Wesley jumped at the sound of Toya's voice and the ground cracking under the woman's feet. A young blonde boy went over near Hana and Belen while Toya headed towards the rampaging dragon. At first, Wesley was concerned that Toya would get killed by the dragon. But it quickly became clear that it should be Tempest and the dragon that needed to be worried about. Toya's calm calling to Tempest was quickly replaced with shouting despite Tempest's attempts to suck up to her. Wesley had to cover his ears else he lose his sense of hearing to the fury of a warrior. When Toya threw the teenager, he thought for sure that she was dead. The force that she was thrown at would have killed any normal person.
He made sure he was standing behind Hana when Toya pointed in their general direction, even though it was targeted at Belen. Then the woman bitch slapped a dragon and sent smashing into a road. At this point Wesley was wondering who was doing more destruction, Toya or Tempest? The poor dragon took off back towards the other dragons and Tempest had somehow survived. After one more scolding, Toya began to leave. Wesley had no idea how the small boy could be skipping so gleefully after her. He had just seen what had happened, right? Wesley was still quiet for a while, since he needed more time to process what had just happened. So that was the aunt. And the Tempest girl was a cousin? He would have to make a sketch of the family tree later.
"T-thank you for the information." Wesley said to Belen, not knowing what else to do.
He made sure to stick to Hana like glue. If THAT is what the father meant when he said that warrior women in Sularia were fighting prone, then he wouldn't leave Hana's side for a single second. Unlike Tempest, he was a lot squishier and easier to break. He was strong in his wolf forms but could not survive one of those throws. Unless he was in shadow mode. But in that point he couldn't be touched. Maybe that was how he would survive. Then they were stopped by a tired tall woman.
"Oh its fine." Wesley said, "There is a lot of work to be done and you're doing so much to help fix this mess. I'm sure we can find another way, right Hana?"
This was his normal friendly demeanor, slightly heightened by the fight that took place earlier.

The moment he heard the footsteps he knew she'd done it now. There was no hope left for reining in the chaos before the White Queen knew about it anymore. Immediately all the muscles in his body were locking up as he braced for what was coming. Sure he'd been yelled at and terrified a thousand times over, but with Toya Rose–you never got used to it. The color drained from his face and his smile fell to the floor as the half-fey was staring wide-eyed as Tempest's grandma sent her and the dragon into the ground. He almost fell over from the shockwave of the impact, and his ears were still ringing when the queen's shouting reverberated through every fiber of his being. It was absolutely terrifying watching a massive flying predator with scales being one of the most durable things known to man get its tail beat by a much smaller woman. And it was even more terrifying when said woman directed her gaze at him. He kept his mouth shut as Tempest was reamed, then stayed stock-still until the White Queen was out of earshot and out of sight.
Meanwhile, a very beleaguered brunette woman arrived during the scolding with a small set of tools. She took one look at the devastation all around her and the crumbling wreckage, then threw her hands up in despair. The dark circles around her eyes and extremely fatigued expression was the face of a person who looked and probably felt dead inside. And who could blame her if
this was what she was supposed to fix? After a brief existential crisis, Shiloh heaved a deep sigh and pulled out a mana potion. Popping the cork off, she threw her head back and started to chug like a sailor in a tavern after a heartbreak.
With the intense pressure of Tempest's grandmother gone, all the muscles that had seized up let loose and Belen fell to the floor. He let out a wheeze as he gasped for air. While things had been bad before, this time he was positively sure she'd kill them and bury them in a hole beneath the dragon pasture. He couldn't feel his legs and it was like he had a close encounter with death. Tempest's cousin Hana broke the silence.
"Soo… I have a hide for Kite." That was Tempest's twin brother, the one who had a tailor shop. With the imminent danger to his life now over, he looked up at them from the pavement and nodded. "Oh, he should still be in right now. Just take a detour down and make a turn at the left. It's called The Crescent Cloth, can't miss it."
It was somewhat comical how he was trying to act like everything was fine while still lying prone on the ground. When Hana and Wesley went on their way to the tailor's shop, they were stopped by the exhausted-looking, tall woman.
"I'm sorry to say this, but this area of the White District is now under construction. Please keep to the left side of the road while we perform repairs. If you need to go somewhere on this side, try to find a detour. Things should be up and running by the end of today."

“It’s a little late to get off the dragon Belen! If I get off now he will fly away and we’ll never get him. DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WILL DO TO ME IF WE LOSE ONE OF THEM?!” Tempest was scared for her life but god damn was she holding onto to the reigns. “She loves the friggin’ dragons more than me!”
Hana made a face and looked over at Belen as Wesley introduced him. “Yeah, I’ll answer now. I’m Tempest’s cousin Hana. Her grandma is my aunt.”
“I am the fucking precaution,” the steps taken by the white queen were loud as the ground literally cracked under the pressure of her steps.
“Oh, you did it now Temptemp,” an eight-year-old blonde boy with wild curls wasn’t too far. He was giggling as he instinctively went over by Hana and the rest of them. Toya was cracking her knuckles as she went towards the rampaging dragon. Once the dragon put his eyes on her he froze and it looked like even he was turning blue.
"CAN IT UNCLE SPARROW," Tempest made a hiss but she was hit in the forehead with a pebble by Toya to get her attention.
“Tempest,” Toya spoke with a calm that made even Hana shiver.
“Yes, my beautiful all powerful smart grandma?”
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO MY FUCKING CITY?!” The queen did a short hop grabbed the teenager and threw her with such a force that it whistled in Hana’s ears. Tempest created a crater as Toya pointed at Belen. “Don’t you even fucking start. AND YOU!” She pointed at the dragon. “How fucking dare you,” she started to move forward again this time her step cause the earth to shatter as she grabbed the dragon’s tail. The beast that weighed more than one hundred Toyas was sent flying towards the other end of the white court. The dragon immediately start to make noises towards his mistress. “I don’t fucking care if Tempest spurred you on accident. YOU KNOW BETTER.” She took her hand and bitch slapped the dragon letting it’s head smash into the road with a heavy force. He cried at her and Toya cracked her knuckles again. “Any more arguing and I’ll take tomorrow’s dinner to.” The dragon immediately went silent and put his head down. “Back to the pastures NOW. Any detours and I’ll make armor out of you!” She screamed as the dragon took off in flight towards where the other dragons were.
Tempest had finally gotten out of the rumble and was dusting herself off. “Grandma, I can explain.”
“FUCKING SAVE IT,” Toya looked up at Shiloh who had arrived per their agreement. “Keep your ass out of trouble before I break you as I’ve never broken a soldier before. THE SAME GOES FOR YOU BELEN. I’ll show you how I make soldiers obedient. STAY OUT OF TROUBLE! Is that crystal fucking clear?” Hana could see fire magic almost coming out of Toya's mouth. Boy she was pissed. Toya left after she was answered and the small boy skipped after her.
"Soo… I have hide for Kite," Hana finally opened her mouth to Belen and Tempest.

The different districts all sounded fascinating. It was interesting since he'd seen those colors used for those themes before in books. Red was used for either romance or for emergency healing. Black was usually used by assassins in stories. Purple was for the wealthy, who usually were merchants or nobility. And white was typically represented with keeping peace, purity, or military. The yellow was the only color that didn't make as strong of a connection. Then there was the fact that there was five rulers. Having more than one ruler was smart and it seemed that the Empress would be in charge of keeping the peace among them. A fascinating system that many countries lacked. Then Hana described how cheating on a spouse was a death sentence for both men and women. He wasn't concerned about that little fact and it wasn't the first time he'd seen a rule like that.
His attention was brought to the pathways by Hana. The fire opals and diamonds in the path were extravagant and beautiful. All of the sudden he was grabbed by Hana and in a tuck and roll as a dragon whipped its tail and destroyed a building near them. Alarmed, he pushed himself his feet and looked over to the building. It was being held up by magic to allow people to evacuate. Relief flooded through his mind and he turned his attention to Hana to see if she was unharmed. She had just saved his life, again. Wesley looked at the dragon and saw how Hana addressed the girl. They knew each other. She did grow up in the city but something in his brain suggested that this was another member of Hana's unique family.
"I'm going to take a wild guess and assume she's another one of your family members." He said with a bit of snark.
Wesley turned his attention to Belen, who also seemed to be shouting at the girl. He caught the word grandma, which made him a bit nervous. Some grandmothers were really sweet and nice. Perhaps he would be lucky and this grandmother would be a sweet baking and knitting type of person. They could share recipes and trade secrets about knitting if that was the case! But judging by the track record, he had a feeling that wouldn't be the reality. Still, all of the family cared about each other. That was better than….some families.
"Oh um I'm Wesley and this is Hana." He introduced himself politely, "So is the destructive dragon a welcoming ceremony or are we just lucky?"
He had a smile on his face indicating he was joking but the situation was serious. They needed to do something about the dragon before it destroyed half of the city.
"I don't suppose your city has any precautions for dragons, do they?" Wesley asked Hana.

"EVERYBODY RUN!!!" Screamed a brunet boy around their age, running down the jeweled path with his arms frantically flailing. He kept throwing worried glances up at the sky while muttering under his breath: "NONONONONONO!" As massive winged shadow fell over him, he dropped to the ground and flattened while casting a protection spell on himself. When he decided he was safe, he shouted up at the girl who was supposed to be in control of the rampaging dragon. "TEMPEST, GET OFF!! YOUR GRANDMA'S GONNA SEE YOU!!" It was too late now. He was sure word had spread like wildfire all the way to the White Court Mansion where a very angry queen was going to be grounding his girlfriend and the dragon very soon. Letting out a groan, he wrung his hands and pulled his hands over his face.
"How am I going to explain your way out of this one?" Belen moaned, before realizing there were some new faces here. Changing his attitude in the blink of an eye, he put on a winning smile as he said with a sweeping motion of his hand. "Welcome to Sularia! So, are you new here or can I help you with something?" He hadn't seen Hana or Wesley before, and he didn't know the two strangers were more related to him than he thought. Despite his incredible charisma, it was pretty obvious something was definitely wrong from how panicked he was a few seconds ago. If they hadn't seen the pandemonium for themselves, they might've been fooled.
Secretly Belen had his fingers crossed for Tempest to find a way to pull the brakes on the dragon before the White Queen showed up, but by now he knew that probably wasn't happening. Still it never hurt to hope… One of these days it would come true. Eventually.

Hana thought of the best way to answer and nodded, “The city of Sularia is ruled by five bodies. The White district for military, the Purple district for trades and diplomacy, the Yellow district for commerce, the Black district for espionage, and Red district is for the healing district. Each one has it’s own ruler. All five rulers are overseen by the Empress of Sularia but she stays out of everything unless her opinion is absolutely needed.”
Hana was proud of her country and it showed as she beamed when he complimented it. “It’s also split up because we will fight each other. Because mates are rare we get into fights… if a male cheats on his spouse is basically a death sentence though it’s the same for the women. Excommunication is what happens and you are either tossed onto the first airship or into the desert. We try to keep the peace here so… It’s very important.”
She moved towards the White district as the path changed. “All the districts have their own pathways. So you always know which one you are in,” she showed him the fire opals and diamonds that were laid in the path. “Sularia is a trade city so our wealth is invested into making the city more beautif–” She grabbed Wesley and did a tuck as roll as a dragon whipped it’s tail and took out a building next to him.
“WATCH OUT. CRAZY DRAGON,” there was a loud young female voice from up on the dragon. She had wild brown curls and icy blues.
“TEMPEST, WHAT THE FUCK!” Hana roared up. “You could seriously get someone killed.” The building behind them had been held up with magic as it was being evacuated.
“THIS ISN’T MY FAULT! I just wanted to check the dragon’s velocity!”

"Oh? Well I guess this is close enough." Wesley said with a smile.
The two weeks zoomed by and before he knew it, they were almost there. Hana brought him back to the ship's edge once they were close enough. The air was hot and harsh but he was able to look at the clouds that Hana had pointed out. As the beautiful fluffy clouds separated, the magnificent city of Sularia came into view. The city was split up into parts with distinct colors. A shimmering castle stuck out the most, which made him wonder if that was where Hana grew up. She was a princess, wasn't she? His question was answered when Hana pointed out the large white building in the red portion. She lived in the Red Court Mansion.
"Are the colored sections different from each other? Or are they separated for different reasons?" Wesley asked curiously.
He didn't know much about Sularia since his small village barely taught about the world outside of Parvpora. Some rumors about a paradise city popped up from time to time but that was the extent of his knowledge. The airship began to land and Hana took his hand, which made him smile. He walked close to her to avoid getting lost and to be with her. The city amazed him in every way. The designs, the people, and the new culture was candy to his brain. There was one thing he noticed. He seemed to be the only man around. His eyebrows knitted with confusion as he looked to Hana to see if this was normal or not. After she explained, he understood.
"Oh that's why the city is so organized." He said, "I bet other cities wish they had this level of organization."
He personally believed if more women were in charge, a lot of problems in other cities would be solved instantly. But that was an issue for another day. Right now, he wanted to see the magnificent Arri and learn all about it with Hana. And there was the sword too! He wondered what kind of blacksmith Hana would go to. She probably knew the most experienced and professional blacksmith in town. He was a bit relieved too, since he could take a break from the crazy of Hana's family. They were wonderful people and he appreciated how they truly cared for Hana! But a small break never hurt anybody.

She could see the look in his eye and she flashed a grin. He would get his sword but now he would need to meet her cousin, Tempest. That would be fun.
“Oh well, it’s fun,” that’s really all she had to say about airships. “It will take us about two weeks on the airship to get to Sularia. If the weather fairs well.”
Hana lifted herself up on the side of the ship as she felt the wind in her hair and she laughed towards Wesley. “Great isn’t it? Though according to my cousin Crystaline it isn’t quite like flying.” The two weeks went by fast and Hana brought Wesley back to the ship’s edge once they were about to the city. The desert’s hot air was hanging over them but she pointed. “Watch that set of clouds there for when they part. You’ll see all of Sularia. You’ll never see all of it like this unless you are in the sky.”
Sularia came into view and you could see the different distances with their distinct colors. The castle was shimmering and the aqueducts were throughout the city. Hoards of people were moving through the streets for the markets. “This is my other home. The homeland of the Rosenites. See that huge white building in the red portion?” She pointed, “That’s the Red Court Mansion. That’s where I was born and where my brother Lucian currently rules.”
The airship began to land and Hana took his hand as not to lose him in the streets as they got out. Where they were Wesley was the only man in sight. “I should tell you. Sularia has one man to every ten females. Rosenites have a hard time conceiving sons. So this is a city for women by women.”

Wesley had ensured that they were packed and ready to go when suddenly, Hana's father approached him and put his hands on Wesley's shoulders. The young man looked up at the warrior with confusion as the warning came. Opinionated females? That didn't sound like a bad thing… But if this great warrior was scared, then maybe there was cause for concern. Then he mentioned how Hana has scared off any guy who had tried to be with her. Angela also said something similar. Even Hana had admitted it. But he didn't mind. Hana was a beautiful fierce warrior and clever thief. If he couldn't ride it out, then he didn't deserve her!
"Thanks sir." He said quickly.
However, he wouldn't deny the father's best wishes. And this meant that the father wasn't hostile! He walked back to Hana and listened as she mentioned going to Sularia. And going on an airship. BUt when Hana mentioned getting a sword made for him, his eyes lit up a little. This was the first time he would be receiving a gift from Hana. That sword would be treasured like no other. But he tried to play it cool and pretend it was all normal.
"Oh a sword? That would be amaz- I mean that would be great!" He said with a sparkle of happiness in his eyes.
He would have to get her a gift sometime. Perhaps armor or something like that? That would be something he'd have to think about later. For now, they had to focus on getting to Sularia. Then Hana suddenly punched Jet in the face. Wesley hadn't been paying attention but he just assumed Jet deserved it. Then Hana took her boots and used them to cover Jet in grass and dirt. Wesley snickered, doing his best to hide it with his hands. He ended up being dragged out of the tribe lands of Bohar, but he still tried to give a short wave goodbye, even if they were the common rabble.
"No. I never had the chance. Until recently." He said with a small smile.
When she suggested to hold on to his stomach, he placed his hands on his stomach and waited. But even when the airship lifted into the air, he didn't feel queasy. For a moment he wondered why until he remembered all the times he fell out of trees and his drunken father tossed him about as a kid. After all of that, moving through the air didn't seem as nauseating as it might have been. He walked over to the side of the boat and looked at the world below, his eyes filled with excitement.
"This is incredible!" He exclaimed to Hana with a smile, "So this is what its like to fly!"

Before they set off from the tribal lands her pa came over and put his hands on Wesley’s shoulders. “Boy, I wish you a long life. You are going to need all the prayers you can get. Rosenites are opinionated and some of the females will fight at a drop of a hat. If you are headed to Sularia keep your wits about you.” The tall muscular man was leaning down talking into Wesley’s ear as Hana got ready for travel. “Hana has scared off everyone whos ever tried to be with her. Hopefully, you can ride it out.” He pat the boy on the shoulder before going off for military drills.
“It’s like a three month trip by land if we try to travel to Sularia. So, I think it would be best if we catch an airship in Adeluna. I have enough silver for two boarding passes from my last job. I need to drop off this pelt to my cousin in the White District. He has a tailoring shop there but also,” she looked down at his waist. “I want to get you a sword made for you.”
She put her pack upon her as her brother strapped it. “I gave you two love birds a bedroll. Figured you didn’t need it too big you’ll probably be on top of each other,” Jet said smugly as Hana turned around and punched him square in the face. She took her boots and kicked them up backward covering Jet in some grass and dirt with a mighty HMPH.
“Let’s go. No reason to say see you later to the common rabble,” Hana took Wesley’s hand and dragged him out of the tribe lands of Bohar. It took them two weeks to get to Adeluna to board the airship. “Ever been on an airship before?” She asked as she got their boarding passes and gave the silver to the man waiting. “Hold your stomach. You might puke.”
