The angel wouldn’t miss this party for anything!
Upon hearing about the upcoming party Sirona had sure that she would be able to go to it, and made sure that her clergy knew that they were welcome to go if they so wished. So Sirona was aware that a few of her clergy had travelled to the party on their own, wanting to stop and see family and friends along the way from Onnen, as some of her clergy were from Canelux. They were mingling now and while Sirona would nod to them if spotted she wouldn’t force any interaction with them, they saw enough of each other at the Cathedral after all.
Lady Glory also needed to come up with a gift for Angela, and it took a bit of thinking before Sirona had had an idea. She carried it now in a small box that she was holding, some of the attendance at the entrance had asked if she would like to leave it for Angela at a table. Sirona had politely declined, she wanted to had it to Angela herself, and once more express her thanks for all that Angela had done for her. It may not have seemed like a lot to some, or even to Angela herself, but for Sirona it was huge and this was a great time to express more thanks.
Sirona wore simple clothing, instead of her armour for once, she had plain slippers and socks on, and her clothing was just heavy and baggy enough to hide most of her curves. She did wear evenings gloves, however, her phobia of skin to skin contact was a persistent and troublesome problem. She didn’t wear any head covering at least, leaving her shoulder length jet black hair and facial tattoos visible, her brilliant blue eyes shining bright as always. Her white feathered wings were tucked as much as she could against her back, but perched between them were Lume, her owl griffin companion. About the size of a full grown maine coon, his white and light brown feathers and fur and adorable owl face with his large eyes made him utterly cute, at least in Sirona’s eyes. Her yawn and chirp/hooted and Sirona grinned.
”I’ll find you something to eat in a minute, be a good boy and stay with me though, ok?”As she walked she spotted a man who she hadn’t met yet, but thought she recognized him from his description and reputation; Angela’s Champion, Kiba. Taking the chance that it was him, Sirona made her way over to him and smiled.
”Excuse me.” She called to catch his attention.
”Would you happen to be Kiba?” Sirona asked.
”My name is Sirona, it’s a pleasure to meet the Protector Vitae.”

Protector Vitae. That was the title Kiba had been trusted with for the sake of the world. He stood in his formal black uniform that was pressed properly for such an occasion. Kiba felt happy that Angela’s birthday was being celebrated, but the merriment did not seem to reach his mismatched eyes. They seemed slightly dull even with all the merriment surrounding him. He smiled and clapped along with everyone else as the surprise was pulled off. He even chuckled when the grandchildren pushed Angela to enjoy her surprised. With all of the gleeful cry outs, Kiba could not feel it deep in his core. All he really wanted to do was find a corner to drink. That was not going to be possible as he was the Champion for the celebrated goddess. Instead, he remained off to the side with hands clasped behind his back to watch the crowd. It was unlikely that anyone would dare create a problem with such a powerful attendee list, but then again this was Revaliir. Anything catastrophic could happen within a split moment.
The diowolf cleared his throat for a moment as he moved further out of the way even though he was still shadowing Angela from a distance. He had to throw himself into work at the moment in order to get through the evening.
’Everything looks settled for the most part,’ a soft voice spoke from directly behind Kiba. The Champion did not turn around as he already knew it was Cindy. Her golden armor was still her outfit of choice for the evening as she rarely chose to take a day off.
”Good. Let’s make sure it stays that way. I want you paired with Scarlet for the evening. Willits is already with Garrus checking the top floor. Duath has been haunting the second floor just out of sight.” Kiba continued to scan the crowd as he spoke. He knew that Cindy was already nodding in acknowledgement to his instruction.
”I want you to make sure that no one gets too out of control. This is a celebration after all.” Eyes widened slightly in surprise as he felt the light touch on his elbow. It was the slightest of contacts, but conveyed support.
’Try to enjoy some of the evening. You need a little rest…after everything. The five of us are able to handle this along with the attendants already stationed. Relax a little. I saw Nathan was here as well. Maybe it would be good for the pair of you to spend some time together?’ Kiba turned his head this time to look at the softened blue eyes of the short woman warrior. He felt that this was one of the longest string of sentences he had ever heard come from Cindy. In that moment he allowed his face to truly soften into a smile.
’I will take that into advisement. Make sure to tell the others that the last hour is theirs to enjoy. Thank you.” He nodded his head to dismiss his knight.
A heavy sigh escaped the diowolf as he turned back to keep an eye on the revelry. Angela had needed something to distract her from the day that had plagued her for a long time. Kiba would need the same.
