When he called her that odd name again Larka twitched.
”Please, just call me Larka.” She requested, Larka had a dislike of pet names(aside from what Celeste called her) or formal phrases for females in other languages.
”Nice to meet you as well, Johann.” Larka replied while Conner just watched Johann from where Larka was holding him in one arm.
”Ah, I see, you, like me, aren’t from these lands either.” Larka replied as they walked towards the stall.
”I came to these lands looking for my wife after she was abducted, I have since found her, but we have decided we want to stay in these lands rather than go back to our homeland.” Larka explained in short as they came to the stall.
”Water for him and one for me, please. Conner, you want some water?” The little boy nodded, the young man at the stall handed a mug of water to Johann and one to Larka who held it to help Conner take a drink.
”You said you’re a mercenary, right? I’m retired from that life myself now that Celeste and I have kids. I was raised in it, my parents ran a mercenary crew when I was younger before they disappeared and my grandpa took over.” She took a drink of water herself and held it for Conner again.
”I still have contacts in the city and surrounding areas if you’re looking for work.” She offered.

I am not sure about food, my stomach would probably kill me for that but I will take you up on water. The stores of drinking water we had on the ship weren't exactly most refreshing. - he said shuddering slightly at the memory -
Larka? That is a very nice name Frau, If I can be so bold to say such a thing. But where are my manners, my name is Johann. - the mercenary then took off his hat and pressed it against his chest and bowed slightly for a momment and the put on the headpiece back on and resumed his normal stance -
Pleasure to make you acquaintance. - The man said with an genuine though weak smile.
- Parvpora, Frau, I took a ship from Ira up to here, though the Republic is not my Vaterland, nor any other nation or a city on that Continent. - Johann explained with a slight tinge of sorrow being audible as he did so. -
Oh well, no matter. I doubt you and your Sohn came here today to hear out some stranger mercenerie's sad life story. Let's get to that stall, I realy do need that water. - He finnished and went towards the place that Larke pointed to earlier.

Larka grinned.
”You have my sympathy, I’m not one to do well with sea travel either, or airship travel for that matter.” She gave a small chuckle and at that Conner giggled as well to mirror his mommy making Larka smile more.
At the man’s question of something he could do to repay her Larka shook her head.
”No need, I’ve been down and out in the past myself so I know what it’s like. On that note, you look like you could use a meal. I was going to get my son and a snack anyway, I don’t mind getting something for you as well.” Larka offered. She was nothing of not a nice person and now that she had three kids she was more apt than before to help out, being a good example for her kids.
”I’m Larka, by the way, this is Conner, the wolf is Kyu.” Larka introduced.
”Come on, there’s a stall close by that has some good stuff to eat and some water, you look like you need it.” Larka turned and headed in that direction.
”So, you said you came by sea? May I ask where you came from?” Larka asked curiously.

As Johann was pulled unto his feet, some manner of senses seemed to have returned to him. Suddenly everything felt sharper and clearer. The noise of the crowd, while still loud and nerve racking, wasn't as deafening as before. And in nick of time it would appear as the person that helped him up spoke to him, asking if he was drunk. If he was any other person, without a lick of self-awareness he would have felt insulted at this. However he knew that, in his current state, he could have been mistaken for a simple drunk. Despite that he felt an obligation to clear things up, to present his side of the story and to compensate her for her help. In equal parts from a simple gratitude and fact that he didn't wish to be owe her any favours, just in case.
-
Not drunk, Frau - he started -
Just……not feeling well after an long sea voyage……plus I might have eaten something spoiled on accident…. - He then felt his stomach voice it's own opinion on the matter, which was not pleasent -
And as to friends……I do not have any. Not that it matters that much but still…..ehm. Can I do something for you Frau? Anything to compensate you for your help? Although I have to say that I do not have that much money on me at the momment so I might be of limited help when it comes to monetary compensation.

Larka waited for the younger man to try and collect himself enough to get up. But that didn’t work he only fell back onto his face when he tried to grab her hand. He still was speaking in the language she didn’t know as he finally did manage to grab her hand. Larka showed her strength as she helped haul him to his feet, Conner watching the stranger curiously, but still burying his head into his mommy’s shoulder all the same. Peaking out now and then to see what was going on, and to eat the candy of course.
”You drunk?” Larka asked after she let his hand go and took a step back from him in case he got sick again.
”Hopefully your friends will find you soon.” Larka sighed and turned to leave.

Johann was in a haze. All the sounds that came from all around him were blending together into a unintelligible. It was an terrible deafening noise which consumed all of his auditory sense and all of the stimuli of that nature, including the question he was asked by Larka. His vision was no better either, out of focus and blurry. The mercenary was barely able to recognise his hands that were in front of him. Not to mention that seemingly everything around him slowed to a painful and confusing crawl. As he looked down he could feel his stomach churn and groan painfully. Then he visibly and audibly gagged a good number of times almost vomiting at one point.
He then turned his gaze upwards in hope to see a friendly face, but all he saw were blury waves of people moving in the crowd and all he felt was a stinging pain of sun upon his eyes. He started to look around, confusion and pain visiable in his eyes which darted from side to side in a chaotic and panicked fashion. They did so untill they regained enough focus to see the hand that an rather tall woman was extending to him…..or at least he thought that it was a woman. It was pretty hard to tell due to his current state. Nonthenless, even if he was barely able to see past his own arms, Johann tried to grasp the hand that was extended to him, which he did but he almost fell on his face while doing so and his grip was rather weak and shaky.
-
Danke…..danke….danke…..dankeschoon…… - He muttered when he grabbed the hand.

A giggle from a young child was mixed in with the noises of the market as the toddler, being held by his mother, reached out for a candy that his mommy had bought him.
”Easy, Conner, don’t inhale it.” Larka chuckled as her son chomped down on the candy bar happily.
”We’ll buy a few more for your sister and Celeste.” Larka smiled, Conner was just about two now and she had him up in her right arm, her left arm was made of stone and dirt, helped together by Larka’s earth magic. She was back to wearing her sword all the time, just in case, as thing had been starting to get dangerous again and Larka was nothing if not an extremely rage filled mama bear.
Celeste and Larka had decided that the twins needed some time apart from each other so Larka had taken Conner into the city while Celeste had taken Lilly to the Lake. It was when Larka was starting to move again that she suddenly had a weight bump into her. Her reaction was quick enough to get a leg out to stabilize herself and made sure that Conner wasn’t rocked too much.
With everything ok with her son Larka turned around and looked down to see the younger man on the ground. He was trying to get back to his knees speaking some language that Larka didn’t know, and retrieving a wide brimmed hat with feathers in it. Larka was about to say something but the younger man seemed out of sorts with the way he was speaking. From her arm Conner was watching the man curiously before looking beside Larka was a large midnight blue wolf with yellow streaks in her fur padded over and sat down.
”Are you ok, young man?” Larka questioned and reached out her left hand of dirt and stone to help him stand if he wanted the assistance.

It was an sunny day in Sularia when Johann arrived in the city. Although, from what he had heard, it would probably be sunny all year long so such a state shouldn't realy suprise him. Nonetheless weather was fairly pleasent and in most cases would be most perfect to relax and spend time on eating local cuisne and such. Regretfuly for Johann however, relaxation was somwhat of an distant dream as his money puch was pretty much hollow and he was wracked with after effects of sea sickness after a long travel from Parvapora to Canelux. His stomach turned and churned and made noises best described as "Wailing of the Damned and Wretched", head spun like child's favorite toy and legs trembled like they were made out of jelly.
Despite the fact that the Mercenary would love to just lay down and not move for a few days, he had still to get going. Now that he was in Sularia his one-way ticket had done it's job and he wouldn't be exactly too welcome aboard the vessel that brought him here and laying down on the streets wasn't exactly an option so he had to find somekind of an Inn, preferably one on the cheaper side of things. His condition, however, didn't help with the search not to mention the fact that he knew practicaly nothing about layout of the city so he was just bumbling around town, completely missing any and all taverns and resting places along the way untill he somehow got to the Bazaar.
While his current health condition was the main reason for this stupor, Johann was also deeply lost in thought at this time, despite his best efforts to focus on the surroundings. Ever since he found the cave with gravestone belonging to his late father, mercenary's mind was plauged with many a troublesome thought and an persiting type of curiosity. Who was his father? How did he end up in that cave? What killed him? Why did he leave me and my mother? What was the reason for all of this? Why was he kicked out of the house? What was on about with the whole "Blackwald's spawn" spiel he was given before being left to fend for himself at the age of 18? What was this, why this happened and so on and on.
His mind was cluttered and unfocused, barely being able to register his surroundings. He felt that he was being eaten out from inside out. Still he had to move and move he did through the crowd at the bazaar. All the colors, all the splendor and noise were just adding to the mess that he was now. Nonethenless he managed to get some coherent throughts to swim through his mind from time to time. About how he was going to find more information about his father and how it would probably take most of his life away……not to mention the amount of money probably needed to pursue such a undertaking.
-
Huh with my rotten luck I will never manage to get enough - he thought -
Alone I have no chances…..but…..hmh maybe I do not need to be alone in this? Maybe I could try to set up my own troupe? - His mind started to gain it's focus back, as it zoned in on this one particular -
Maybe I should start my own company, thus I could earn more money doing bigger jobs? It could work but…..where to start? How will I find willing people? And how-
Then his thoughts and he himself where brought to sudden halt which then managed to ruin all composure he had left, thusly falling unto the floor almost vomiting out the scraps of food he had gotten on the ship this morning. The reason for this? Well he bumped into someone, an 1.90 Meter tall somone with one arm, whip sword and assumedly some sort of an attitude.
-
Tut mir leid - he stammerd while trying to get back unto his knees and getting his wide brimmed hat, which fell from his head when he walked into this rather tall and strong person, back on his head. Tahnkfully the ribbon and feathers that decorated it were still in their place -
I was…..was lost in ze…ekhem the ehm…..thought…yes thought - he said weakly while trying to get back on his legs, which seemed to actively resist his efforts.
