Clyde was caught off guard by the story Katerina had told. He knew about the brother that was in love with his sister, but never in a million years would he had thought that would happen. His mind went back for a moment when he met this brother, he always thought his name odd, and he wasn’t as handsome as Thomas. He usually kept to himself till Katherine started to speak to him. Soon she was introduced to his brother Thomas. They’re love took off from there. Never had he seen two people so in love, until he met Margaret and now Lily.

The silence in the room was soon interrupted by his nephew, wanting to know more. Clyde took a moment before shaking his head. “No. Unless Victoria wants revenge for her brother. But she doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Besides Katherine…” He paused thinking back. “They were good friends. Until you went missing Will.” He nodded towards his nephew. “After that Katherine pulled away from her because… she was watching you at the time… You were grounded and told to stay in. Your parents were called to a meeting.–” He paused as his nephew chimed in. “I snuck out.” Clyde nodded in response as his nephew looked away.

“Your Aunt Anastasia on my side. She is a very…. Lively woman.” A smile curved on his lips as he thought about his sister. “She was supposed to be here today, but…the storm.” He glanced at the drawn curtains. “There was only 45 of us.Three Aunts and two uncles.” He said with a sigh then sat back. “I will message your Aunt Victoria soon. It has been a long time since I have seen her. Your other aunt… I have never met or heard of. I will have to talk to Victoria about her.”

That was the last time they talked about it. The next few days were spent getting to know each-other. The storm raged on out the doors of the house. The children and Kat split up a few of the guest room. Wilhelm was able to get a room by himself. They laughed and sang songs. Talked about memories the girls shared with their mother. When the sun cleared, Anastasia came over to introduce herself. Katerina and her got along well. They talked about their pregnancy and how it was doing. She soon left to get her sons in order. They both had just got up and left without a word, and just returned home that morning.

“Katerina. I have a house at the edge of the Viren’s forest near the ocean. I would like for you to take it.” Clyde held out the keys to her with a warm smile. He learned during the few days they didn’t have a home really, just cabins they would occasionally stay at. He didn’t learn much about Jax, but he hopped one day he would.

She accepted the keys with a nod. “I also have two guards posted there. Scarlet and Calder. Don’t let them alarm you. Just say Clyde sent you and give them this note.” He handed his niece a note then gave her a long hug. He wasn’t ready for her to leave, but it was time. “Come back and meet Lily will you. And our wedding should be soon. I would love for you all to come.” He glanced at all the family before him. Tears feeling his eyes and soon Katerina. With another hug he pulled away. “You have a safe trip.” He paused and turned toward his nephew. “You get her home safe! If anything happens, don’t hesitate to contact me.” Pulling away from Katerina, he hugged his nephew. “I am really glad you are together now.” Clyde said with a smile at both of them. “Me too…” Katerina and Wilhelm said at almost the same time.

It was now time for them to go. Hugging the girls, he soon helped them into the wagon. “Miss you girls. I will see you soon! I love you.” Clyde smiled at his new nieces and waved goodbye as they left. He couldn’t wait till he could tell Lily about it. Turning around, he down the road to help out with the clean up of the district. He was the queen's fiance’ after all, and soon husband.

As he held his sister in his arms, Wilhelm rubbed her back softly. Some people just needed to cry out everything they were holding inside. Katerina was one of those people. As he held her, his memories from when his mother held him; for a moment it felt like he was holding his mother. So many memories of the past had been brought up that morning. Soon it would be afternoon then night, how could he leave her now? She would have to go home and he would never see her again. He couldn’t have that… She needed him and he needed her.

The sudden thunder made both of them jump and look at Clyde. He was surprised that the children in the room weren’t crying. His eyes looked at their mother as she wiped her eyes. “You must be strong..” He thought to himself. “Especially to get this far.” His thoughts were interrupted by his sister falling onto the couch. Clyde left for a few moments to get hot cocoa for the children.

Wilhelm soon sat down next to his sister, a smile spread over his face from her thank you. He nodded his welcome, then turned his eyes to Clyde who entered the room. The wolf demon watched him as he sat down and started to speak to Katerina. Will was soon startled by her answer. He was just about to ask why on earth she would do that, but she soon started to explain her statement.

While Will listened to his sister speak, he tried his best to keep quiet His hands turned into first as the story went on. This “uncle” wasn’t a uncle of his. What kind of uncle would put a curse on their own blood and then try to kill them. No matter what the reason was, it wasn’t right.

When she finished her story, he let out a breath that he didn’t realize he was holding. At first he didn’t know what to say. Then his eyes turned to Clyde. “Is there any other “family” of ours that would want to kill her?” That was the only question Will could ask.

This was all new to the wolf demon, it had been a very long time since she had been around family. She didn’t know how to act when her heart was broken. She loved that her daughter was back in her life, but Jax was gone. She thought for once she would have someone to be with for the rest of eternity. Her wish wasn’t fulfilled, he was killed by the assassins that didn’t want him to leave. Katerina was very grateful to Jack for saving her two little girls, but there was still a whole in her heart. Maybe now with her uncle back in her life and her brother, she would forget about the sadness she continued to feel? A wolf demon could hope.

When her daughter spoke of Jax, she felt a flood of grief. It had only been a month and the sore was still hurting. She was grateful to Kiyomi for taking the baby from her. She just needed a moment to breath.

Taking a deep breath, she was ready to tell her uncle what eight years ago. The plan suddenly changed for a moment when her Wilhem took her in his arms and hugged her. He was so excited to have family. She wasn’t sure what to feel, but the moment made her laugh. Right after he said their mothers words. She would never forget them. As he spoke, she started in as well. “….No matter what, stick together. You will get through everything if you are together.” Katerina and Clyde had joined in and the same time. Her heart filled with joy at the family around her.

The wolf demon’s joy soon faded when her brother looked her in the eyes and said he would be there for her. He saw her pain, and she saw his. She couldn’t stop the tears the fell from her eyes. She kept herself from crying for over a month, she couldn’t cry in front of her babies. Now was a different story, she couldn’t hold it in any longer. Her tears came down like a flood, her sadness wanting to escape her.

Kiyomi eyes filled with tears watching her uncle embrace her mother. She blinked them away as Clyde moved from his spot to across the room. His movement made everyone turn to look at what was happening. Rain poured in vasts amounts outside. The wind blew everything that was outside, most leaves and roses., and the occasional table or chair.

The wolf demon quickly pulled away from her brother hearing Clyde’s words. There was a storm outside and they weren’t going anywhere soon. She couldn’t take her daughters out in that weather. A sigh escaped her. She felt a weight off her shoulders after she let her tears out. Her hands came up and quickly wiped her tears away. She looked up at her brother with a smile.

She felt two sets of little hands grab her pants. Looking down she smiled down at the two of her girls. “Mama?” Annette looked up at her mother, worried. “I am okay baby girl. Go get some hot chocolate.” She patted Annette’s and Freya’s head and they soon joined their uncle Clyde in the kitchen.

As soon as they were out of the room Katerina fell onto the couch. After a moment of silence, she looked at her brother who had sat beside her. “Thank you.” She said just above a whisper. She needed someone just to hold her while she cried. She needed family. She loved her girls more than ever, but she didn’t want them to get mixed up with the sadness she felt. She wanted to protect them.

Clyde soon joined them. Her talked about her other family. Her eyes rolling. “I killed one already.” Her words were sharp and clear. No one could have misheard her. Sitting up she looked from her brother and then her uncle. “My dad’s brother tried to kill me and my friends. Used his whole pirate army to try.” A smirk curved on her lips thinking how bad ass Natsumi was. “He placed a curse on me after he…. He was the cause of mother and father's death. They didn’t do any of the crimes that they were committed for.” Taking a deep breath, she knew she had much to explain. “He wanted mother. Dad and him both fell for her and she chose dad. Uncle Faffsalol, also known as Black wolf, held a grudge for a very long time. Even after he framed them. Then set a curse on me…A curse where I couldn’t bear any children..”

Tears caught her throat but she pushed on. “When he found me, I was on a remote island, shipwrecked with a dear friend and her daughter. With her by my side, we fought against his army, and I killed him. Then…..I received a miracle. Kiyomi…. He had her locked in his room when she was only a toddler. God’s know for what purpose. He also had her mother caged with other women and men slaves. She passed saying goodby to her daughter…” Katerina’s eyes moved to the door to the kitchen. “If there is any other uncles or aunts that hate my father. Please don’t send them my way.” She ended firm as she looked over at her uncle. Ready for anything he had to say, or questions.

After speaking to his nephew, Clyde wasn’t sure he would stay. The elemental sighed as he walked into the living area. He was so happy they were all together now. Even if Will left, it would all be okay. At least Wilhelm knew he had a sister now and she also knew. So many if’s ran through the elemental’s head as he walked into the room. All his worries were washed away as Katerina introduced her children. Her children! “I am a great uncle.” He thought to himself with a smile. “Hello, there children. I am very honored to meet you.” Clyde said as he started to bow.

Before he could straighten up, two little girls ran up to him. The smallest of them grabbed onto his leg, making a laugh escape him. The other grabbed his hand, holding it as she spoke. He laughed more at her words. After Katerina spoke, he smiled at her. “Its alright. She is right. I am very old. But our family do not age. Do we Katerina?” He said as he patted the girl's head before she ran off to her other uncle.

Clyde’s eyes followed her, the smile still on his face as he saw his nephew was pulled into the room. “You stayed…” Clyde said softly as he looked at Wilhelm and Annette. His smile was soon wiped from his face hearing about a death of a man. His eyes turned to Katerina, her face showed the look of loss. It must have been recent from the look on her face. He was about to say something as Katerina passed the child to Kiyomi who wanted to hold Eva.

“We have much to dis—” He started to say to her, knowing she wanted to speak. Instead he was cut off by the outburst of his nephew, who had a change of heart. Wilhelm ran over to his sister and taken her in his arms to hug her. A smile lined Clyde’s lips again, he was so glad that they were reunited. They all needed each other, but most of all Katerina and Will needed each other.

As he watch his daughter sink into Will’s arms, he frowned hearing the tears. “We are hear for you not, Kat. And nothing will ever change that again. “ Clyde said in a soothing tone. He wanted to reassure her they were they for her and she didn’t have to run away.

“For you Katherine. I will be there for her.” He thought to himself but the thoughts were soon wiped from his mind. Thunder shook the house as the rain was heard hitting the roof and windows. With the children not holding on to him any longer, Clyde was able to run to the windows. Only few people were out, hurrying to try and get inside as the rain fell hard and fast. “Damn. This is going to be bad.” He said aloud as he shut the curtains.

“You all will have to stay here today will the rain stops.” Clyde stated as he went over to the fire and threw a few more pieces of wood on. “There are also rooms upstairs that your children and yourself may stay in. You can’t take them out in this rain, it's just going to get worse.” He looked at his nephew and niece before heading toward the kitchen. “How about some hot chocolate girls?” He called as he walked into the kitchen for milk and cocoa powder. After he set the girls up at the large table, he lit the fireplace near them to keep them warm.

“I am going to talk to your mother for a minute. Help yourself to anything else, sweethearts.” With that Clyde made his way back to the living area. His eyes on the two sitting on the couch. “Katerina..” He whispered as he took the empty seat on her right. “You also have a few more aunts and uncles. I haven’t got in touch with them yet. But I will soon. You deserve to meet them.” He smiled. But the smile would soon be taken from his lips when he heard the story Katerina would have to tell.

As he stared at the girls before him, Will had no fear towards the woman who stabbed him. He did deserve it. Sometimes he wouldn’t leave women alone when he thought he had just a tiny bit of a chance. The wolf demon did learn his lesson that night. He didn’t approach women unless they wanted to be approached by him.

If he didn’t have any control of his body, his mouth would of fallen open at the mention of the woman was his sister. For a moment, he felt disgusted of himself; he had flirted with his sister, found her good looking, and wanted to sleep with her. ‘I even imagined her naked…. What is wrong with me..’ He would of face palmed himself if it wasn’t for his uncle making him step aside for the girls.

The children passed by him quickly, his sister on the other hand slowed her pace while passing him. She did this just so she could make a remark to his outburst a moment ago. How could she be so cold hearted to leave a man in the street to die? He wasn’t capable of dying but she didn’t know that. She just walked away without a word that night.

Clyde’s voice broke through Will’s thoughts, making his eyes turn to look into the same blue eyes. He froze at his uncle’s words. ‘She hasn’t had it easy either.’ Wilhelm repeated the words within his mind. Memories of the past floating through his mind. The wolf demon remembered always wanting a sibling. How amazing would it be to be a big brother.

A sigh left Will’s lips as he leaned back against the wall, his eyes staring at the door handle. He wasn’t sure if he should walk out or stay. His mother's voice echoed in his mind. “Family will always give you strength, my love. No matter what, stick together. You will get through everything if you are together.” A curse left his lips. He knew what he had to do. Stay.

Pushing off the wall, he made his way up the hall and stopped just at the entrance of the living area. He watched as the two young girls interacted with his uncle. A smile lit up Clyde’s face as the child talked to him. A small girl with long blonde hair. Just like his mother.

It wasn’t long until she spotted him hanging by the doorway, and thought that he should join as well. A smile cross Wilhelm's face as he was pulled into the room. The blonde-haired girl started to speak. She seemed like she could talk about anything, even things that weren’t meant to be said to strangers.

The wolf demon’s eyes looked toward his sister. He knew what it felt like to lose someone you love. Your heart would forever be missing a piece. “Recent…” Will thought to himself. He could tell by the look that crossed her face the moment her child spoke of “Jax.” At least she had her children to help her move on. “But now…She has me. I have a sister….I have a sister!!” He yelled in his mind with excitement.

A laugh left his lips after the thought, he was happy. It had been a very long time since he had been happy. He noticed that the baby was in the eldest daughter's arms and ran up to his sister. Taking her within his arms and hugging her tight. “I have a sister!” He finally said aloud. He pulled away quickly noticing she was uncomfortable. He looked straight into his sister's eyes and repeated his mother's words aloud. “Family will always give you strength.  No matter what, stick together. You will get through everything if you are together.” By the end of his sentence, his sister joined in and so did his uncle.

As he looked into his sister's eyes, he saw the pain. So much pain. He smiled at her. He knew she would be better now. Now that they were all together. No matter how much pain they were in, they could get through it together. “We will get through this loss together.” He whispered to her and only to her.

When tears started to fall from her eyes, he took her into his arms and hugged her tight.

Katerina wasn’t sure what she was expecting. An old man? She didn’t know which side of the family. As she stared at the door after her children knocked, it felt like an eternity till it opened. Her eyes widen in shock seeing the man she stabbed years before this. The memory played in her mind as he stared at her in shock as well. He had flirted with her multiple times even though she told him to stop. When she had left the bar, he started again and then forcefully grabbed her. He was drunk. Instead of just punching him out, she took the blade from her waist belt and stabbed him in his gut. She walked away and didn’t look back.

When her uncle came into view, she automatically recognized him. He sure wasn’t an old man. She had to hold back a gasp hearing who the stranger was. She didn’t say a word as she let her girls in the house first, then followed behind. As she passed Will, she said for only ears who were next to her. “I was having a bad day.” With that, she walked inside into the living area. The girls were jumping up and down with excitement. “Girls. Sit down please.” Katerina asked as she sat down on the long couche. Her girls joining her on the couch.

“Mom. Is that our uncle?” Kiyomi whispered as she sat down next to her mother. “And you stabbed that guy before?!” Kiyomi was about to ask another question before her uncle walked into the room. Katerina didn’t answer any questions but held up her hand to quiet her eldest. “Its nice to see you again, Clyde….. Girls this is my uncle Clyde, he would be your great uncle.” Katerina said with a small smile. She was happy to have family now, but at the same time still scared.

“Clyde. This is my eldest daughter Kiyomi, Annette, Freya, and my youngest…. Evangeline.” As the wolf demon introduced her family of girls, Katerina pointed at each of them. Annette and Freya waved with big smiles on their faces. Kiyomi did the same with a “Hello.”

The small girls, being excited, jumped off the couch and ran up to Clyde. “You're not old. If you were her out great uncle… you would be old!” Annette stated as she looked up at him from her 3 and a half feet. Her sister coming up right behind her to hug his leg.

“Annette. Be polite please. That isn’t a way to talk to your uncle.” Katerina spoke firm as she rocked her baby to keep her from waking. “Sorry, mom.” Annette said with a smile as she glanced back over to her mother.

As Annette looked over to her mother she saw the man standing in the doorway. “You are my uncle too if you’re mom's brother!” Annette said cheerfully as she ran over to him and tugged at his coat and pulled him into the room. “I’m really glad I have uncle’s. Jax was the only man around us girls….He was going to be our Dad… Well that was until he was killed—” Annette was about to keep talking, telling her story until Katerina gasped. “Annette!” Kiyomi was the one to quiet her sister. Annette shut her lips, not wanting to speak anymore. The look she saw pass on her mother's face made her regret saying anything about Jax.

Letting go of her Uncle Wil’s coat, she ran over to her mother and sat next to her. She grabbed her mother's free hand and squeezed it softly. Freya joined her sister but sat on the floor at her mother's feet.

Katerina sat there for a moment, her heart gripped with sadness. "Mom." Kiyomi whispered to get her mothers attention. Katerina looked over at her daughter, she had broken her out of her sadness. Clearing her throat, Katerina looked up to her uncle again. "So. Much has happened since I last saw you." Katerina locked eyes with her uncle. She had this need to pour our her heart to him, but she couldn't; not yet.

Clyde couldn't let the silence get the best of them as they ate. He didn't expect this first meeting would go this way. Well, he didn't know how it would go at all. He hopped for a man that wouldn't stop wanting to talk to him. Although, he knew deep down that probably wouldn't happen. He talked about his life here in Arri, hoping that his nephew would say something at all. Clyde wanting to know as much as he could about the life Wilhelm had. The elemental missed so much, all because he couldn't find any trace of his nephew.

"I probably made up for it that way…" He thought to himself as the images from her his sister, Anastasia's family came into view. Just over twenty years ago, Ana's first child was born. He didn't want to miss their lives as much as he did Katerina's and Wilhelm's. He stayed in their life as much as he could, only leave a few weeks here and there to search for Katerina. Which was one of the reason's why he didn't go forward with his life. He cared about his family more then his own.

With a mental sigh, he pushed away his thoughts and was about to ask Wil about his lunch. Instead his nephew spoke. Clyde listened to his every word, his heart aching for his nephew. He saw his parents die right before his eyes. This would break any child. "I'm sorry you had to see that…" Clyde whispered and his nephew continued to speak while slamming down his mug.

"Wil-" He started to say Wilhelm's name but the outburst continued. "I'm so so sorry…" Clyde thought as he stood up quickly to follow his nephew as he rushed out of the kitchen. "Wait! Wilhelm!" he called to his nephew as he hurried to follow him. "Please stay and we can talk—" The elemental was cut off my the door opening and seeing the people behind the door.

Clyde's eyes locked with the red hair woman holding a baby. Her eyes the same blue as his and Wilhelm's.  "Kat–Katerina…" The elemental stammered out with excitement. There was his niece, but with red hair? That was quite a change from her dark hair.  Then the outburst from his nephew made a laugh escape his mouth. So they had met, if only they knew then that they were family.

"Wilhelm…..This is your sister. Katerina Sofia Silverstein. Katerina I am Clyde and this is your brother Wilhelm." He introduced them and saw the little eyes staring at him. "Please! Come in before you catch a cold. The clouds are moving in. There is probably going to be a storm soon." Stepping aside with his nephew, the family of girls rushed in. "There is a warm fire in the living room to your left.." He turned his eyes to his nephew and pleaded with him. "Please stay."

After shutting the door he looked back into his nephew's eyes. "You man choose to stay or go. But i beg you to stay. Your sister hasn't had it easy either." Turning away he headed into the living area.

Will stared at the man sitting across from him. He was unsure about the whole situation. He started to go through the memories of his childhood. He didn’t remember meeting him, but he did remember his mother talking about her family. The wolf demon heart began to ache as he thought about his mother. He knew she loved her brother dearly. She would want them to be close.

The wolf demon mentally sighed as he thought about the time he hated his parents. Back then he didn’t understand why they didn’t save him. Until he grew up and finally admitted to himself, maybe they just couldn’t find him. When he saw their death, he tried so hard to stop it. He hated himself for hating his parents then, and the time in jail didn’t help either.

Pushing the thoughts away, he heard Clyde ask if he was hungry. With a nod to his uncle, he stood up and followed him into the kitchen. Will looked around the large house, it was much bigger than any house he had ever lived in. “Place is pretty grand…” he thought to himself as he entered the kitchen. He was soon caught off guard by the hug from his uncle. It took him a moment but the wolf demon brought up his hands to hug him back.

When Clyde released him, Will stared into his uncle's eyes as he spoke. His uncle was really happy to see him, but was Will? Every since Clyde open the door, Wilhelm kept seeing his mother. Her blonde hair and blue eyes continued to stare at him when Clyde looked at him. This made the wolf demon quiet. He couldn’t really get his thoughts and emotions together without imploding.

As the time passed they finished their sandwiches. Clyde made occasional talk, but mostly Will stayed quiet.

That was until he started to speak, “I saw them die… “ Wilhelm stared down at his wine. Watching to movement of the liquid as he breathed down into it. “I came back just in time to see those bastards kill them…” he finished then drank the last few gulps of his wine and slamming it down. “I came to peace a long time ago with the fact my parents didn’t find me. But now? Now you send me a note saying your my uncle. I am sorry I am not excited about meeting you. It's just bringing up too much I wanted to forget.” Standing up from his bar-stool, he bowed slightly to Clyde. “Thank you for at least contacting me. Now I must go.” Turing he hurried out of the kitchen. His uncle close to his heels.

Wilhelm didn’t hear the knock at the door when he swung it open. He froze in that moment seeing two little girls before him. Then an older woman with her baby and a young girl. They all stared at him wide eyed for a moment. Will was about to move past them when he stared at the red hair woman before him. He could never forget that face, even if her hair was changed; her scent was the same. “You're the damn woman that stabbed me a few hundred years ago!” He was shocked at first. He couldn’t believe he would run into her again. Could this day be getting better? Or would he like the news he would soon hear leave her lips?

The wolf demon decided she didn’t want to wait any longer to reach her destination. She made the decision to keep moving, and only stopping to let her girls to stretch their legs. During the night, Katerina would have the girls sleep in the wagon as she made her way across the desert. She saved one day of their voyage just by not sleeping during the night. Kiyomi would force her mother to sleep during the day a few hours and Kiyomi took the reigns.

Among many of the talks Kiyomi and her mother had, only one was the most important. They were almost to Arri and Kiyomi was sitting next to her mother while her sister’s slept. The sky was filled with many oranges and reds; the sun was raising. Kiyomi couldn’t wait any longer for her mother to speak, so she asked, “What was the letter you got about?” The young dragon didn’t know that this would raise so many memories in her mother's mind.

Katerina was quiet for a moment as they made their way through the edge of the rainforest. “It was a letter from my uncle.” Katerina took a deep breath as memories rose in her mind. She only met him once, but she still remembered him. His kindness, the way he smiled bright. How close her mother and him were. “I thought he was dead?” Kiyomi questioned. “This is another uncle, from my mother’s side, Uncle Clyde.” Katerina’s voice was low, not wanting to wake her children just yet. “Mom…..Why don’t you talk about your mother?” Kiyomi asked and didn’t expect the story her mom would tell.

The wolf demon sighed at her daughter’s question. She knew it was time to tell Kiyomi about Katherine, Katerina’s mother. The wolf demon started off with where she lived and how happy her life was, until her uncle “Black wolf” came into the picture. He set up her parents and after he left without a trace, her parents were put to death. She explained how her uncle was killing innocent people to get back at his brother, her father. “Just because Katherine’s married him and not my uncle. The town council put to death my parents thinking that they were the people doing it. Even though my father helped around the town and my mother helped with the orphans.” Katerina paused in her words to take a deep breath. She didn’t want to cry she couldn’t.

After the story was over, Kiyomi sat there quiet. She couldn’t believe her mother had been through what she had and was still standing. Scooting over she put her arm around her mom and snuggled into her. “I don’t know what I would do if I lost you, mom.” Kiyomi whispered into her mom's shoulder as tears filled her eyes. “You will never loose me, love.” Katerina put her arm around her daughter and squeezed her tight with one arm. Her lips kissed her head and she tried not to cry.

A few moments of silence passed before the large stone walls came into view. “We’re here.” Katerina said letting go of her daughter, so she could sit up. “Whoa. This place is beautiful.” Kiyomi’s voice rose higher, excitement filling her.

Evangeline started to cry, making Katerina turn around and scoop her up to snuggle her. “Good morning, sweetheart.” Kat smiled down at her daughter. The one she thought she lost but was given back by her best friend. “Mmmm.. Mom..” Annette sat up while she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. “Are we there yet?” Annette barely opened her eyes before she gasped. “We’re here!!” She yelled excitedly. “Yay! Yay! Yay!” Freya cried out as she leaned against the seat of the wagon between her mother and oldest sister, her fox ears twitching this way and that.

A laugh escaped Katerina as she watched her daughter's excitement grow. They were there and it wouldn’t be long until they were at the door of her uncles.

Freya and Annette, excited, knocked on the door before Katerina and Kiyomi got there.

Clyde sat there before his nephew. His heart sank when Will spoke of what happened to him. His nephew, his blood, was sold into slavery. If only he found him sooner, Will wouldn’t have gone through what he had. A sigh left his lips as he listened. He wanted to cry for his nephew. Sadness continued to grip his heart.

“I am sorry you had to go through that. If you ever want to talk more about it, I am here to listen.” He never knew what slavery was like, he had been a free man since he was born. All his understanding was from the stories he had heard. Some owners could be crew, others sincere and nice. Clyde hoped it was a nice owner, but from the tone of his nephew, he knew otherwise.

“Wait.. You…You came back?!” Clyde sat up straighter and stared at his nephew. Will knew of his parents death. A frown crossed the elemental's lips once more. “Your parents… They loved you so much. I hope you didn’t see how they’re life ended, it wasn’t very…” His voice trailed off. “Your parents didn’t do what the charges said. They weren’t those kinds of people. Your father was a hardworking man who cared deeply for your mother. My sister…She was such a kind person.” As Clyde spoke about his sister, he turned away to stare at the fire, trying not to cry. Grief always came in waves, even years after. Today would be a hard day.

Will soon spoke, his thoughts on his sister and Aunt. “Yes. I shall call for your aunt. Your sister though, she should be here by tomorrow. She sent me a letter a few days ago. She is bringing some company.” A smile crossed his lips. He hoped deep down the “we” were children.

Clearing his throat, Clyde stood from his spot on the couch. “Are you hungry? I can make you a sandwich? No one will be home for quite awhile. My fiance’ is the queen of this district, so she has a lot on her plate. And her daughter isn’t home that often.” Finishing he motioned for his nephew to follow him. The elemental lead the Will into the kitchen and pulled out a chair. “If you like I can take you on a tour of the city after we eat. There is lots to see here.” Stopping in his words, Clyde turned to look at his nephew. He was swirling with so much emotions. In a quick movement, he hugged Will tight. “It's good you're here,” the elemental said as he pulled away. His hands on Will’s shoulders. “It has been too long.” With a pat on his shoulders, Clyde pulled away and started on the sandwiches.

When he finished the sandwiches, he sat one plate in front of Will at the bar and took his beside him. “Thank you for coming, Will.” He said with a smile then started to eat his food. Sending a mental message to his sister to come visit as soon as she could.

Wilhelm was about to turn and leave when the door opened before him. The man standing looked like his mother. He hand to hold back a gasp as he stared at the man with golden hair. The man said Hello and motioned for him to come in. The wolf didn’t say a word as he followed the man inside. He wasn’t sure of what was happening but was hit by grief. The man looked like his mother, and the last time he saw her, she was being put to death. He swallowed hard as Clyde showed him to a living area where they took their seats.

Will couldn’t speak at first, his words lost to him as he stared at the man. He couldn’t get over the fact that Clyde looked so much like his mother. He now knew for sure that this wasn’t a trap, this man really was his uncle. The man before him wasn’t looking to hurt him. Will dropped his hand from his sword and laid his elbows on his knees. He leaned forward listening intently but still not speaking. What words could a man say to this? How could he respond. Will hadn’t thought about his family in a very long time.

“A sister….” He thought to himself. He was excited to have family, but at the same time scared. Or was it something else? He didn’t know.

When Clyde finally stopped speaking, Will nodded. He didn’t want it to seem like he wasn’t listening, he heard every word the man before him had to say. After a few minutes of silence, the wolf finally spoke, “I was kidnapped.” The words that finally left his lips made Clyde lean forward. “I was kidnapped and sailed across the sea’s to an unknown land. Sold along with another girl my age, Julia, and an older man named Charles. I lived there for a long time.” The beatings he took flashed through his mind. “I escaped seventeen years after and came back…at the wrong time.” He swallowed at this and didn’t want to talk about it anymore. Clyde knew enough. Maybe he would understand the last part. The moment of his parents death flashed through his mind. He couldn’t believe he would come to town the moment his family was put to death.

“So you have a sister. That means I have an Aunt as well.” Will smiled at the comment. “When will I meet her and my sister?” He asked hopeful in the greetings. He honestly couldn’t wait.

Some days had past for the elemental since he sent out the letters to his family. He received noticed from Katerina that she would be there in a few days, but nothing from Wilhelm. Clyde sighed as he walked back to his new home. He smiled happily at the thought. This was his home. It had been a long time since he felt like he belonged. It was the people around him that made him feel like this was home; Lilly would be his wife soon, he would soon have another child, Angelique had come back into his life and knew the truth. “Everything is falling into place.” He thought with a smile. Soon his niece and nephew would join him and his life would be complete.

Opening the door he entered his home; no one was hope yet. So the house was quiet. Clyde would always give the servants a day off here and there. They appreciated them for that. Being in a house with Lily and her daughter could get to anyone. He didn’t mind at all, he was too happy having a family of his own. Soon he would be able to watch his new child grow.

As he entered the house, he put up his black coat on the hook beside the door and headed towards the first living area. A sigh left his lips, he was getting anxious. He wanted to see his family. He met his first nephew when he was only a baby. He frowned at the circumstances that lead WIlhelm away from the family. Katerina on the other hand, he had met when she was about six years old; hopefully she would remember him. It had been so long.

The elemental’s eyes spotted the empty fireplace, and he finally noticed how cold it was in the house. Grabbing a few pieces of wood by the fireplace, he tossed them in. Not wanting to use any matches, he lit a small fire in his hands and shot it at the wood. Crackling filled the air as the fire roared to life. His eyes locked on the flames as the danced; his mind silent.

The knock at the door made him jump. “Kat?” He thought to himself as he headed for the door. Clyde’s hand circled the handle of the door and pulled. A man stood there staring at him. The elemental stared into the eyes of his sister. “Wilhelm… come in come in!” Clyde’s lips lit with a smile. He stepped back to let in the man. After he entered he closed the door and ushered him into the living area. The elemental motioned him to sit across from him on the couches, and sat down at the same time as him.

“You look like your dad… but you have the eyes of your mother.” Clyde said with a smile. He paused for a moment. The silence looming over them for a few moments. “I haven’t seen you since you were a babe…. When you went missing, I came back and tried to look for you with your father and mother. We couldn’t find you. We had no hope of finding you. There was no trace….” The elemental sighed. “It wasn’t until your mother had gotten pregnant with your sister we stopped. I had to return home as well to help my sister. I'm sorry…. I'm sorry we couldn’t find you before…” Clyde trailed off thinking of the death of his sister. “Your sister… She should be here soon. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask anything.” Clyde finished as he sat before his nephew.

A few days had passed before the wolf reached the gates. He stopped looking up towards the large archway. Taking out the letter from his uncle once more, he read the directions to where he was staying. During the ride there, the wolf had his doubts. Was this really his uncle? Did he really have a sister? Or was this a trap? He had made enemies in the past.  Whether this was a trap or not, he had to find out if he really had family. The wolf had been alone for too long.

With a click of his tongue, his horse started to move. His eyes looked around at the flowers that seemed to take over every inch of the path besides the white stone beneath his horse's hooves. Leading his horse into a small horse chorale,  he tipped the keeper and continued his way on foot.

Blue eyes looked from one woman to the next as they passed. Will smirked at a few of them, only to get a gasp and the women running way. The man shrugged and continued on his way. He didn’t care because there was more “fish in the sea.” He laughed at the thought and continued on his way. Soon the bazaar came into view and instead of going where he was supposed to stopped and decided to look around.

His eyes looked from one seller to the next. He was amazed by all the natural items they were selling. Will’s eyes soon landed on some leather armor. “Whoa. This is really nice.” He said softly as he touched the black leather coat with a high collar with studs. The arm-guards and leather pants went well together. “You look like a man who needs some armor.” The merchant smiled as he came over. “You don’t have to pitch anything to me, sir. I want it.” Will stated as he tossed a bag of coins to the man. “You have good taste.” The man said with a smile as he tied the coins to his belt. “Yes. Yes I do.” Will nodded in agreement.

As soon as the armor was off, Will didn’t want. He used the man’s private space to put on the armor, the leather coat on over his black tunic and slipped on the leather pants. He quickly tied up his black boots and nodded. He was happy with what he had bought, plus it looked good on him. The leather was lightweight but durable.

With that, he left the bazaar and headed to his uncle’s place in the yellow district. When he reached the door. He looked up and around with wide eyes. His uncle was sure rich. With a few knocks, he waited. His hand on his sword on his hip, ready for anything.

It had been two days since they set out for Arri. Katerina didn’t know how Evangeline would do on the trip but she was doing really well. The baby was wrapped up against Katerina’s chest so she was able to guide horses that pulled the covered wagon she had just bought. Athena pulled the wagon slowly, she didn’t want the warmth of the desert to harm her.

“Mooooooo,” The sound of a cow echoed behind them. Having a baby meant having a cow with them at all times.

“How long till we are there, Mama?” Annette leaned over the opening of the wagon to speak to Katerina. “Should only be another day, sweety.” The wolf demon put both reins in one hand so she could wrap an arm around her newly adopted child. It had been only a month since she took her and her sister in, and they only recently started to call the wolf Mom.

Leaning over slightly, Katerina kissed Annette’s head. “Mama..Mama…. Mama.” The soft voice from the back made the wolf smile. “Yes, Freya?” She called over her shoulder to the toddler. Freya moved up along the wagon to where Katerina sat, she squeezed in between her sister and her mother. “Want a kiss too?” Katerina giggled out. “Yes!” The little girl’s face glowed with a smile. Katerina obliged her with a smile then looked ahead.

Just ahead of them was Kiyomi, a smile crossed her face seeing the interaction of her new sisters and mother. The moment warmed her heart as she watched. When Katerina looked forward again, her eyes caught sight of her eldest daughter. She blew a kiss to her which made Kiyomi giggle a bit then look ahead.

Kiyomi and her mother had traveled to most of the land on Canelux, but never Arri. She didn’t know why and decided to ask. “Mom, why didn’t we ever go to Arri when I was little?” The dragon asked over her shoulder. Her mother glanced over at her and shrugged. “I’m not sure, I guess I just love the wildernest better. I’ve heard that this place has a lot of… stone.” She answered. She really didn’t like to be closed up. She loved the trees and the wild. Kiyomi understood that, she loved every chance to spread her wings.

“Let's make camp here.” Katerina pulled the wagon into a stone area. It looked like it used to be a castle of some sort but had fell prey to aging. Stopping the aging, she jumped off of the wagon and walked around to the back. “Hey girls.” She smiled as she grabbed hold of Annette. Lifting her she set her child on the ground, then she did the same to Freya.

As Katerina took care of the girls, Kiyomi tied her horse to the back of the wagon, and then went to look for wood. It wasn’t long until the fire was going and dinner was done. They all say around the fire and enjoyed the heat. Katerina smiled down at the baby as she fed her warmed cow’s milk in a bottle.

After they all were fed and happy. They all laid in the wagon and soon fell asleep. By mid day tomorrow, they would be at their destination.

Wilhelm stared out into the ocean. His eyes sparkling against the rays of sun that bounced off the ocean. When his net was pulled, he looked down into the water. He finally had a catch. Taking a knee, he leaned back as he pulled up the net and then threw it over the side of his boat. Fishes moved this way and that trying to get free. “Good catch.” He said to himself with pride. It had been a long time since he had traveled anywhere. Taking up residence in a small village near ocean, he didn’t want to travel anymore; every few hundred years he did this. He needed some down time every once in awhile; a chance to breath.

Grabbing hold of his oars, he stuck them in the water, and went back to shore. The shore was only a few miles off and it didn’t take him long to reach the village. While jumping out of the boat, a few men came up to him; they were ready to buy some fresh fish. “Here ya go.” Wilhelm said as he traded with the men. “How’s the kids, Ed?” He asked as he one of the men paid him. “They’re doing great. Keep saying they want to ride the wolf again.” The villager, Ed, said with a laugh. “Ha! Maybe!” Wilhelm smiled with a wave as the men walked away. He had gotten to know the people of the village, even the children. Telling stories of the places he traveled to the children was the best time he ever had. He also let them ride on him in his wolf form one time.

Recalling the fun times with the children made the wolf smile. He knew he would have to leave sometime. He couldn’t stay in one place for too long. With a sigh, he pushed the thoughts from his mind and tied up his boat. The sun was setting and it was time to eat.

It wasn’t long till he reached his hut, made dinner for himself with a few fish he kept, then went to sleep.

The bright morning sun shone brightly as it hit his open windows. That wasn’t the only thing that was bright. Fire seemed to erupt above him, making the wolf jump and roll out of bed. “Holy shit what the hell was that!” He cursed as he dusted himself off from the ashes on his sleepwear. Coughing from the small amount of smoke, he slowly creeped up to look on top of his bed. His eyes appeared just above the cot. A piece of parchment laid smoking on his bed. “A letter?” He said as he grabbed it.

As the wolf read the parchment, his eyes widened. “I HAVE A SISTER!” He yelled happily. “And an uncle.” He smiled wide. He couldn’t believe what was happening. Wilhelm knew it was finally time to leave the village.

By mid day, the wolf was packed and ready to go. After his farewells, he jumped onto his horse. He had family and didn’t want to waste any time. With a click of his tongue and soft kick to the horse, he road off towards Arri.

With a knock on the door, Clyde went to answer. It had only been a few days since he had sent the letter to Katerina. He hadn’t heard anything back. While he waited he asked the servants to look up his nephew, Wilhelm. He had heard rumors about his death and wanted to know for sure. “We found him.” The man handed him a note then left. Closing the door, Clyde opened the parchment. He stared wide eyed at where he was. “Highlands?” He said the word aloud. He had been hiding amongst the people.

That was when he quickly got some parchment and ink and started to write quickly.

Dear Wilhelm,
I have thought you were dead all this time.
I am sorry I didn’t look for you harder.

Please come to Arri. Your sister, Katerina.
Will be here soon. I know you haven’t met her yet.
But she is alive and well. She doesn’t know of you.
I think it is time for us all to meet. We are family after all.

Your Uncle,
Clyde

Holding out his hand, he sent the letter the same way he did before. Hopefully he would get this note. They needed to meet. Especially, Katerina and Wilhelm. “I can’t believe you're alive.” He said with a sigh. His family was alive, and they would soon meet. Before he walked out the door, a note appeared before him. “We will be there in a few days. K.” He read the words out loud and a smile cross his face. Katerina was coming, and he hoped her brother would too. He had too, how could he say no to meeting his sister. Then he re read the letter. “We? Who is We?” He asked aloud to himself. Maybe she had a husband? Children? He couldn’t wait to see. He left the room to join Lily down stairs.

He then remembered, the date was set. They would soon be married. He couldn’t wait for that either.

Katerina sat down in front of the pile of blood that was from her soon to be husband. Well, now dead husband. He was going to leave the guild of Assassins he was in. She knew how dangerous it would be. She told him over and over, but he wanted to do the right thing.  “He was a good man.” She thought as she stood from the chair. She picked up her bag, she usually only carried around what she could carry. Her eyes looked around the room. She had called this place home for a little over two years. Finally resting to raise her child without moving around so much. Now it was time to say goodbye.

Before she could take one step away from the chair, something appeared before her. It floated down from above her and into her outstretched hand. She dropped her bag onto the ground and opened the letter. A gasp left her lips. Her Uncle was alive. Alive and wanting to see her. Tears filled her eyes as her free hand laid over her stomach. She needed to see him. She thought he was dead all these years.

Folding up the letter, she shoved it into her pocket, picked up her bag and headed out of the house. Walking out, she saw Kiyomi with a frown on her face standing next to her white horse. “Mother, Where we headed?” She asked as she jumped onto the back of the horse, name Storm. “Arri.” Katerina tied her bag onto Athena’s back. A pure black horse with wavy hair. “You haven’t ever been there. Somewhere new?” Athena neighed at her rider. “Were going to visit family.” Katerina said sitting down on the saddle. “Mom? Family?” Kiyomi wondered, her mother always said that she didn’t have anyone else but her and Eden. “I’ll tell you on the way. Let’s go.” The wolf demon clicked her tongue and the road down the path out of the forest. Leaving that house and the grave next to it. The man she once loved now laid six feet into the earth. His ever lasting resting place.

Howls erupted behind them along with a roar of a tiger and lion. Katerina and Kiyomi’s companions followed close behind.

Clyde sighed, as he paced around the room. He had put this off for far too long. A sigh left his lips as he stared out the window of the manor. His soon to be wife was the queen of Arri. They haven’t really talked about what happened after. Was he going to be king? Or would he take up his last title, Prince Clyde. Bringing his eyebrows together, he didn’t want to think of such things. He had his niece to worry about. She was the second to be born in the Vladimir family. He only met her once before, when she was a child. When he roamed these lands. Would she remember him?

Memories flooded through his mind of the day his sister was put to death. He searched for Katerina, but never found a trace of her. Now with his newer power of mage magic. He was able just think of someone’s name and send them a parchment.  With everything that happened with his daughter and then Angelique, he didn’t have time to see her or find her. Trying to find his daughter and Katerina would've taken a toll on the elemental.

Holding the paper before he he stared down at his scripted writing.

Dearest Katerina,
I have searched for you for so long. I wish I could of found you
When your mother and father died. Now with this new found gift,
I am able to send this letter to you wherever you are.
I live in Arri now. In the manor of the Yellow Queen.

I don’t think you will remember me. You were just a young child
When we met. I wish we were able to spend more time together.

Please come see me, I need to see you. It’s time for you to know

you have family.

Your Uncle,
Clyde.

Folding up the letter, he held it in his hand. Her name was the only thing he thought of before the parchment burned in his hand and disappeared.

“Hopefully this letter finds you, Katerina Silverstein.” He said aloud as he looked out the window.
