much inconsistencies were occurring for his taste and there seem to be more that were to come. Still, he was at least relieved to hear that she and her family had made it through, nearly okay.

He gave Nerezza a stern look, “And you are a young lady. And as such, it is appropriate to see me in such a state”, he groaned back at her. “Besides, your mother would likely throw a fit if she caught you bathing me, and then throw me out of here to boot.” The vampire had recalled her subtle warning towards him prior to teaching her daughter. Kaiser wasn’t ready to make a goddess that had even more power now angry. Still, he knew a bit about Nerezza and what he did know was that she was hardheaded. If they were discovered, he could only do the gentlemen thing and take the full blame himself and spare her of any punishment. Begrudgingly, he let her have her way and continued to listen while he plotted what to do next. His concentration was broken for a moment once she mentioned having hundred silblings now. A puzzled look crossed his face and shook his head.

“That…is something to get adjusted to…” Soon the wild looking man was looking much more cleaner and dunked himself into the water and emerged to tend to his now soaked hair before he paused for a moment. “My lady, you needed not to worry about me. I am but your humbled teacher. If anything, I'm sure that your parents could have found a suitable replacement if I was never to be found. You needed not to worry yourself to death over me.” He was starting to wonder even more about their relationship, concern was stirred by her words. Kaiser already was deeply troubled by believing that it was going away from being something of business to something else entirely, and now he was even more alarmed. Before he knew it, a maid came with a delivery of new clothes and he waited until she gone to remove himself from the tub.

“Do not worry about that. I suppose it is this new world and your body adjusting to it. Mine has been acting up as well, but i think it’s only a matter of time until they return to us”, he reassured her just before he gently shooed her out of the room and closed the door to change. She might have been a Rosenite, but he was still raised with his own morals and believed it wasn’t right or appropriate for her to be in there with him while he changed. The dark colors of the attire suited him well enough and drew his hair back into a ponytail with a few strains left in the front before he came of the room. “It feels like ages since I felt this good”, he said with a smile as he went over himself and looked towards her. “Thank you.”

Nerezza’s gold eyes watched him for a moment before nodding. “I talked to my mother about it. It appears that this world is diagonal of DaeLuin’s. I’m sure she will have more answers for us as time goes on. I am just glad that time is finally stable.” She was even more so that he was with her once more.

“Things were explained to me. It seems that she merged with the other half of her. She knows a lot more about this world than either of us. This mansion has stood here for the better part of the last century. Things are definitely weird compared to how they were.

When they got to the bath and she started to help him undress she scoffed at him. “I am a Rosenite on top of my vampire heritage! Please remember that most of us do not choose to marry. Even if I am a princess I am also a Rosenite.” She was bold with her words as she stared into those eyes of his.

“My father is a very strong man that is true.” She smiled at him as she ran a cloth down him. “Mother told me he watched over Lucian and I like a hawk when we weren’t awake. It took us some time to wake up from entering this world. We’re strong though and we found out that we have something like a hundred siblings. It’s weird for all of us to cope with that.” She frowned a bit as she took a clump of soap and washed him.

“Everyone eventually made their way there and yet I couldn’t find you… This is the least I can do for you after worrying myself so hard. You are my beloved tutor.” She offered him a smile as she got up and received the new clothes from a maid. "I'm afraid my magic is drained for a bit… It will take some time for my talent to come back." She frowned a bit.

To some, the bond between student and teacher shouldn’t have been blurred and he could feel such just by in the way Nerezza tightened the embrace.  Then again, it could have also had to do with her being part vampire; their kind tended to enjoy that of physical comfort to the point where it was almost a need. Perhaps it had just been him trying to rationalize it, but for now it was suffice for him. It had to be so, lest he was unsure what to make of it, and even more so of how to handle it. “I have worried about you as well”, Kaiser admitted, “I had wished for your safety had you been summoned here like myself. This world is strange yet familiar for some reason.” She then confirmed that her father was brought here as well, which made him want to seek him out for guidance. The knight was a survivor, always had been and surely always would be, and without his true family here, he would need someone like him to thrive.

“A…mansion?”, he muttered in slight confusion. “So your mother’s here as well…and you know of this place? But…how?” Kaiser had to ask her while being dragged along towards the destination she spoke of. The man was confused on all sorts of levels- had they known of this new world they were a part of now? And why was he brought here? Despite her words, he still felt like he didn’t belong on these grounds. There was no elegance in his clothing and he felt as though he was literally taken from the streets as he watched the girl interact with one of the staff members. The vampire couldn’t help but feel awkward in this situation and his mind was only on that until she spoke again. The bewildered state, however, merely got worse with the more she told him. Angela had ascended even further somehow, and now they were in her homeland. Before he could ask more questions, he was once again dragged away, this time to the prepared bath. Glancing over it, he was prepared for her to leave him before she started to remove his dirty garments. [

b]“Nerezza! This…”, he exclaimed, “You shouldn’t be doing this! It’s unfit for a lady like yourself, not unless it is your betrothed.” There was no telling what the Rosenites believed in as far as that matter was concerned, he was merely voice that of her lesser kin. But either way, she got him down to his pants before he stopped her with firm hand signal and simply went into the tub. The warm waters felt like heaven on his skin and the it  made him more comfortable as far as her presence went. Though he was not keen still on her helping with his bath. She was a lady of this house, she had no obligation towards him to do all this for him. But the enlightenment of her father’s condition took his attention away.

“Perhaps he will. He had dealt with hardships before, at least from what I’ve heard. Over and over the fates are fickle towards him yet he manages to bounce back. Even if he’s no longer Nemesis, there’s a reason why he isn’t dead. There has to be, and it might take sometime, my lady. But sooner or later, he may find a purpose towards his life once again.” He shifted upwards so that he was sitting up now. “If anything, he’ll likely find purpose in both you and your brother. Even monsters are capable of loving their children, and I doubt his love for you has changed any. Perhaps only grew stronger”, he spoke with a genuine smile. “I thank you for all this. You didn’t need to do this, Nerezza.”

Nerezza was all too delighted to see Kaiser and it appeared the same way. She buried her face in his shoulder in a way that was not like her. She took in his scent that mixed in with the musk of his travels. He had been alone for a so long. Her arms tightened around him as she thought about how lonely he must have been. "I will answers all your questions I promise." She looked at him before releasing herself and dropping to the ground.

"Don't worry about how you look, that's not the important thing. I've been so worried about you." She took his hands and smiled up at him. "Father reassured me you would make it but so many haven't." She frowned a bit before tugging him. "Mother has a mansion here in Sularia come with me."

The white haired girl was not giving him much of a choice as she led him up to a red bricked manor not fair. It was lit up both inside and out. The door was opened by attending staff who bowed to her. "Can you fetch my friend here a clean set of clothes." She took the hands of a house keeper and talked a bit more. "We also  need a bath. Some of Sularia's best soap please." She let the house keeper run off as she closed the door behind him.

"You are in the home of the Rosenites. This is Sularia. As for my mother and family they are at her temple. My mother is a goddess here. It appears she had a doppelganger here that ruled since she was eighteen. I have over one hundred siblings as my mother is Goddess of Fertility and Earth. They call her the mother."

Once the bath had been prepared she dragged him to it. "I'm not shy." She reassured him as she undressed him enough and ushered him into the tub. "Father isn't himself." She said softly. "It appears when he transitioned over that his.." She was looking for the words as she took a cloth and rubbed up his arm.

"Nemesis separated from Nathaniel. He is… depressed by his actions over the course of all these centuries. We don't know where Nemesis went but it's left my father in a depression of where to go from here. He is living in my mother's realm until he knows where to go from here. I'm so glad you are alright though." She gained a frown. "He doesn't want to be called either names now. From what I hear from the clergy my mother gave him for friendship he calls him Raeguel. I just want my father happy… but I don't know if he can ever forgive himself."

There had to some sort of explanation for all this; his removal from his home and realm, his arrival to this new world, and how to get back to his lands. If that was even possible. Frustration fell onto his face as he paced vigorously down the streets, as if he was heading towards a predetermined destination. In truth, it was a way to try and calm him down, little by little.  Slowly it was working as he wandered aimlessly, observing the sights as much as possible. He might have been lost in this world, but his curiosity had not completely left him. Kaiser did ponder from time to time as to why the cities people reminded him so much of Angela and her people. They carried similar scents as well as their exotic appearances. Kaiser had to stop in his tracks and turn his focus elsewhere because that just brought him back to thinking about Nerezza. For the life of him, he wasn’t sure why she kept coming back to his thoughts. They had been briefly acquainted and only had a few lessons together. Their relationship was purely business, at least he believed it to be such. But for some reason, he couldn’t help but be concerned about her right now; not as his pupil but her in general.

Was it that he been missing her?

No, that couldn’t have been it…right? After all, had he dared to try anything unprofessional with her, her mother would have likely skinned him alive, for starters. Her father? He had heard that he tormented people ruthlessly…out of fun. He didn’t want to see what would happen when he was enraged. Yet through the conflicting thoughts and worries, she still lingered in his thoughts. Shaking his head, Kaiser was about to continue on walking in the dark streets when he heard someone coming up from behind. At first, he paid no further intention to it and was about to continue on his way, but he nearly froze when he felt a hand take hold of his shoulder. Who would be so bold to approach him like this? And why? He wasn’t sure at all what was about to happen, and he went along with the motion as he was turned around. The moment he saw the girl, his dull eyes widened. Of all places, she was here?!

Before he could voice the question of what she was doing here, Nerezza leaped onto him and embraced the vampire. Still dumbfounded, it too Kaiser a moment or two before he slowly draped his arms around her. “Lady Nerezza…I’m…” Clearing his voice, he tried to regain his composure- he was still a young lord of his house, he had to still carry on the mannerism taught to him. His appearance was unsuitable to be witnessed by a lady of her standing, but not much could be done about that for now. “I am glad to see that you are well. Although I am confused to how you are here as well. I do not know where we are at; I myself been lost for what seemed like ages.” Had she too underwent the phenomenon that brought him here? “Where is your family, milady? I wouldn’t think that you’d be out here all alone?”, he spoke as he looked up and glanced around them. Stepping back, he looked over himself and then towards her. “Forgive me, I haven’t been at my best lately. It’s been…a rough time and adjustment for me.”

Nerezza found herself in a daze as she wandered about the new home she had. It was an odd thing being transported to these lands through a hole in time itself. Her mother had retained her deity and now was even greater than before. Her father was sulking and she stood by him wanting to comfort him. No matter what he was now she was his little girl. Nerezza was just a young woman now as she looked into a mirror. Her hand glided down her body and she huffed a bit as she saw her mother's shape on her own form. Beauty was one way to get what you wanted, that was something her mother had told her but it wasn't the best way to solve a problem.

Changing into a plain dress she moved from the mirror and brushed out her long white curls. She had decided to stick with her golden eyes as it complimented her skin tone. The girl turned woman found herself caring about how the opposite sex viewed her and it annoyed her to some degree. She was a student of the psionic arts. At least she had been. Her teacher was now lost to whatever the hell the void did to their home.

"You should go to Sularia when you have free time. Learn of your heritage," Angela combed her hair and it made Nerezza jump that the woman was so good at sneaking up on her. Taking a deep breath in she nodded. Her mother placed a kiss to her cheek and left her alone once more.

Sularia, home of the Rosenites. The jewel in the desert.

It had many names from what Nerezza knew of it. She slipped slippers onto her feet and left through a portal. Coming out onto the cobblestone streets she looked around. It was late in the evening but for now she wanted to be by herself and not in the crowded streets. Her hand came up and played with her white curls as she looked up at the two moons hanging in the vastly dimming sky.

Wandering the streets her eyes zoned in on a man she thought she knew. Picking up her pace she reached the black haired man and grabbed him by his shoulder turning him around. A joyful look came to her face. "Kaiser!" She jumped up onto him and hugged him. "You are alright!"

The fates only knew how he ended up here. One moment, Kaiser was enjoying the sweet harmony of his violin back in his room and then next, he wa plunged into a rainforest. Only it wasn’t like the one that he had visited a few times, it was very much different. Especially once he made contact with the natives and none of them knew anything about his home island or anything of the areas he spoke of. Of the information he had gather, the young sorcerer was astonished to find out that many others had been pulled from their homes and now were amongst this land. Fate had been the one to pull him from one realm to another and he was unsure if he could ever go back.

Back to where his possessions, his home, and his family were at. He was to become the master of his household and now the dream he had worked so hard to fulfill crumbled before his very eyes. His spirit was broken and all hope faded inside him, leaving Kaiser as little more than a husk that wandered aimlessly throughout the jungle and up north. There were times when he grew hungry and resorted to attacking any person or animal to sustain his energy all the while hiding wherever possible during the daylight hours. It was a life that he never before could ever imagine living through, not after living the life in one of the wealthiest merchant families in the world. To be reduced to this… a lost, dirt cladded man of worn clothing, he wasn’t even sure if he deserved to go back. He would have to start anew, and build from the ground up and he didn’t know how that would be possible.

Eventually his wandering brought the vampire far up north to a city upon the coast. Cerulean eyes laid onto it with a disheveled look before melding himself into the shadows, taking advantage of it to swiftly make it pass the gate and its guards. A few feet away from them, he came back into the world and wandered the streets, listening to the children at play in the early evening and their parents beginning to herd them back into their homes. The few people that remained out here besides the children were that of those keeping their shops up just a little bit longer or couples out on a nightly stroll. They all seemed familiar in a way to him, despite having knowledge that he didn’t know a single one of them. Hardly was that his concern though at the moment, more so was where he was now, and more so what was the next course of actions he could take now that he was stuck in a foreign land without much in his possession.

As he smelled the scents of all that were around, he was reminded briefly of his pupil for some reason. In the brief that he worked with her, she was vastly improving and it was shame that he would no longer be able to teach her and further her studies. A hand grasped at his face, of all things that he could be pining over, he chose to worry about a girl that was likely safe in her own stead with her deity mother and father that was a lord in his own right. She was in safe hands as far he could recall and now he had to find how to thrive in his new surroundings.
