“Are you sure you wish to do this?”, Rikichi asked as they were about to set through the gates of Sularia. “I thought they didn’t know of you?”
“Eldora does”, Junko stated matter of factly as she led the charge. “Still, I have to locate Xunatar. Your buddy said that his father was here, correct? Then I have seen out my master.”
“Fair enough”, he replied with manners that came from their homeland. It was very easy to see it from their appearances and gear as well that they belonged to Nisshoki. It had been years since she had set foot in her motherland- many memories both good and bad were stirred up just by setting foot on this soil. Her brother, on the other hand, hadn’t graced his presence here and was knew of it only because of her and Dante. The latter’s description didn’t do it any justice because he only spoke of the beautiful women here. As they strolled through the districts, she could feel her heartbeat quicken due to the anxious moment where she would reach the place she had once called home and face those that she had inadvertent left behind. It was a concerning thought, but she had to push through her fears and deal with it with honor.
Rikichi was here basically for support and to make sure everything went smoothly. As they crossed into the Black Court district, more memories flowed into her mind. Of her family, particularly of her devil of a woman that dared to call herself Mother. The very idea made her chew on her lip, her brother noticing this bizarre course of action made by a usually calm and collected Junko.
“Relax sis, it will all be fine.”
She wasn’t too sure about his words, but she relished in the comfort just the same and before they knew it, they were right in front of the Manor. Colden had been watching from the balcony when he saw the pair coming. Strange, one of them struck him as someone that felt faintly familiar. Racing downstairs, he bumped into Dante while he was dealing with the terrible two twins. “Hey, what’s the rush?”, Dante asked why he held his children by their ears, trying to establish order towards them. “A couple of people are coming here.”
“Ooh, company?” Releasing those brats, he moved towards the door and swung it open. “Rikishi! How marvelous of you to come here…and…” His smile dropped as he recognized the Rosenite and looked around. “Junko? It’s not safe right now for you to be here. You could be spotted at any moment.” Junko pushed past him, “I know.”
When she caught sight of the other male, she froze for a bit and smiled. “Colden? You certainly grew…”
“Wait, you know me?” He got a good look now that she was closer and as he looked at her, she resembled his mother…just like how his sisters did. “Are you…”
“Yes, I’m your sister. I’m Junko and it been an awfully long time since I’ve seen you before Mother snatched that time away from us.”
For a while he stood there silent, remembering briefly how Eldora had shown him a vision of the past where he was escorted by Lotus from the meeting room that the rest of their siblings partook in before Cyprus came and murdered them all. He figured that Junko was the only one that was there that survived.
“Yes, well, You met Junko and this is her brother, Rikichi”, Dante said, side-hugging his buddy.
