Dante was trying to play nice, especially after what happened to Eldora. He damn sure didn’t want to end up like she did, or worse. So far now, he wouldn’t step on any of her toes if it could be helped.
“My, forty years is a long time to nap. Must of had some sweet dreams, I hope.” Steele was still livid with her, but he kept his anger in check. Now wasn’t the time for it. He would make sure to seek out father’s advice, if there was any to gain, that was.
His brother, on the other hand, didn’t have long to think for his next move as Undine took to him and gave him a nasty little show of her teeth, a testimony of what her father had turned her to.
“Oh, the man-eater kind. I tend to forget that sirens…do that”, he smiled though inwardly he was a tad scared. He didn’t mess with them for that reason and that reason alone. Beautiful, yes, but he preferred if their bites didn’t rip flesh off to sate their hunger. The comment about sins surely didn’t help his favor either.
“Oh them? You wouldn’t want to meet them. Colden’s a bore and Kirika’s watching two troublemaking twins and Steele’s pup.” He looked to Lotus for direction.
“I mean, if you’d like to, then I’m sure that I can bring them out to see you.” He hurried off and in minutes returned with Colden, basically dragging him by the heels. “What the hell…first you two drag me back here and now…” Colden looked to Undine. “Who’s she?”
“That’s your sister”, Steele spoke up, bluntly.
“Eh? What do you mean?”
“Undine’s your biggest sister, fresh out of the sea, literally”, Dante joined in and the youngest brother groaned loudly. “Another one? I thought all the older ones got killed by….” Dante covered his mouth and looked at Undine with a big smile.
“Quiet, Colden. Don’t say her name.” After some struggling, all he did was stare daggers into his older brother.
“Kirika should be out with the children shortly.”

“She insulted me by comparing me to our wretched little mother.” Undine was rather flat about it as she stared down at Eldora. Still, she ignored the wolf for the now, in the back of her mind she knew it was most likely Eldora’s mate. She was smart and that made it so she could stay alive. Yet, Undine also knew that Eldora was doing it out of her mother’s instinct. She was if anything only a little rash in her decisions.
As Undine looked about Steele and Dante she smirked up at the white haired one. “Of course he would be. The way he growled at me… I just knew. Probably for the best really… It has been nearly forty years since the last time I was awake… Lotus was just a tiny little thing. She probably barely remembers my last trip home.”
Eldora breathed heavily for a moment before looking at Steele and Dante. “They call him Eligos, the Kraken of the Depths. He is a mighty demon… Just like your father and Lotus’s. They say his rage shaped the islands between the continents. Just stories but he is powerful. Mother decided when Undine was a toddler to throw her into the sea as a sacrifice to her own father. Enraged he took Undine and aged her into a woman purging her of her–”
“Of my Rosenite blood. I was made a Siren. A demon of the depths. Blessed by the demonic power that should have gone to Cyprus Rose… and I crawled my way out of the ocean and I tried to rip her to shreds. I missed.” Undine gave a smirk. “No need to whisper my story. I am quite proud of it.” Turning her eyes towards Dante she shrugged. “It is as it always is… Things change and things don’t change. I plan on seeing the world and what has changed… Though my world is very small. I may just stay here for a while.”
Eldora let out a sigh as she held onto her husband and stood up with him. “Actually… If you’ve ever been out to sea towards Abed… You’ll find her familiar. Most of the figureheads on the ships that are older are of Undine. She tends to like the warmer waters.”
“No, I like Abed’s waters because pirates are there the most… and I do love a corrupt soul.” She slid around Dante and wrapped herself around him. “Men with the most sins are the most delicious to devour… Their screams are the most genuine.” For a split second, she let her face morph just for Dante. Hundreds of razor sharp teeth were in place instead of her sweet lips. A true demon of the depths. There was a giggle as she let him go and looked at the small group.
“I can feel them you know. The two of our siblings and three little ones. I wish to meet them. I will be on my very best behavior.” A dress of deep blue appeared on her body like water washing down her. Her hair was died and decorated with shells of gold. Around her neck was a heart craved from sapphire. “Come now, introduce me. I promise I won't bite."

They had no idea of what was the hell was going on until
she showed up. Dante, in his usual fashion, was staring down her naked, wet body like a child looking at a multiple layer cake. Steele, needless to say, was more cautious about all this whole deal. Eldora could barely speak to her, and Lotus looked like she lost her voice ever since she showed up. If she had been the oldest, then why haven’t they heard of her before? Had she disappeared long before the events they were all wrapped in played out? Either way, there was something creepy about her, but surely enough his brother was foaming at the mouth. That was until Eldora was attacked from out of nowhere.
“The hell was that for”, Steele growled, but as he took a step forward, Dante held him back with his whip. “I wouldn’t, brother. You saw what she did to her. Think of what she could do with you.” It wasn’t too uncommon that Dante was the voice of reason between the two, and as much as Steele hated to admit it, he was right. She attacked with little effort, all to prove a point. Making her upset didn’t seem like the brightest idea.
Steadily, Dante released him only to now to be inspected for the lack of another word by Undine. “Why yes, I’m with Lotus and Steele’s with Eldora. Our children were placed inside, mainly because we were told to.” Steele said nothing but quickly went to tend to Eldora at the wall. After meeting the entity that turned out to be her father, Dante slid over to Steele as he helped his wife up and whispered, “Hey, you know him?”
“Why would I know? Father might, or rather have him in his book someplace. Don’t think he bothers with sea demons. They tend to be very ”temperamental at times.” Dante shrugged and put on his most friendly face. “Oh, so Undine. I’m Dante and this is Steele. I’m sure that everything must be a tad overwhelming for you all at once, especially after your slumber. Tell me, have any sort of plans now that you are back?”

All the sisters could do was shake their heads. “Take heed not to say–” Eldora was cut off and a more terrified look appeared on her face for a moment.
It was the noise coming from the back of the manor now. The ocean was screaming as if releasing something. Then the creaking from the docks like someone was there now. The utter silence made the noises that much worse. Eldora ushered them to the back of the manor to the balcony but no one was there.
“So much has changed,” it was a soft voice. A pleasant voice. A voice that could eat a man’s soul just from listening. “It’s true then?” Eldora snapped around there she was. The oracle let a hard breath out as her eyes met the blue eyes of another woman. “Is the witch dead?”
“Much has changed since you’ve been asleep… Undine.” In her human form Undine was a more lithe woman. She had long dark hair still wet from the ocean. She smelled of sea salt. Her body naked but composed as if she wasn’t bothered with it at all. It was Lotus who was finding the words to speak with her.
“My… Lotus has grown up but your eyes… One is fake.” Lotus grimaced a bit. “Another victim to the cruel bitch. If only I had finished her… but alas you all wouldn’t be here.” Undine walked out onto the balcony and stared out over the ocean. “When was this balcony built over my reminder?”
“Long time ago… You weren’t allowed in the house so you couldn’t see it.” Lotus crossed her arms just a bit and Eldora was still silently shivering from the power. “You caused the house to shift when you destroyed the shoreline.”
“I didn’t destroy the shoreline on purpose. The earth has done nothing to me. I missed when I tried to drag HER into the ocean and watch her body be crushed by the pressure of the ocean.” Undine hissed at Lotus. “The shoreline was an accident.”
Eldora finally stopped shaking. “This is Undine, the first and oldest of the Black Rose Court. No longer a Rosenite but a Siren from the deep. She is perhaps the only one who could have killed Mother by herself.”
Undine’s eyes snapped to Eldora before sliding them just a bit more to the right. Eldora got in the way. “Why do you block me Eldora? Don’t tell me those are your little ones inside?” Undine raised her hand and Eldora was forced back with a blast of water as she smashed against the wall of the house. “Do not consider me petty. I would not take my vengeance out on the innocent. Know your place.”
“Undine, that’s enough. She wasn’t trying to pick a fight with you.” Lotus finally snapped and Undine turned to her with a curious head tilt.
“Oh, I know. I was just making sure she knows the totem pole of this family… and she remembers her place.” Eldora who was once considered the strongest of the Black Court was pulled up by Undine. “And these fine… men must be yours…” She moved around Dante and Steele to get good looks at them.
The ocean creaked again and Undine looked out to it. A giant man with the lower half of a kraken was there. His skin a deep blue and his eyes a raging amber. “Do not cause trouble Undine. I am permitting you to the surface. Do not make me regret my decision of waking you.”
“Of course Father.” Undine had a smirk on her face as he slid into the depths. “Like I would harm family. I'm just cranky from waking up."

The day seem like a usual one, with Steele watching over his daughter while in wolf form (for both her entertainment and to catch Dante should he run his mouth at him or his wife as usual) and Dante was busy trying to play with his twins, despite fearing that they would simply try to drain him when he least inspected it. All he had to do was tire out the little buggers and then he’d be able to have Lotus all to himself again for a bit.
The wolf lifted up his head when Lotus spoke up and Eldora answered in a weird manner. She? His tail flickered about at Estelle as she attempted to capture it. Something was wrong; hardly anything stirred her mother like this. In fact, this was the first he had seen her scared before, perhaps aside from when Cyprus had attacked her. “What do you mean, she?”, Dante said, confused as he went to pick up the boys. “She better not be Cyprus.” Steele agreed, there was no way that she’d escaped her fate. Unless she was really that determined to ruin their lives. It might have been possible, the more he thought about it.
They did what they were instructed to do and carried off the children back to the youngest sister, telling her that something came up and that everything would be explained later. For more insurance, they went and tore Colden away from Crystaline and told him to look after things as well. Steele, now in human form, marched back with arms folded and Dante had his hands on the back of his head.
“So, what’s going on? Is Cyprus back?” “Yeah, you gals seem all sorts of scared. Who woke up?”

The depths of the sea were quiet. Even the slightest noise from a grain of sand shifting was loud down here. The bubbles from the cracks of the earth made noise much like a howling storm. “Undine, rise it is time for you to leave your slumber. Much has changed since you took your nap thirty years ago,” the voice was deep as deep orange eyes gleamed down towards her. Her beautifully scaled tail and fin of midnight blue and gold were curled around her as she slumbered on a nicely padded bed of seagrass.
Her eyes flickered open like the motion of a butterfly taking flight. Eyes of eerie blue shined bright in the darkness. “Why have you woke me so early Father? Have I disappointed you?” Her voice was much like the fabled tales that sailors would sing. The voice that had brought many of those sailors to the depths where their lives had sung their final note. Her fingers came up and went through her hair.
“No, of course, you haven’t… However, the world above has changed. The sea mist tells of a tale I think you would love to hear. A wretched soul has taken her last whore breath.” There was such pleasure in his voice as he spoke. She knew the witch he spoke of. The corners of her mouth turned into a smile as she pushed herself up.
“You surely tell of fairy tales my beloved Father. Such a woman would never die so easily.”
“Ascend and see for yourself.”
Her hand came up to wipe away the sea salt from the corner of her eyes. She was still so very tired and if it wasn’t for the good news that her father had brought she would have been quite cross. A yawn escaped her mouth as she left her comfortable crevice in search for the very beginning of the ocean… Or was it the end?
It was the approach to the surface that sent chills down Lotus and Eldora’s spines. They were visibly frightened and speechless as they around with their children. “What the hell?” Lotus looked at Eldora.
For a split second, the oracle was scared. “She woke up… This isn’t good. Dante… Steele. Take the children to Kirika and tell her to keep a close watch. This is an emergency. We'll explain everything after we know the children are safe.”
