The sound of a clicking tongue alerted the dark man to Dae's arrival, along with the man's scent. As his friend stood next to him and handed him a piece of parchment, Raith stood, turning his head in Dae's direction, unseeing eyes blinking at the man for a moment. "And what exactly would you like me to do with this?" He asked with a small, knowing smile. He was somewhat flattered that his friend had forgotten his affliction, it was nice to know that it was not always immediately obvious that he was blind. "It's not to wipe away tears, I don't generally shed them, not to blow my nose, I assume it's for me to wipe my arse with?" He snorted, sightless eyes rolling upwards as he shook his head at the man. "I'm ready, come on, you can fill me in on what these services are on the way. I'll be telling your sister about this later, she will love hearing about how you asked the blind man to read."

Once through the Gate, Raith lowered his ornate, metal blindfold across his eyes - he tended to prefer cutting to the chase with people, he had no time for explanations (and this might help Dae remember he couldn't see a fucking thing). The city was unusual silent and the man scowled, head tilting slightly to one side as though that might help him hear the missing sounds he had expected to hear. Thankfully Dae cut through his thoughts, snorting. "I'm in the Guild aren't I? Have I run her through yet? No. I think I'm handling my issues with my mother rather well actually. I was just wondering if you required Morrigan to hold your hand on every mission or if we could manage on our own, that was all," he replied with a smirk of his own.

At the sound of new footfalls Raith immediately flicked out his wings, turning and lowering his body all at once; ready to attack should it be required of him. However the voice seemed to expect them. Calming his own volatile instincts the man took the offered hand once he realised it was there, nodding to the man he assumed to be Damon. "I did think the city unusually silent. I take it that an evacuation has not been called then? That we are aware of at least."

Assignments were being given more readily than ever before. Dae felt that it was a sad day when his trade was necessary. Though it was sad, the assassin was more than willing and able to get the job done. A faint smile was on his lips while he sat in the antechamber with arms crossed over his chest. Full set of leather armor was being worn for this outset deemed essential by Kythe. He sat upon the edge of a dark mahogany tables. A letter had been read repeatedly that lay beside him as he waited for the right time to speak with Raith. The letter had been originally received by his grandfather. Kiba was more concerned than Dae had seen him before. Damon had been the one to send word that fortunes in Sularia had greatly changed. It was now for Noose to see what they could do to help.

Dae inhaled deeply before he stood up fully from his position. One last weapons check was made before he moved to find his partner in crime. The pair had found that they got along quite famously. Both were of the same nature, as well as they both wished for the happiness of Alairia. Dae cared deeply for his older sister. She was not like the rest of them.

He clicked his tongue while turning the corner to find Raith. Pulling out the letter the assassin showed it to the dark man along with flashing a grin. ”Up for a little trip? Our services are required.” Dae allowed his dark friend to look over the letter for however long he wanted. It was no surprise when the response of agreement came.

Arrangements were made to go through a travel gate to Sularia. The pair stood in emptied streets. Even with the emptiness, Dae kept his hood up to shadow his features. If not from necessity but pure habit at this point. When Raith poised his question there was a dark glare given in response at first. Morrigan was someone that Dae had come to know and begin to associate more frequently than he had with anyone before. The difference had been noted by a few in the family. Expression changed from annoyance to amusement. ”Well, I am not sure if she may join. I am just glad to see that my friend was able to get over his mommy issues to join me on this trek.”

Dae chuckled before he moved through the quiet streets. There were a few that skittered across the hot streets to get out of view as the pair moved forward. ”What the hell is going on here?” New footfalls welcomed them from behind that pressed Dae’s instincts to go for his daggers.

”That is a question I would like to have help in answering,” A tall man in green leather armor and well-constructed bow stood behind the young men. Damon kept his bow in hand as he walked up to the pair to extend a hand shake to each. ”Greetings and gratitude for your arrival. I have my protectee in hiding with some of my trusted guards. My concern is for the sudden quiet that has fallen over this bustling metropolis. It feels like the quiet before the storm. I would prefer to find the storm before it finds us.” Damon looked over the pair. They were both young in comparison to him, but he could feel the power that radiated off of them both.  The phoenix needed the help to prepare the city for what was coming.

He was running errands for his mother

Raith had to admit, of all the things he had believed would happen in his life, this had not been a part of it. He and Kythe had come to, what he could only describe as, an understanding. Their relationship was still tenuous, at best, but Alairia liked helping out with the Guild, and Dae had found a place working some of the more dangerous, darker missions that had so far crossed his mother's table… and so, Raith had thrown himself into that line of work himself. Since the incident with Xyaban, Raith had come to understand some of his mother's actions, while he doubted that he would ever forgive her entirely, he had a mutual respect for what she did (in a way) and had come to a truce with her… given his sister was now coupling with her adopted son (who just happened to be Ria's grandfather) he doubted that killing his mother would go down very well with the extended family…

When Kiba had received the letter, from his friend Damon in Sularia, the man had asked his grandson if he could travel to meet with the man and lend a hand where he could, naturally when Dae had subsequently sought him out and asked if he wanted to tag along, Raith had agreed. Raith and Dae had an their own understanding of one another; both loved Alairia with all of their hearts, but neither man denied who and what they were - with one foot in the shadows (both in Raith's case he would have said) neither would be like Alairia, but with her light they would always find their way out of the darkness that threatened to consume them entirely.

Once Kythe had opened the Gate to Sularia, the two men had travelled onto the city alone; they often spoke and Raith enjoyed the other man's company, though even Dae was not spared Raith's biting tongue on occasion. "Is your friend not joining us also? What was her name? Morrigan?" He queried, a tone of amusement in his words as he cast a sightless glance at the man beside him.
