Lily laughed a bit as she pulled Clyde close. “If you are going to live here… there isn’t going to be many moments when we’re alone.” It was something she had come to accept and maybe eventually he would as well. There were just too many people who came in and out of the house for them to be completely alone.
She snuggled closely to him and kissed his cheek. “You know… You would do the same if it was Nymph or Rowan. That is what good lovers do. They acknowledge each others’ families no matter what.” She kissed his shoulder. Once they were asleep it melted away.
The next day they did whatever they could with each other. Clyde apologized to Nymphaea who gave him a blank stare. “I really honestly… don’t care. You do you and I’ll do me… and I’ll just ignore loud moaning into the night. Yaeger talks louder than you both do anyways.” She tapped the blade and offered Clyde a smile. “Don’t hold back on my account.”
The sword spoke up, “I heard that you little brat.” Nymph shot the sword a look but Yaeger was laughing as she slammed the sheath up so no one could hear him anymore. After that, she was on her way.
Lily finished showing him all of Arri that day. Their activities turned towards the night and they tried to make up for everything that they would miss while they were gone. In the morning Lily dressed and followed him quietly down the stairs. “Be safe Clyde. Don’t forget to come back and make sure Angelique finds her way peacefully.” She rubbed his shoulders and kissed him gently.
“And you… be safe and make sure your father stays in one piece. I kind of like him that way.” Lily came over and gave Angelique a quick hug and kissed her forehead. “You stay sane alright? The world is dark and full of many terrible things. I don’t want you to lose your way again. If you ever need anything just write or come here and I’ll help you.”
Lily didn’t know what to say to Ana as she looked over but she offered the woman a smile. “Keep them both safe. Gods know they both need a foot in the ass probably.” She offered these words to Ana before seeing them off. She waved her hand though Ana didn’t seem to be moving.
"Danger is before you if you choose to be with him. Maybe even death." Ana's words did not shake Lily. It just made her smile. However before she could tell her that Lily could, in fact, take care of herself, Ana had begun to catch up with Clyde and Angelique.
"Mom does she know that your oath isn't really necessary anymore?" Nymph was behind her leaning in the door arch. "Not that I would let anything happen to you anyways."
"I think that's why she walked away. She didn't want to hear my answer. Let's just assume she knows."
"Oh.. well I like them. I think I'll let them stay." Nymph gave her mother a smile.
"As if you had a choice," Lily chuckled and hugged her daughter close as they watched the group get more distant.

Lily was quite the master at making him feel great. Every motion, every kiss. It was all amazing to the elemental. Their moans filled the room and their bodies heated up. His hands didn’t leave her skin and kept gliding up and down. She was the most beautiful being he had ever scene. No matter how many times he saw her, he always thought she was beautiful. The glow of her skin and hair maximized it. After they finished, he pulled her into his arms. He snuggled her close and kissed her head. He thought about her words before. She was such an understanding woman. His thoughts were froze when she mentioned that Nymp was in the house. They were rather loud. “Wh–at?” He sat up to look down at Lily. “You're kidding me!?” He was a bit stroke by this. He wasn’t one to have his sex life to be heard or talked about. A sigh left his lips as he laid back down on the bed. His eyes on the ceiling. “I will apologize tomorrow.” No matter what she said, he was going to. Pulling her back into his arms, he snuggled her close once more. “Thank you for being so understanding about my daughter.” He said into her hair. The shock from before cleared away and all he talked about Angelique. Clyde didn’t want to speak about anything else, he wanted to enjoy that moment. In the silence, he soon fell asleep. The long day taking its toll on him. His soft breaths filling the silence around them.

Lily squealed as he picked her up. She certainly wasn’t use to things like that. She gave a smile and a laugh as he carried her to her room. She flailed a bit in the air as he tossed her and she laughed with him. Kissing him back she shook her head as if she couldn’t get enough of him. She was barely recovered from her laughing fit as he kissed down her. This was all the attention she would ever need, she was convinced.
She looked rather disappointed as he stopped but soon that look was replaced with one of understanding. She pushed herself up on her elbows. “Love, she is your child. I wouldn’t think a woman in my position should even think about coming in between that. She was there first.” She smiled at him and turned her face so she could kiss his palm. “You do what you have to and then get your ass back here as soon as you can. I would want the same of you for Rowan or Nymph.” They were two adults and they didn’t have to dominate each other’s lives especially when there were children involved, no matter the age of said children.
Taking the very subtle hint that she was to be the one to lead she was actually graceful and fast at how she accomplished not only undressing them both but flipped him on the bed. Deciding it was high time he saw just what he was getting into he would learn everything that she knew, and what she knew was a lot.
After their time she settled for laying on his chest and pulling the blankets up around them. “Hopefully Nymphaea doesn’t have a fit about the noise. She is home now.” She chuckled as she thought about what her youngest would do in this situation. She imagined her with cotton stuffed in her ears. “You spend all that time with Angelique that you can get. You hear me? I’ll be here waiting.” She offered up a smile.

As he walked up the stares, he spotted her with blankets and such for him. He smiled over to her and laughed a bit at her joke. “If you will have me.” He said but knew her answer. In just a few steps he was next to her. He laughed a bit as he picked her up into his arms, including the blankets. He kissed her cheek before he carried her into the room. Using his foot to close the door behind him. Reaching the bed he tossed her onto it. With a laugh he pushed the blankets off of her, climbed on top of her and kissed her lips. He brought his hand up to cup her cheek as they kissed. He loved the taste of her, her smell, her touch. Pulling away, he kissed down her neck, his hand traveled slowly down to the space between her legs. It was like he couldn’t get enough of her. He did promise her to finish what he started before he left. Stopping, he pulled away. He needed to tell her that he would be gone for a week or so. He didn’t want to drop that after they had there fun with each other and her getting pissed off. Removing his hand, he put his hands on either side of her face to hold himself up over her. “Angelique will be asleep for a day or so. She asked me to join her when she travels to Adeluna. I told her I would go. We need some time together.” He needed to inform her just in case she didn’t want him to leave. If she was understanding, he would let her take the lead this round before bed.

Lily gave him a soft smile. “Ana reminds me a lot of Toya. Toya loves with all her heart but she is too rigid to actually show it. I understand Ana and I know she is just looking out for you.” She gave him a light kiss back. She put her forehead into his before he told her that he was going to check on Angelique. She put her arms up as he slipped the shirt off and she chuckled. “You better make that a promise.”
Dressing herself she went downstairs and prepped a bath for Nymphaea. She would be home soon with everyone else now that Angelique was all settled down. The holy water steamed as she poured it into the large pool. She did a few odd things around the house before she went back up to her room. She changed back into her nightgown and sat down on the bed with a book.
She had cleared all of the food as well and set up the bottle of wine and glasses by the side of the bed. It was nice to have someone come back home to her. She set up the bed for two people instead of just her. It took getting extra blankets and pillows down just for him. She was carrying them back into the room when he came up the stairs. She offered him a smile. “You’ll be staying in my room right? I mean… you wouldn’t actually sleep by yourself after this?” She teased him as she went back into the room and tossed the stuff gently onto the bed.

As Clyde thought about his past, he was always one to protect his sisters. Even when they gained their powers, he still protected then. That was what an older brother does. He smiled a bit as Ana came into his mind. Now she was trying to protect him and everyone else around them. Namely, Lily. He pushed the chair out a bit so she could sit onto his lap. She fed him a piece of bread, he gladly ate. He did wonder about them. He wanted to be together with her but there was a danger in it. Maybe that was why he wanted her so much. Danger always made everything exciting. But there was other things that was great about her. The elemental put his arm around her and took another bite of bread. “I can handle sassy. Ana has been in my life.” He joked. His sister has always been stubborn, sassy, but poleit. She knew when there were times to just keep her mouth shut, but sometimes she didn’t care because it needed to be said. “Nymph will one day become like Ana.” He paused as he thought of his sister. “Ana was the same at her age. She always did what she wanted and spoke her mind. Ha. The girl would always tell everyone that they couldn’t tell her what to do. Then after she grew up, she changed. She was a polite young woman, but there are times where she still shares her thoughts.” Putting both his arms around Lily’s waist he started up into her eyes. “Don’t take her unwanting us to be together get to get to you. She is very protective of me and doesn’t want me to get a broken heart again. She was there before…” He paused. She could be very kind when she wanted. “She just need time to accept that we care for one another and it’s different this time.” He held back the other reason why his sister didn’t want him to be with Lily. He leaned up to kiss her. It was short and sweet. Standing up made Lily stand, taking her into his arms he leaned down to kiss her again. Pulling away, he needed to check on his daughter. “I will be right back, going to check on them.” Kissing her again, he pulled off his shirt, his tailing kissing down her shoulder. “Mmm. We will finish this later.” He smirked as he put his shirt on along with his other clothes. “I won’t be long.” He said as he gave her a quick kiss and left.Clyde hurried to the castle and to the room his sister and angelique was in. He knocked softly. His sister was quick to open the door. “How is she?” He asked in a whisper as he walked in, his sister closing the door behind him. Angelique was sitting on the bed looking out the window. “Cleaned. But I think she needs to speak with you… I’ll leave you two alone.” She gabbed her coat and left. The elemental nodded to his sister and headed towards the bed. His feet moved slow, not to startle his daughter. He stood at the foot of the bed as his eyes looked over her red ringed eyes. “You are my father.” She was the first to speak as she continued not to look at him. “It was hard to process before. The only father I knew beat me. And I knew who you were when I was a child. You were sweet, caring and never wanted to hurt me. When you left. It hurt. I missed you. Then mother died and he started to beat me. I wished you would come and save me. But instead Nikolaus did. He became my new father, but a father who didn’t really care. I forgot about you for a long time. Then you come back.” She paused as she looked over to him. “You were the father I always wished for. The father every child deserves.” Standing up, she went to him and fell into his arms. Clyde heart broke with every word. She wanted him to be her father and he would accept this. His arms circled her and held her. His lips kissed her head and his fingers comb through her hair. It was like she was a child again. Pulling away, she looked up at him. “I sent a message to Nikolaus. He is at Adeluna. Reaver is there somewhere. He has been looking for me.” She paused as her arms dropped. “Can you travel with me to find him?” She asked averting her eyes. She wasn’t one to ask for anything. “Yes, we need some time together I think.” He replied. He knew Lily would understand. He would always come back. “After we find Nik. You can come back here.. To Lily. I think one day she will be my mom. I am okay with that. ” Angelique smiled up at him. She saw how much she cared. “Don’t let her get away.” With another hug, she told him to leave. They would travel the day after tomorrow. She needed to sleep. Her body needed it. Like a child, he tucked her into bed and kissed her head. Saying goodbye he left. Ana wasn’t anywhere to be seen so he went back to Lily. As he entered, he hung up his coat and headed upstairs to her room. Hoping she would be awake for him to tell her the plans. His mind thinking of Angelique and her words. Don't let her get away.

She sipped on the wine and gave a smile. “Angela made all the wine down in the cellar for me. It’s been down there for a good hundred years. I’ve been rather patient about opening my bottles. Can’t say my other sisters have been.” She said with a laugh. “Her wine is always… well, just right I think.”
She held his hand and gave a warm smile. “I worry about all of us, to be honest. Ang has kept us safe for a long time. We’ll have to be on our toes and make up for her not being here if something happens.” As rough as it was for her to think about it, Lily knew that Arri needed them to think about it at that moment. That even if Toya was sticking her nose up at Ang that it was only because Toya didn’t know how to show her love.
The kiss to her skin almost snapped her out of her stump as she sighed happily. “Sounds like fun. My sisters and I are very varied in age. I only played with the town kids.” She gave a smile. “But Ang and Cathrine were always there to protect us. Especially Ang once she became a god.” She chuckled a bit and kissed his hands. “You cook very well. I think you got me on skill level there.” She chuckled a bit.
Lily pushed up out of the chair and came over to his side. She nimbly pushed him out, without over exerting herself, and sat down on her lap. Taking a piece of bread she tore and held it up for him to eat. “I’m still curious what we’re going to do now. I mean I’m not sure you want to be stuck with a sixteen-year-old know it all half demon.” She gave a smile as she moved to her own little problems. “She is quite sassy.”

When Clyde looked over to her from across the table, he couldn’t help but smile at her. This was a good day, a long one but a great one. It was ending on a high note, and he didn’t want this to stop. When Lily wanted to toast, he laughed a bit as he held up his cup and brought it to hers. After they hit softly, he brought it to his lips and sipped the wine. It was splendid wine. The best he had ever taste. “Very good.” He said about the wine and more about the day.Lily’s next words confused him a bit. Then Ana came to his mind. She was acting rather annoying when it came to Lily, but she did have her reasons. It wasn’t until she mentioned Angela, her sister he finally understood what she was saying. He didn’t know what really was going on with the gods, but you could tell by the chains in the sky, something was going on. As she continued to speak of her sister, he set down his spoon and listened. He frowned a bit. Her sister didn’t sound good at all.Clyde sighed, she was going through so much. Reaching over the table, he touched her hand and held it. “Everything will turn out alright.” He hoped with all his heart his words would come true. “If not, then I will be here for you. You don’t need to protect everyone all the time. I am here now.” He gave a soft smile to her and brought her hand up to his lips to kiss her skin. She wanted him to change the topic and speak of something else. He wasn’t sure what to talk about then his homeland came to mind. “My homeland is much different than yours.” He paused letting the image come to his mind. “The land is rich with flowers. Mostly wildflowers, the air is almost cool.” He smiled. “My sisters and I would run through those flowers all day. “ He paused thinking of those times. “One time I had to save them from a snake.” A laugh came out of him. “They didn’t have their powers yet. I was just started to use mine. At the last second I blew a fire ball at its face. Damn thing almost bit off my hand.” He laughed. It was great thinking of old times.

Lily smiled at him and gently cupped his face before they kissed again. “I may not be as old as you are but I certainly know the feeling. I will gladly only be yours and accept your heart.” She leaned in and rubbed her nose against his before he could escape far enough so she could not reach. A steady smile was on her lips as she heard his words. “I’ve always been in the desert Love. You’ve just never had a reason to visit before.”
At the thought of her being amazing, Lily just chuckled. “I am just the woman I was raised to be Clyde. I’m not anything more or less.” The last thing she was going to be was a liar. She chuckled and let out a disappointed sound as he moved her off of him. “Fine,” she said jokingly as she kissed him back. At his request, she donned his shirt and pulled her blonde curls up onto the crown of her head. She tied them in place and waited for him to come back.
She waited for him and she eagerly got up and sat down when he pulled out her chair. “Thank you, Love.” She ate with just as much vigor as he did. She hadn’t eaten either. “This is splendid love.” She gave him a smile and chuckled a bit. “Today is a good day. We have much to celebrate.” She took the cup of wine and held it over to him so they could toast this great day.
After their toast, she drank down the wine and laughed a bit. “Maybe now we can sit down and finally figure out this annoying sister thing.” She toyed with the idea in her head. “Won’t be until Ang has time to breath, unfortunately.” She frowned a bit at Clyde. “She didn’t sound well when I talked to her. I was late coming to you today because Dalanesca is attacking her. I just wanted to make sure she was alright and… she doesn’t look it. She smiles and says she is but… Her skin is so sickly right now.” Lily seemed sad.
“My sisters may fight and they might not get along most of the time but we would be the first ones who go defend the other if we could… but we can’t with Ang. Not one of us is strong enough to even make a dent in Dalanesca’s defenses. She’s made arrangements in case she dies for one of her children to go through the trial so Arri isn’t without a ruler. I don’t know which one she named.” Why could a goddess die? Why did it have to be her sister?
Lily tried to cheer up and she smiled at him. “I can’t do anything. She told me just to be with you and enjoy you and not worry about her troubles. It sounds like so much more than a trouble to me.” Her hand shook a little bit as she forced herself to put down the spoon. “All I can do is protect Nymphaea and Rowan… maybe you as well.” She took a deep breath and looked out the window. Taking a slice of breath she nibbled on it and thought more.
“Can you take my mind off of that? I mean there has to be something we can talk about… I don’t want to dwell on a situation I can’t change when I have you right in front of me.” It was clear that it bothered her but it was also true she couldn’t do anything about it.

Her words had warmed his heart. Clyde couldn’t wipe the grin off his face. He was in love again, but this was nothing like his first love. It was welcomed not fought against. He let her pull the blankets over them and pulled her into his arms. He kissed her head and held her close against him. This moment was the best. If someone decided to disturb them, he would kill them instantly. Maybe. If it was his sister he would definitely throw her out on her ass. Feeling her fingers against his, he laced his fingers with hers. She commented on his happiness and he smiled again. “Thank you, and you are part of why I am happy as well.” He kissed her head again as she spoke again. This time with a question that he hadn’t really thought about. He had been acting on whim since the first time he met her. He was always one to plan out his day. When she entered his life, he wasn’t planning anything out, just moving along with the moments that passed him. “I have walked this earth for over a thousand years. I have only loved once before, and it effected my whole life. It was a love that shouldn’t have been. Now that I have met you. Falling in love with you was unexpected. “ He paused as he brought them up to a sitting position. “I am letting go of her now and I choose you. I choose to love only you…and be with only you.” He pulled her onto his lap, her legs on either side of him and kissed her. His arms circled her back. Her hair tickling his fingertips. The elemental pulled away and leaned his head against her head. He closed his eyes and treasured this moment with her. They probably wouldn’t have many with his sister around. “I can’t beleive i didn’t meet you until now.” He whispered as he pulled away to look into her eyes. “You are an amazing woman, Lily.” He kissed her lips once more then pulled her into his arms just to hold her. In that moment of silence, he heard his stomach growl. His eyes made it to the window and sighed. It was night already and he hadn’t ate all day. “Stay here, I am going to make us dinner.” Pulling her off him, he kissed her softly before he climbed out of bed. He didn’t bother putting anything on but his pants. They were the only ones there after all. “You can wear my shirt.” He said with a smirk before he headed down to the kitchen.Looking around at the food he could prepare. She didn’t seem like a meat person. Pulling out some carrots, onion, celery out if a tray on the countertop, he chopped them up and threw them into the put with some water. Next was the chicken that seemed to have been left out for them, already skinned and ready to go. Chopping up the chicken he threw it into the pot as well with some herbs. One thing he knew how to do perfectly was cook. He loved it, cooking seemed like a meditation act for Clyde. Grabbing some cilantro leaves, he threw them into the pot as well. He let that cook as he grabbed a loaf of bread and sliced it. Next was the bowls, it took him a minute to find them and when he did he put some soup into them and laid them onto a tray along with a plate of bread. The last to go on the tray was their cups of wine. He smiled. She would love this, he hopped. Clyde made his way back to her room he put the tray onto the small table and pulled out a chair for her to sit down. He smiled when he saw her, after she took her seat, he sat across from her and began to eat. He was starving, but still ate with manners. No elbows on the table, no slurping, and sitting up straight. The learning from his past with his royal family still was carved into him.

Lily gave him a loving smile. “And I you.” It was a soft tone that left her lips as he pulled her in. She let out a surprised gasp but laughed as they kissed. She understood his desires and for once it was nice to have a man who loved her touch her. At least she thought that’s what this was. She was pretty sure, her mind tried to cloud but she pushed it away.
She was quite pleased with his strength as he managed to pull her up. Of course, she went willing with him as he dried her off the best she could. There was no point in putting her hair up now that it was soaked but he didn’t really give her time to react as he picked her up. A laugh left her lips as she wrapped herself around him. This was some of the most fun she had in years.
She wasn’t even sure if she had managed to get clean by the end of it all. She chuckled as her wild blonde curls were strung out and wet. There was still much movement as he appeared to be restless on the bed. She was shocked he had enough energy left as she laid there exhausted and rather happy. Her green eyes watched his blues as she thought about everything. She chuckled as he pushed the hair behind her ear. Their kiss slow and sweet, she liked it that way the most she had to admit.
His words made her blush, and for some reason, she didn’t understand why, but a smile came to her face. “I love you, Clyde.” She brought her hand up and gently rubbed his face. Reaching over she pulled the blankets back up onto the bed and covered them up as she flipped him back over. She rested her head on his shoulder after a quick kiss.
“It’s been a long day but I am so happy for you. I’m so glad that Angelique is back and I am glad that you are happy.” Her hand found him and her fingers entangled so easily with his as well. She supposed that there was a question now lingering in her mind that she wanted to ask him. “What will you do now?” Just because they said they loved each other didn’t mean the road would be any less bumpy for either of them. If they stayed together there would need to be a plan, a story, something that would make sense.

Clyde nodded at Lily’s words. If it was her family, he would help no matter what. He was shortly realizing that he would do anything for this woman. He went with her without any hesitation. As they made their way to the manor. His mind started to think of his feelings for her. Now that he had let go and let everything in the past slip away, he wasn’t afraid anymore. He wasn’t afraid to be with someone. To share thoughts and feelings with. Could it be?The elemental’s thoughts were pushed away as they made it to the manor. They were soon in the washroom and Lily started to undress him. As soon as, he was undressed he stepped into the warm water. A sigh left his lips as he laid back into the water. The warmth of the water seeped into his muscles. His aches and pains soon faded as well as the smell of sweat. He let her wash him and slowly grew excited. The feel of her lips was too much for him to bare. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself. “All I need is you.” He said in a husky voice as his desire took over. Pulling her into the water with a laugh, he kissed her lips. Being without a woman’s touch for so many years sometimes get to a man. Bringing his lips to her neck, he kissed her skin that soon became naked as he slid her dress off her shoulders. Occasionally he would glide his teeth over her skin. Soon the damp clothes were thrown out of the bath. They took each other to another realm as they made love. Nothing else matter, no previous loves, nothing that was going on in the world around them. It was just them. His heart warmed at the thought of them being together with this woman in his arms. As they finished, he pulled them out of the bath. He dried her and then himself. As soon as he finish drying himself, he picked her up into his arms. Her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her into the bedroom. His lips locked with her’s then her jaw. They collapsed on the bed. The covers lost their perfection as they made love. When his lips weren’t kissing her skin, his eyes were locked with hers. Rolling over onto his back, his breath came in quick gasps. Now he was sweaty again, but this time for a good reason. Pulling her into his arms, he kissed her head. He was so happy in this moment. So happy that she was with him and the woman she was. Pulling away, he rolled over onto his side to look into her eyes. He brought his hand up to move a loose strand of hair behind her ear. This time when he kissed her, it was sweet and slow. As he pulled away, he looked at her. He knew what he was feeling in that moment and didn’t want to miss another moment like this. “I love you, Lily.”

Lily’s smile was warm as she looked at Angelique. “Child, if I thought that was really you who said those things to me I wouldn’t have been here to help.” That was true when she looked back on Yaeger, he hadn’t always been a dark heart. He had been a father scared of losing his child to someone else.
Her green eyes looked up at Ana. “In the lower part of my manor is a nice wash that we use for Nymph when she needs her baths. It’s large and comfortable. You can find some of Nymphaea’s clothes may fit. There should be extras in there as well.”
She was quite off guard by his kiss and she chuckled as she kissed him back. “I know that if it had been Nymph you would have done the same thing.” She brought her hand up to face as she chuckled. “I would always come to your side. I would not lose someone that I am so fond of.” She kissed him back yet again and held him.
After a bit, she chuckled and looked at how the blood had come onto her clothes as well from rubbing up on him. “I agree.” She nodded and took his arm. She cuddled close to him as they walked back to the manor. Up in her room, she opened the washroom door and the bath was already there waiting. The heat poured out and she smiled up at Clyde. “Come on now,” she shooed him into the bath and helped him undress so he could get down into the warm tub. “That has to feel good on your muscles after things like that.” She ran the water over his shoulders and kissed his neck gently.
“I have soaps and oils nearby too if you wish to use them.”

Clyde wasn’t sure if it was all the holy water poured on her, or if it was because of Lily. She used her holy power on Angelique. Could that have broke her barrier as well? Clyde didn’t understand what had happened, but in that moment he didn’t care. His Angelique was back. Holding her in his arms, she cried out everything she had been holding in for the past few hundred years. Her cheeks had trails of blood running down her face. Her hair a damp matted mess from the constant water. As her tears fell, he didn’t care that they were staining his shirt red with blood. She needed him, needed him to hold her. His little girl didn’t pull away or even curse at him. Hearing the voice of the Queen, Angelique pulled away from her father to look at Lily. As she spoke, her eyes looked at her as Lily knelt down before her. As the queen reached out towards her, she moved back for a moment but let Lily move her hair behind her ear. After she finished, Angelique frowned. “I am sorry.” Angelique apologised. She wasn’t one to say such cruel things. “I didn’t mean anything I said or did. I wasn’t in my right mind…” She said as her hand still gripped Clyde’s arm. He was grounding her. Clyde arm held onto hers, as she gripped his forearm. As he stood he pulled her up with him. Anastasia came up to them with a sympathetic look. “Lets go get you cleaned up.” She held out her hand for Angelique to take. The vampire looked at Clyde for a moment before hugging him tightly. “Thank you.” She said as she let her arms drop from him, then went with Angelique. As soon as they left the cell, Clyde turned to Lily. He didn’t hesitate to rush to kiss her. His lips connected with hers in a sweaty passionate kiss. He was thankful for her. “Thank you for helping me get my daughter back.” He said as he released her from the kiss. His eyes opened to look into her beautiful rose eyes. “If you didn’t come here then I don’t know if I could of got her back at all… Thank you.” He finished his words with a kiss. Wrapping her up into his arms, he kissed her long and sweetly. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him. Along with Angelique of course. Pulling away, the elemental looked down at his suit. It was stained in blood, and he smelt of sweat. “I think I need to get cleaned up.” He paused for a moment and smiled at her. “Would you like to join me?” He didn't want to just have sex with her. It was more than that, if they didn't that was okay with him. He wanted her close. He needed her after the exhausting day that he just had.

Lily looked over her shoulder for a second with a stoic look. Her green eyes bore into Angelique’s as hard as they could. “To be frank my dear. I don’t really give a damn.” It wasn’t that she was trying to be heartless. It was that Lily understood Clyde. Yaeger was her Margrett. The death of their beloveds would never go away and they would have to cope with it.
When they smiled Lily hadn’t forgotten about Angelique in the room. If anything she was more aware of the girl than ever before and if she was offensive that would have been dangerous. The wall shot up with a small chant and what a fast chant it had been. It was more like the words had waterfalled out of her mouth as the wall bounced the child back.
“Told you, Clyde, if I know it’s coming no one can get past me.” It was why it took an assassin to kill Lily. It was why she needed an escort home. Her powers were manifesting themselves in a strong way and it even made the holy water she had made crackle at the feel of her aura.
Once the crying started Lily gave a sad smile. She knew she had to let go of Yaeger too. If anything it would hurt more so if they all didn’t move on from their sorrow. She moved over to them and she knelt by Angelique, her smile was soft. “I don’t care that your father loves your mother because I lost someone too. My daughter’s father.” She reached out and she hesitated for a moment as she pushed Angelique’s hair back and tucked it behind her ear. “Call it a mutual understanding.”
Maybe they weren’t the right words but Lily’s heart was in it. “To love is to memorialize that person. You’ll never stop loving them. Not once but to move on doesn’t mean you have to forget that person. I know with a deepness that Clyde has never once forgotten your mother. I could tell from the moment we met. That’s a special kind of love Angelique.”

“What would mommy thing of you now? F**king another woman? Tsk tsk.” That comment made another water of holy water go over her head. Steam rose up from her body as she let out a scream. “What would your mother think of you? How many lives did you have to take. Margrett would not—” As Clyde started to speak, her saw her eyes glow. “Don’t you dare speak of mother!” Angelique spat out at Clyde. If the hunger wasn’t getting to her, she would of tried to kill him in that moment. Clyde didn’t stop at Angelique's comments, he kept trying to rise emotions out of her. Right now was only anger and they could work with that. Hour’s had passed before he saw Lily again, the sun was about to set. She was bring in more holy water for them to use. A smile came to his lips as he saw her. “Oh look, the woman who took pity on a man who is still in love with my mother.” Angelique paused as a smirk came to her lips. “Did he tell you he still loves a dead woman? You couldn’t even compete with someone like her. He will never. Love. You.” Angelique words were meant to hurt the woman before her. She was damn sure it was the truth. “Tell her…Daddy. How you still love mother. How no matter how much she opens her legs, you will never lo–” The rest of the water that was in his bucket was thrown over the vampire again. A hiss came from her mouth as she stared at Clyde. Clyde soon looked away from her to look Lily. He didn’t want to not acknowledge her presence. Seeing her smile made him smile at her as well. Seeing that smile they shared, Angelique knew that Clyde was in love with her. Anger rose within her as she broke the shackles off with the last bit of her strength and went towards Lily. Her teeth bared and a growl erupting from her throat. The elemental didn’t wait a second to jump between the vampire and Lily. Instead of Clyde saving Lily, she stopped Angelique. The holy wall of some sort sent Angelique flying into the wall behind her. His eyes widen at the skill of Lily. He looked over his shoulder to see her. “Wow.” Was all he said as he rushed over to Angelique’s side. More to restrain her again. Ana had one arm and he had another. “Angelique. You have people who love and care for you here.” Pulling her chin up, he locked eyes with his daughter. “Yes, I love your mother. I will never stop loving her. But she is gone and it is time to move on. Angelique. It is time to move on and feel your heart again no matter how much it hurts. I love you. I never wanted to leave you. I had to, to keep your mother safe and I am sorry I couldn’t save her. You are here and alive. Live your life. Move on. With Reaver.” He brought up his names and the vampire’s eyes flashed. Clyde knew of the man she cared about. If only he could of found him to bring her back sooner. Instead of Angelique saying something smart. Bloody tears fell down her cheeks. “Mom…Mom loved you so much.” Ana let her hands go of Angelique’s arms. “Yes.” Clyde said as he brought his hand to her cheek. “Let. Her. Go. Angelique…” His eyes were kind as he looked into her eyes. Tears filling his eyes wanting to fall. Angelique bersted into tears as she leaned against his chest. Rubbing the back of her head, he soothed her. “It’s time to let go.” He didn’t know if he was saying that to himself or to his daughter. All he knew was, they both had to let go her.

Lily chuckled as she bit into the fruit. Looking down in at his shirt she just gave him a smile. “I think I do too.” She was about to roll them over as they kissed when Ana had other ideas. She let out a sigh that could only mean that she was partially annoyed. “Your sister has the best timing ever.” She let his body have a ton of light-loving touches as she teased him.
“Do you really? It is keeping me nice and warm.” She teased as he took it away from her with a kiss. She leaned into his mouth as he whispered in her ear and she let out a chuckle. “You better come back this time. We have unfinished business now.” She gave him one more kiss before he left. She dressed herself in his old green jacket and hung out at the window as she waved to him. She wondered if he would notice.
After a while, she got dressed in something she didn’t mind getting ruined. She would be helping Clyde today with his daughter. They would have holy water but they wouldn’t have enough. “Rowan, would you help me with this? I would ask Nymphaea but she would be too eager to end up under a spell.” They took a large tub and began to roll it down the dungeon’s steps. Lily let herself into the cell without any words as she ordered the tub down. “Bring the buckets that are upstairs down here and empty them into the pool.”
Turning her head to the situation Lily didn’t smile but she merely pulled her sleeves up. “Holy water will probably be needed a lot more than you brought. Fresh is best. The wards on the water are still there for a few hours.” After Rowan had emptied all of the water into the tub she knelt on the ground and threw her arms into the water. There were light chanting and the room glowed with an awesome holy light.
There were holy runes appearing on the tub around it and before long the light was gone. The water was so clear that it was almost like a mirror. It sparked with an amazing holy power. “It’s strongest now. If you need more I can make it. I wanted to help, it’s the least I can do.” She directed it towards Clyde as she offered up a small smile. She couldn’t do much but this she could do better than anyone in Arri.

Lily didn’t deny his touch which made him want her more. The night they spent together was an amazing one. All that desire they kept hidden was set forth in one kiss they shared in the bazaar. As they made love, he couldn’t keep his eyes off hers. The feelings that arose within him was nothing he had felt before. He didn’t deny it any longer. He cared for her. He wasn’t sure if it was love, but he did care. As her wrapped her in his arms, they soon fell asleep. His dreams took him where he hadn’t been in a long time. To his past. The field was full of wild flowers as the sun shone high in the sky. His family was there. Even his sister that had passed away. They laughed as they ran through the flowers chasing each other. It was a great dream. Something he hadn’t had in awhile. Clyde felt his body shake, and softly blinked open his eyes. If Lily didn’t talk to him while waking him up, she would of had a knife in her throat. As his eyes came into focus, he smiled at her. “Good Morning.” Sitting up, the blanket soon fell off his legs and only covered his private parts. Seeing the food around them, he was a bit shock he didn’t wake up when she moved. He must of been extremely tired…or comfortable around her?“Thank you.” He said with a smile as he took a sip of tea. Setting it down, he grabbed a strawberry. His favorite fruit. Bringing it to her lips, he let her eat it from his hand. After she bit into the strawberry, he picked up his own and ate one. It was delicious and juicy. Clyde’s eyes finally noticed what she was wearing, his shirt. A smirk came to his lips seeing her. Her cleavage came out in just the right spot. Reaching forward, he rand his fingers along the button line and let his fingertip grazed her skin. “You look really good in my shirt.” He said leaning in as he kissed her. Slowly, he laid the queen on her back and began to kiss her neck. He wanted her and he was going to have her. Now that he was aloud. Suddenly, there was three loud knocks at the door. “CLYDE!!!” His sister’s voice echoed through the house. She was loud. “IT’S TIME. GET OUT HERE!” He sighed as he laid his head onto Lily’s neck. Nuzzling it, he sat up and started to put his clothes on. But he was stopped by the fact she was still wearing his shirt. Walking over to her, he kneeled down. “I need that.” He said with a smirk as he leaned in to kiss her. Unbuttoning the few that were left, he slipped it off her shoulders. His lips trailed the side of her neck and to her shoulders. “I’ll see you later.” He whispered into her ear. The elemental finish dressing and headed out the door. “Took you long enough.” He was greeting by an impatient, arms crossed, Anastasia as she leaned against the wall. “Let’s get going.” Pushing off the wall, she started to walk the path back to the castle. Not caring for how his sister was reacting, he turned around and waved goodbye to Lily. “You are an idiot.” Ana waited until they were out of earshot of the queen. “You are putting her in danger every minute you spend with her—-Stop your damn grinning.” His sister hit him over the head. “Oh. My. Gosh….YOU!! Seriously Clyde. You are a damn idiot.” Realizing what he had done, she slapped him over the head again. “Hey, stop!” Holding his hands up in defence. He chuckled at his sister. “You jealous, I have someone?” Clyde didn’t pay attention to his sister’s words from before. His mind had been on the night he shared with Lily. The moment he said that, Ana stepped in front of him, her eyes narrowed. “You are putting her in danger. We are not the only immortals from are homeland that are still alive. They hunt us, Clyde. Or did you forget this?” His eyes became serious at her words. “That is in our past. I haven’t seen one of them since I came here. They don’t know where we are, Anastasia.”“It will always be with us. One day they will find us.” She paused as she looked at Lily’s house in the distance. “You are too good for her, Clyde. She is an high strong ego—–” Clyde brought his hands up to his sister’s lips to quiet her. “She is a great woman. She is strong, king and the best thing for me. I am happy, Anastasia. We can’t put our life on hold because sometime they will find us. Next time they come, we fight.” With that, Clyde walked around his sister. He was done with that conversation. They walked in silence the rest of the way and until they entered the cell of his daughter. The darkness of the cell cloaked her. “I smell that b***hs c**t all over you.” Angelique didn’t keep her words to herself and she wished she had. Clyde picked up a nearby bucket of holy water and dumped it right over her head. “You feel that pissed about this? Let’s see what else you can feel.” All smile’s were now gone as he spoke to her. Screams echoed through the cells as she was dragged from her spot to be sat and chained to a cell chair. “F**king Jacka**” Angelique coughed out. “Lets begin.” Angelique said with a smile as she splashed more holy water onto the vampire.

Lily wasn’t upset when the manor wasn’t all ready for her. It was quite the opposite actually. She was happy that they were alone and it appeared that Clyde was as well. She chuckled lightly as he moved them through the house to one of her many sitting areas. It was rather romantic when he lit the log and settled the room. Her green eyes watched him with interest as he watched her.
Soon he was in her area and they were kissing again. The look in her eyes was enough to tell him this was perfectly fine with her. He left her only to make the situation more comfortable with the pillows on the ground. He was gentle with her at first and she made sure to let him know that she was not fragile.
She leaned into him and kissed him softly after it was done. Laying soft kisses onto his neck she chuckled and laid her head down on her shoulder. Pulling the extra bit of the blanket she covered them up. There was no reason to even talk anymore as they cuddled on the ground. Sleep came fast and in the morning she woke up before he did.
She managed to wiggle out of his arms and stole his shirt since it was easier to put on. She found herself in the kitchen and made them a quick breakfast. It took several trips to bring all the trays in so she could lay the spread out on the floor. She lit a candle and chuckled as she came over to Clyde and gently shook him. “Wake up Love. You’ll sleep the day away.” She leaned down and kissed him softly. “I made breakfast. It might not be as great as the house help but I still made some. There are some tea and everything.”

Lily tasted sweet as Clyde kissed her passionately. Their kiss was long and everything around them melted away. Clyde didn’t care for the people around them, all he cared for was the kiss he was sharing with one of the Queen’s of Arri. He pulled away to breath, and to look down at Lily. Instead she pulled him down for another kiss. This time he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. He soon pulled away and she poke. He stared down at her with a small smile. He was happy. With a nod at her words, he pulled her close to him as they started to walk out of the crowd. Now the men knew why she had denied their gifts. Making their way through the crowd with her arm looped through his, he spotted his sister, and she didn’t look happy. They were soon engulfed in the crowd. His sister tried to make her way through the falling flowers and the people, but she ended up giving up. She would speak to him at the castle. That must of been where they were going. Taking a different way than them she made her way back to where she would be staying for the night, the castle. Little did his sister know, Clyde and Lily didn’t go to the castle. They turned down a different path to Lily’s home. As they walked, the crowd soon dispersed as people left for their own homes. The sun was setting and it was time for sleep. The night chill made the his feet walk a bit faster then his slow pace. He wasn’t sure what they were going to talk about, the kiss of course, but what was there to say? As they entered the manor it was dark and no one roamed the halls to greet them. They did stop by unexpectedly. They didn’t know the queen was going to be there or the house would be ready. Making his way into the living room area, he threw a few longs into the fireplace. Instead of lighting it with sparks, the elemental held out his hand and fire shot out onto the wood. The fire rose and lit up the dark living room area. Standing from his spot besides the fireplace, he looked over at her, the fire lit up her eyes and made her hair even golden. Her skin seemed to glow as he made his way to her. He didn’t say a word as he leaned down and kissed her. This one was softer, instead of the hard kiss they shared earlier. Running his hands up her arms, he looped his fingers under the straps of her gown. As he kissed her, he moved his lips down the side of her face to her neck. He kissed her softly then stopped for a moment to look into her eyes. He wanted to make sure this was okay. She didn’t say no, so he moved to the couch, he grabbed the blanket that was on the back of the couch onto the ground along with the drape pillows. Moving back to her he kissed her again and moved her before the fireplace where he laid the pillows. Clyde’s lips made their way down her neck and to her shoulder, he slowly moved the strap of her gown off and did the same to the next. Her dress fell off her body. He moved her to the floor as he kissed her. He was gentle with her at first the became more passionate. As they finished, he wrapped her up into his arms.

Lily chuckled a bit at his statement and nodded. “Here in Arri it could be said to be the reverse. If a woman is approached for marriage it is very rare and they do tend to accept it. I just don’t want to marry the first, second, or thirtieth man who asks me to marry him without knowing him.”
Nodding the Yellow Queen looked back on her own parents. “I remember my parents being that way. Slavers are a problem around here for the desert folk. My father, first born male of the family, found my mother dying in the desert from a slave attack. He saved her life and turned her. I don’t think I’ve ever seen love like that since. They died during Adeluna’s attack on Arri. They were protecting the five of us here in the city.”
The woman picked up her cup of tea as soon as it was served and quietly sipped on it. “We never wanted to rule us five. However, my grandmother wanted the city divided up as it was easier to manage that way. We can be children sometimes with each other but we all want to protect Arri no matter how much we want to nitpick. How we pick queens here in Arri is… different. Not just any child can be named heir. The spirits of Arri test the new monarch and if they fail they lose the right to rule. You have to be one with the spirits here in Arri. Angela passed with flying colors as you can imagine. Each court has a different test. A different way for the spirits to test and see if you are good enough.”
She felt silly explaining it to an outsider but she just gave him a smile. “Someday I’ll tell you more about how it works.” When he asked her if she wanted to dance he had already known the answer. For her, that was a good sign it meant that he was a fast learner and she enjoyed that about him.
Lily was caught off guard by his sudden movements against the dancing but she returned his kiss and put her hands on top of his. It was long and when he tried to pull away she was quick to bring him back for another. The women around them grew close-knit as they got curious about Clyde. The flower vendor was quickly sold out as they proceeded to toss the fine flowers at them. Lily laughed and she held herself close to Clyde. “Maybe we should go back to the manor. It feels a tad crowded.” She pulled him down so she could whisper in his ear.
“I feel like we have things to talk about.” Her green eyes were very happy as she held him close in the crowd.

Letting her lead the way, Clyde walked beside Lily. They made their way to a small cafe near the end of the bazaar. As they reached the table, he pulled out the chair for her to sitdown, then took his seat before her. She soon started to talk about herself and her sister. He listened. “It was no bother at all.” He said covering his feelings. “You are a beautiful woman.” He smiled at her as he gave her a comment. The jewelry he gifted her made her eyes shine a brighter. “Hmm… some men don’t know how to treat women. They’re are much more than a excuse me, pair of legs. As some would call women. You are all beautiful creatures who deserve a man who will love you and never leave.” He voiced his opinion.Clyde was glad she liked his gifts. She made a comment about him that made him smile. It was true he put thought in everything he bought. His father always told him a gift wasn’t worth giving if your heart wasn’t in it. “My father always told me a gift isn’t worth giving if your heart isn’t in it.” His eyes seem to go to a different place as he talked about his father. “He showed me how a man should love a woman….. I remember how much he loved my mother. He showed her every day. He wouldn’t leave without a kiss, would always tell her she was beautiful inside and out, he would randomly dance with her to make her smile..he was always trying to make her smile….The way he looked at her was like nothing in the world matter.” He paused with a small laugh. “Besides my sisters and I.” His father was a distant memory he loved to visit. He looked at her and decided to share something he never told anyone before. “My father and mother were an arranged marriage. See.. He was the only son of a king and she a princess. The land they rolled was small, but they were kind and amazing rulers. Until we were invaded and everything my sisters and I knew was gone… “ It didn’t hurt as much as it used to. He grew used to these memories. If this didn’t happen to him then he wouldn’t be here today. With Lily. “I don’t call myself a prince any longer. That is in the past.” He said as he took a sip of tea and ate a small finger sandwich and a few snacks that were on the plate. When they finished eating, he stood pushed out from the table and stood. Grabbing her hand he smiled as he pulled her to her feet. “Shall we dance?” He knew he would never say no to a dance so he kissed her hand and lead her to the quick paced. They danced around keeping up with the people around them. He was new to their dances but remembered them from a week ago when he learned. In the middle of it all, his eyes locked with hers. The music played behind him and her eyes were beautiful. She was beautiful in his eyes. He didn’t want to wait any longer or be interrupted again. Taking her face within his hands, he leaned down and suddenly kissed her. Anastasia stared at them from the edge of the dance area. Her jaw dropped. "He can't get attached! Come-on Clyde! Seriously?!?!?!" Her mind blew up. What was he doing? This wasn't the time for love. It never was. They moved around too much to love. Especially, a woman like her. She was a queen who thought she was high and mighty. She wasn't the woman for him. She had to break this up before it got anymore serious, but she couldn't get to them. The crowd around them grew. Everyone wanted to see who the Queen had kissed.

When the men started to come over to her Lily got really humble. She would wave her hand at them and tell them no thank you. It was a shut down and most of them walked away upset but Lily fully understood their reasonings. She wasn’t interested in furthering someone up the wealth tree especially not in Arri where wealth was so readily available. She took a few moment to deeply breath as they finally escaped the swelling number of men.
Humble Lily stared at the gift that he put on her wrist and blushed like it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. She of course had always been around such things but it didn’t measure up to the feeling she got when others gifted her things. Clyde’s gifts were full of emotion and she could almost see it in his eyes. As soon as she had started to accept his gifts the others drifted away. There would be others to try and court. She let him put the circlet on top of her head and she stared at herself in a little hand mirror. “I do love it Clyde. Thank you.” She reached up and kissed his cheek to the dismay of the remaining others.
She stood for a long time to admire the dress he had gotten for her. He read her so well in the styles of everything he had picked out. The dress and it’s color would look lovely on her especially for Court meetings. She greeted her son with a kiss as he took the things away. Blushing she nodded to Clyde. “You put such thought into every single thing.” She tightened her arm around his and gave him a smile. “Of course I did. You put such thought into them how could I not like them.” She reached up and kissed his cheek once more.
She rested her head against his shoulder and nodded. “I would love to get something to eat. Today have been a very busy day.” She helped him find a small cafe near the edge of the bazaar and found them seats. She stared at into the crowd and frowned. “Arri is one male to every ten females. To have a son is a miracle here. Cursed blood they say. So men try to court higher lines to get higher up in rank. When queens are open they go for them. Of the five queens only two aren’t married. Myself and Cathrine. Cathrine doesn’t entertain them and is off-putting. I suppose I am the friendly of the two to approach. Of Angela’s hundred or so children she’s had less than ten sons. That is why they swarm here in the bazaar trying to find good wives that come from good bloodlines. The women of Arri can be scary, especially warriors like Toya. Most of them are survivors. They were sex slaves, slaves, farmers, abused, whatever you can think of that’s what most Rosenites were before they were turned. They came here to be saved. Men come to visit and often leave women pregnant. It helps keep our numbers but marriages are so few that it does get a bit weird around here. I’m sorry if they bothered you Clyde.” Green eyes stared back at him now as she smiled.
She ordered them a small tray of food and tea. They could at least eat a small dinner here in the bazaar.

As they entered the bazaar, Lily stayed close to Clyde. He was started to feel really comfortable with her being by his side. He liked it. The smell of roses that came from her soon mingled with the smell of the people and food around them. The smell of different food being made, different types of flowers hit his nose as they entered. Lily spoke, mostly to Anastasia Clyde thought. Ana just nodded with a smile. Trying to stay close to them, she walked on the other side of Clyde.
“If I get lost, i’ll just find you both again. You do stick out like a sore thumb.” She joked with a smile. Mostly because some really attractive men started to come over to them. Not for her brother and herself, but for the queen. They were trying to give her gifts, but she refused them. Maybe on Clyde’s account? Ana didn’t know. At least she wasn’t trying to make Clyde jealous, or that is what she thought.
Clyde’s eyes watched as the men came before them for Lily, they continued to offer her gifts and he didn’t understand his feelings. He started to grow annoyed, this was their time. He should've understood that she was the Queen, this was bound to happen sometime. With a mental sigh, he looked away from the on going sutors.
As they walked down the rows of sellers, he was about to yell at yet another man coming to give her gifts. He decided to go a different route, he figured Lily didn’t want him to make a scene. As he looked at the items on the tables, he spotted one that would look beautiful on her. A hand bracelet that looped around a finger. Handing the selling a few coins, he turned to her and showed her. He didn’t wait for her to say no, but slipped it onto her hand. The diamonds seem to glow in the light of the day. The next item he found was jewlery to wear on her feet. She was always barefoot. He smiled as he spotted something that looked like a crown. The silver was swirled in circles and on the front was a few white gems. That was just like he. Simple but beautiful. Slipping it on top of her head, he stared into her eyes. “Beautiful. It fits you.”
Then made their way through more of the shops and finally stopped at the one with dresses. One stress stood out to him. It was a grayish blue that draped over her shoulders and around her legs. It was perfect for her. So he bought it as well. Seeing her son, he called him over and asked him to take the dress to the castle. He had agreed and walked off with the item after his mother admired it.
Clyde didn’t realize that his sister had wandered off on her own, but the queen was still there before him. Looking back over to her he smiled, “I hope you liked all your gifts.” He said as he took her hand again and draped it around his arm. He almost froze for a moment. He had been jealous of the men. "What the heck?" He thought as he walked along side her. There was no doubt that he liked her now. Looking down at her, he wanted to change his thoughts. "Would you like to sit and eat?"

“There are lots of things I could show you that would put you into awe.” There was a tad bit of mischievousness when she said that. Who knew if those thoughts were entirely innocent or if she had meant it to come off as seductive.
His suggestion made her smile. “All you ever have to do is ask and I’ll say yes.” It was a simple answer but she was fluid as she followed his movements. Greens studied blues and she held him close. She was quick to loosen herself as he spun her. The second time she hit his chest and she smiled up towards him. It was a slow movement and one that she enjoyed as they were almost kissing in the garden. That was when Ana had shown up and she let out a small chuckle at their inconvenience.
Lily took a step away from Clyde as if giving him his own space. She offered a smile to Ana as she thought about it. “Well, the bazaar would be the best place to go. You can find almost anything there and the tailors here in the city are some of the best outside of Abed.”
She went to take Ana and Clyde there when Clyde gently took her arm in his. She snuggled her gold curls into his shoulder and gave him a smile before leading them out back into the most colorful part of Arri. Every stall was a different color and there were times when some of the stalls were a rainbow of colors. There was a large fountain in the middle of the bazaar with a mother holding her child. Lily stopped to admire it and was greeted by some people from her court. She kept Clyde close as they were in the busiest part of Arri.
“You could get lost in this crowd. This is the busiest part of the day here in the bazaar.”

Clyde walked beside Lily to what she called, a night garden. His eyes saw no sunlight shining through. Only the flowers and fireflies lit the area. The sound of running water filled the air and the soft sounds of crickets. The time of day was also unknown to them. He looked at the flowers in awe. It was a beautiful sight to see. Something he never really seen anything like it. “You put me in awe every time you show me something new.” He said down to her with a smile. As they walked through the flower garden, they came to an open circled area. The sounds of the garden almost sounded like music. An idea came to him mind. Bowing with her hand still in his he smiled, “May I have this dance?” He asked then he softly moved her hand onto his shoulder then put his hand on her waist. He grabbed her other hand and slowly started to dance around the area. His eyes locked with her as they moved with the sounds of the garden. He twirled her once then another time. This time he didn’t catch her like he was supposed to. She crashed into his chest. Looking down at her, into her eyes. He slowly moved his lips down to kiss her, he couldn’t wait anymore. Before their lips could touch the doors of the garden crashed open. “There you are Clyde.” Ana paused as her eyes widen in realization. “Aww how cute! The lovebirds have made up! Absolutely cute.” Anastasia smiled looking at the two who were in eachothers arms. Clyde sighed and let his arms drop from Lily, turning the elemental narrowed his eyes at his sister. She had did this on purpose. “Lily..Clyde.. would you mind showing me around this amazing place?” She asked with a smile on her face. “Ohh! Let’s do some shopping?! I am in need of some new boots.” Ana moved her right boot side to side, showing how worn they were getting. "Yes, Anastasia." He agreed. He hadn't seen his sister in so long. He did want to spend some time with her without his evil daughter around.
The next morning they would do whatever they could to get Angelique back. For now, they had to do something besides sit around and wait.

Lily nuzzled his hand softly as she pressed her lips against the palm of his hand. It was a simple gesture as her green eyes landed back to his blues. The silence spoke more about the two of them than any words they could ever say to one another. Soon his hand left her face and he was taking the necklace he had gotten for her so he could clasp it around her neck. They were so close and she could feel his breath on her lips but neither moved. Instead, she moved her nose enough to gently rub against his.
That was all she moved towards before he set to healing the small cuts on her hands. She was sure with the way Clyde was that he felt responsible. The glow he had was a soft warmth much like the desert just at sunset. She gave a small smile as they held hands. “Thank you. I know that it worried you.”
There came the silence once more as they sat together just holding hands innocently. Their eyes spoke what they were having trouble saying. She ran her thumbs over his rough skin softly as she thought about everything that had happened. When he pulled her up she cuddled close to him and wrapped her arm around his. “Of course,” she leaned up and kissed his cheek lightly. It was so brief it must have felt like the flutter of butterfly wings.
They took their walk and she ended up taking him all the way to an indoor garden. The entrance was so dark that Lily was laughing as she guided him down the corridor. However, once the room opened up there were hundreds if not thousands of glowing flowers that softly illuminated the room. “One of Arri’s night gardens. We have them outside but for those that want to experience them during the day we have these indoor ones.” Fireflies gently danced around them and she found herself staring at a bush of tiger lilies. “Absolutely a work of art I think.” She saw different varieties of plants that were clearly specimen designed only for this garden.

Clyde looked at the woman before him. He had apologized and didn’t expect her next words. She had killed the man she once loved and her daughter. She had to do those, a daughter who didn’t want to be in pain was not a murder. It was mercy. He thought of the few mercy kills he had once had to do. Pushing the thoughts away, he wanted to only concentrate on the woman before him. “You have a good soul, Lily.” He commented. She was a woman who didn’t turn anyone away. She was caring and sincere. A few of the things he was starting to adore about her. Holding her book on his lap, he removed his hand and brought it up to her cheek. What she said about herself was still getting to her. “You are not a murder.” He held her cheek for a moment as he stared into her eyes in silence.Slowly dropping his hand he removed his hand and brought it down to hers, and took the necklace out of her hands. Putting his hands around her neck, he leaned in as he clasped the necklace around her neck. Their lips were inches apart and he could feel her warm breath on his skin. For a moment he wanted to kiss her, but he pulled away. It wasn’t the time for kisses when he was still worrying about his daughter.Bringing his hands down to hers, he grabbed them softly and turn them around so he could untie the wraps and look at her cuts. His actions had caused this. As he ran his hands over hers, a light glow escaped around their hands. Soon her hands were healed from the scratches. He was only able to heal little wounds, if he could’ve, he would of healed her arrow wound. Holding her hands for a moment he noticed they were soft. His were a bit ruff from all the horse riding. Delicate , small, and soft. He smiled as he held her hands. “There. All healed up.” He said as he looked up into her eyes. He didn’t remove his hands, he held hers. Lily didn’t make a move to remove hers, so they sat in silence as they held each other’s hands. The moment was sweet and innocent. It was a perfect. If he wasn’t the man he was today, he would of kissed her. Now he was a grown man and he was a gentleman. Standing up, he pulled her up with him and looped her arm with his. “Walk with me?” He asked.

That was the thing about Lily. Once upon a time her power had rivaled Angela’s enough that she could have sat in the top tier of power in Arri. However, her heart was never in the kill and she hesitated a lot. She did not have the willpower to force herself to take a life no matter how vicious nor cruel they were. She couldn’t do it by herself. That made her weak. She winced at Clyde’s words and Toya was rather annoyed by his reaction but otherwise, they ignored it. Lily ignored it. It was probably better that way.
She had lavender tea made because her nerves were slowly unraveling. She was lounging on her bench with a good book now. It was the only way her nerves could come back together before she snapped again. At first, she heard her name and she flat out ignored it. She was still angry and she was still stubborn but when he took that book from her the look of annoyance melted from her face. She took the roses with hesitation as she held them up to her nose and breathed in the scent. She was contemplating something as he spoke. “You were right about me being a murderer. Both my daughter and Nymphaea’s father.” She held out her hand so the runes could show. “Ever make a decision that burns you to the core so bad that you can’t bare to even look at yourself in the mirror for years. That when you look at your daughter and see her father that you wince. She looks so much like him you know. Acts like him too. No matter the justification that I can use, I made my decision. It doesn’t matter whether or not he was going to kill Nymph. It was still a nasty choice that I didn’t want to make.”
Her voice faded back out as she looked over at the necklace and gave a soft smile. She gently took it from him and thought about his words. “Not turning people away when they need something is what I do Clyde. Any of my other sisters would have sent you packing. You see they aren’t tolerant of people like her. We send people to death for less than what she has done. Toya’s words were out of anxiety and I fed into it into of fighting her because of that. Our home isn’t as well protected as we would like. With everything going on we seem to forget that our circumstances are not to be held by everyone who comes here. Whether it be Dalanesca trying to kill Angela. Cyprus trying to kill me. Or Toya looking for her lost children. These aren’t problems that should weigh on everyone but we have a hard time looking past them. Do not take Toya’s or my words to heart. Just like I won’t take yours. You are right, we are murderers, thieves, liars… we’re everything. I will not deny these things.”
She lowered the flowers from her nose finally and gave him a sad smile. “I shouldn’t have hit you with the book. I shouldn’t have done a lot of things but I can make up for those things as well.” She reached over and pet his face gently. “If you let me that is.”

Looking over to Lily, he listened to her comments to her daughter. Was what he done so harsh to her, she had to ignore him? Pushing the thoughts away, he watched Nymph leave. Then soon after Toya appeared. The crazy one of the sisters he had met. She reminded him of his sister Ana. He stayed for a moment as she spoke, they were speaking of his sister for a moment, so Clyde wanted to stay. They started to walk and the moment she spoke of gutting his daughter, he stepped in front of her, his eyes narrowed at Toya. “If she doesn’t anything else, I will be the one to handle her. She is my daughter, not yours.” He turned to walk away but stopped, “And watch who you call a murderer.” He glanced at Lily as well. “Maybe I should call your whole family murderers?” Everyone he knew had murdered someone at some point in time. Toya was a warrior of a sort, and so was all of Lily sisters. Maybe even her. She never spoke of killing anyone but everyone in this land had killed someone. With that, the elemental walked to the doors of the castle and outside. As soon as he exited, he stood outside the closed doors behind him. He inhaled deeply and closed his eyes. He couldn’t believe the situation he was in. Couldn’t they go back to a week ago? He wanted his day filled with laughs instead of word of murderers. He usually kept his cool in any situation but when it came to his daughter, he couldn’t. Leaning his head back he looked up towards the blue sky. He needed to get away from both of them. His daughter and Lily came into his mind. He needed a minute alone, so he took it.Walking away from the castle, he walked, not really knowing where his feet were taking him. His mind was absent of thought as he tried to relax. He soon was in the bazaar. His eyes looked around at the busy area. A smile came to his lips as he thought about dancing with Lily. That day felt so far away.“Pretty flowers for pretty ladies!” A man called from beside him. Turning to look, he saw flowers of all different colors. A frown came to his lips, he needed to make up for leaving and now for the words he had said in anger. Flowers would be a good start. Grabbing a small bouquet of yellow roses mixed with white, he paid the man a coin. He needed something else that would be special, not just simple flowers. Walking through the rows of shops, something shiny caught his attention. Turning he looked at the rows of jewelry, most were too many gems or chains, until his eyes fail on one. Gold leaves stretched around the bottom, three diamonds on the sides and ont in the middle that dropped down to a slightly bigger diamond. “Its perfect.” He said aloud to himself before handing to woman money and then shoving it into his pocket. Clyde didn’t wait another moment before turning and walking out of the bazaar. As he walked along the path towards the castle he started to talk to myself. He practice saying sorry and then her name. He tried to put his feelings about everything into words but failed. He just had to wing it. He knew where she would be as he made his way to her. She loved the garden and it was where he had met her. When he saw her he gulped. Before he sat down beside her, he stood there with a small bouquet of flowers. He stayed silent for a moment before speaking. His eyes were on a book and he sighed. He was done with the silent treatment. “Lily.” He said her name before taking the book from her then shoving the roses into her face. He took a seat next to her and sighed. “I am sorry for leaving suddenly. I should’ve said goodbye, but I didn’t have time. Angelique was always on the move and we didn’t have time to waist. I love my daughter more than anything and she needs my help. I did this to her, so I need to fix it.” He paused for a moment as he looked into her eyes. “I didn’t say thank you for everything you did for me. So thank you and I am truly sorry.” He looked took a moment to think of his next words. “I am also sorry for earlier. I shouldn’t have said what I said about your family. Every family has its cross to bare and I should of reacted differently.” He slowly pulled out the necklace from his pocket and held it out for her. “Thank you for all you have done. You could of turned my family and I away, but you didn’t and I thank you for that.”

Lily nodded at Clyde’s words and shooed Nymph. “Come on, the last thing I need is a hormonal teenage half demon on the rampage in town.” She gave her daughter a smile as they started to walk past Angelique. The words that poured out of the girl’s mouth made Nymph try to turn around but Lily stopped her.
“No, the best way to deal with people like her are to ignore her. In our house we do not answer slander, we do not react with violence unless necessary, and we certainly don’t entertain people like her. Now go.” Lily pushed her again and Nymph let out an aggravated noise.
Coming down the stairs past her was Toya. “What did you do to piss her off now,” Toya’s words were hardly quiet as she jabbed at her sister. “I heard we got a new inmate for the keeping. Would be nice when… you know you let our murderer into Arri so I can prep.” The Rosenite was smaller than Lily was which was a shock. She had long brown curls and the same eyes as Lily though not as peaceful.
“Well, our little murderer did say she would kill everyone.” Lily walked alongside the younger one who was now laughing.
“I’ll fucking gut her if she tries. If she can get past me she has to deal with Ang and she isn’t in a mood to deal with anyone.” The youngest met up with Ana and Clyde to give her hellos.
“I forgot she was busy dealing with that nasty business with Dalanesca. She can’t be overly happy right now with that.” Lily looked sad for a moment but Toya shrugged. “Anyways this is Clyde and his sister Anastasia. The one in the cell is Angelique.”
“Looks promising. I can have people down here to help you look after her Anastasia. If you need rest you can get it. Not always nice looking after someone with a personality like that.”
“Oh, you would know. She is acting just like you.” Lily smirked and Toya looked upset for a moment. “I’m kidding Toya calm down. You’ll burn the whole place down with a glare like that.” The youngest left them after that and had a guard placed down with Anastasia. “She really is a good person. It just takes a little bit to get used to her. I’ll have some dinner brought down for you later.”
Lily turned and for a moment she was going to say something but she decided against it to be stubborn. She went back up the stairs and out back to her manor. She found her bench once more and waited until her tea was brought back to her.

Clyde should've saw the book coming at him. He didn’t realize how much he hurt her by leaving suddenly, without a goodbye. He could tell from her actions she was not happy with him. The book that hit him left a feeling of pain, she sure knew put her point across without any words. Rubbing the spot where the book landed, his eyes looked over her. She was beautiful no matter what she wore. “You deserved that.” Anastasia said to him with a laugh. Seeing him get hit in the face by a book was a priceless moment. She was pretty glad she was there. Clyde sighed, he did deserve that. He did just leave without a goodbye or a thank you. Nymphs comment ended with a book being thrown at her. The moment almost made him laugh, but his laugh was silence by the blood he saw coming from her hands. She didn’t seem to notice and continued to speak. “Thank you.” He managed out after she told Nymph what to do. He didn’t expect her to say anything to him. She was rather mad with him, and like all women she was using the silent treatment against him. He stayed quiet as she walked over to his sister.Anastasia looked at the girl in her arms then back at Lily. In all seriousness she voiced, “We are going to need a few of those buckets.” Holy water was a great way to break through barriers. Seeing her hands be wrapped, Clyde frowned. It was because of him that she hurt herself. He needed to find a way to make it up to her and apologize. With a nod, they all started to follow her, even the reluctant Angelique. A few times Clyde had to hold on to her as well. She didn’t want to go to the dungeon. By the time they reached the dungeon, he had to lift her over his shoulder.Seeing Nymph beside the cell, he set his daughter down at the entrance. He ripped off the hood. Her dark wavy hair fell behind her, and his blue eyes stared hard at him. Her lips were chapped and skin was starting to sweat. She was craving blood and they needed her dry. Another day should do it. “Nymph, don’t look her in the eyes. You should head back upstairs and not come down here.” He closed the cell and it locked. Turning to Nymph, he looked at her. “We can’t take the chance of you falling under her mind control, Okay?” He said it in the nicest way possible. He knew how she was very temperamental.Turning to look at Lily he spoke to her, even tho she wouldn’t speak back. “You should keep anyone who can fall under her control out of here.”“Yeah, don’t need me getting out. If you do, I will kill everyone.” Angelique said as her eyes moved to her father. “I’ll will kill you last, so you can watch me kill your girlfriend.” The vampire looked over to Lily. “Mother was prettier than you.” Looking over to her daughter, she smirked. “And look at you. Ugly as shit.”Before Nymph could look at her, Clyde put the hood over her face and picked her up before she could start something. Heading back up the stairs he set her down as he walked a few steps away from the dungeon door. He ripped off the hood and glared into her face. “She will try to get under your skin just so you can look at her. You can’t fall for her schemes.”Anastasia didn’t bother to follow them, but stayed beside the cell. The vampire needed to be watched. Right now, Clyde couldn’t he had some apologising to do.

Lily peeked up over her book and had his scent on her nose. She wrinkled it and put the book back up but he insisted on talking and it wasn’t an apology. Taking the book she slammed it shut enough to make Nymph who was watching from another bench flinch. Taking the book she hit Clyde with it straight against his cheek. Cuts appeared up and down her hand and blood lightly trickled she winced but other than that ignored his existence.
“Oh man, you fucked up,” Nymphaea was giggling but Lily was quick to grab the book and throw it at her daughter. She almost hit her but Nymph had managed to see it coming.
“No comments from the idiot gallery,” Lily was harsh with her words and Nymph saluted her.
“Whatever you say, Mom,” there was a grin on the girl’s face as she watched the group.
“Go tell your grandmother that we are prepping to bring someone to the castle. Don’t take your time either. I expect it to be prepped by the time we get there.” Lily shot a glare at Nymph who seemed more aloof than usual.
“Yeah, yeah. Dungeon, cell prepped, tell grandmother… Probably in the reverse order, I just listed.” The young girl got up and left through the doors.
Lily put a smile on her face as she approached Anastasia and looked over at Angelique. “I’ve heard about the troublesome one from the wind.” She was obviously angry as she even failed to acknowledge his presence. “I have a troublesome daughter as well. I find a bucket of holy water generally keeps mine in good standing.” She was joking for the most part but she did use a bucket of diluted holy water to make sure Nymph’s demon blood was in check.
“Let’s take a walk, shall we? The walk to the castle should be fine. Word of advice, if she gets loose in the city… it will probably be my little sister who hunts her down quickest. I would prefer to avoid getting Toya involved. She’s been looking too eagerly for a fight lately.” All of this with a happy smile on her face as clapped her hands and a servant appeared.
“My lady! Your hand,” the woman was quick to wrap something around it and Lily just sighed.
“Honestly, it’s just a scratch. Nothing to fuss over.” Lily smiled.
“My lady you said that about the arrow wound in your side as well.” The servant poked a hole in her story and it just made Lily chuckle.
“Tis just a little wound I promise.” Lily shooed her and she took the teapot, cups, and book back inside. “We can head there now. My grandmother should have the cell ready if Nymph didn’t decide to run a muck on the way there.” They took a short cut from her manor to the castle and she found the stairs leading down to the dungeon and stopped short. "The spells on the dungeon are tight. As long as she in there she can't get out." The dungeons were made out of a sandstone-like material but the runes around each of the cells were something else entirely. Nymph was sitting outside of the one prepped and she looked up at her mother like it had taken them a decade to get there.
"You took forever," Nymph groaned as she leaned against the bars.

Traveling across the desert with a soulless vampire was hard. Angelique had gotten away from the two elementals at least three times, leaving victims behind her before they captured her again. The enchanted shackles around her wrists didn’t stop her from using her strength and witts. She waited until they rested the horses and was able to get away. Clyde caught her a once, but it was Anastasia that would catch her. She wanted to beat the vampire senseless, but that wasn’t going to happen when Clyde was around. Entering the city of Arri, the guards spotted Clyde. It took them a moment to figure out who he was, but it wasn’t until he spoke they knew who he was. “Clyde to see Queen Lily.” He said as he walked beside the horse who had a vampire strapped to his back. “We’ll send someone there for you. Start heading here.” One guard said while motioning to move.Anastasia stabled the horse she borrowed and walked by Clyde. The way she dressed got looks by some of the men that walked the streets, they’re weren’t many. Her shirt was white and showed off most of her skin, it was sleeveless, had a low V neck ad showed off her stomach. A matching leather vest was over it.. Her green pants were low waisted. A belt was looped through her pants and on hung around her waist, the buckle of that small belt was gold with feathers. Her hair fell down her back in long waves. Her curvy body was the culprit of the stares. He was quiet during their whole way here besides talking to the snapping Angelique. “What is wrong?” She asked looking at him. “I didn’t say goodbye.” He said while looking ahead as they walked. “Oh… I am sorry about dropping by like that and taking you away.” She put her hand on his shoulder for a moment and let it fall off. He had told her many things about Lily. She was sweet but strong and could hold her own. Their moments together was still fresh in his mind like it was yesterday.
“I wonder what mom would say. You’re in love with another woman. Tsk tsk.” The dark hood over her head made her not be able to see anything but she could still speak. Anastasia eyes glared over to the vampire on the horse's back. “Shut it.” She walked over to her and hit her over the head. She was on her stomach afterall, only way to assure she didn’t run off on the horse.Clyde’s mind started to run wild after his nieces comment. Was in love with her? Could her be with a woman's life her? “No..” He thought to himself. He wasn’t in love with her, he couldn’t be. He promised never love another again. He couldn’t do that to Margrett. She was his one and only.”But she is dead..” His face stayed blank as they walked towards Lily’s home. He suppressed a sigh, he had no doubt in one thing. He had feelings for Lily and he couldn’t stop it.Butterflies flew around in his stomach as the entered where she was. They were granted passage to see her. Anastasia stayed behind him with a struggling Angelique, they had removed her from her horse but not the hood over her face.
“Lily. I need your help.” He said with a frown looking at the book in front of her face. “This is my daughter, Angelique. We need a place where she can’t get out. I need your dungeon..” He got straight to the point. “I am not your daughter.” Her words simple and out for everyone to hear. She said it loud and didn’t miss a beat. The words struck his heart. “Shut it girl before i gag you.” Anastasia said into the vampire’s ear. Clearing her throat, she smiled over to the book. “I am Anastasia. Clyde’s beloved sister.” The elemental didn’t wait to introduce herself. She didn’t want the queen to think she was his lover. After all, “He is in love with her.” She thought with a smile as she held onto the vampire tight.

It had been a while since Clyde had left her side in the middle of their time together. She had watched as some unknown woman had taken him somewhere in a hurry. What had bothered her the most was the kiss. It made her scoff at herself as she picked up her book and shoved it right back in her face. She had been thinking about it for days. It had bothered her and she didn’t quite understand the whys.
Her golden hair was kept down and she was wearing a similar dress to that of the day Clyde had left. This time it was white and gold. A soft gold circlet sat around her head with many gems of different colors to decorate it. It complimented her red and gold eyes. She lounged on the bench and brought her teacup up so she could softly sip on the freshly brewed tea. She stopped mid-sip to realize it was the same tea that Clyde and her had when he had first shown up. She put the teacup down and sighed as she called for a servant. “Can you get me some rose tea, please. Just dump the other pot out into the flowers.”
“Yes, Ma’am.” The servant hurried off and Lily was honestly upset with herself. She wasn’t honestly getting attached to a man she barely knew…. Was she? A scoff left her lips again as she pulled the book closer and buried herself in the great story of a knight who was also in love. She rolled her eyes but realized most of her books involved something similar. There was no getting her mind completely off of it.
“Ma’am?” The boy came back and gave her the teapot and cup for her to drink from. “We have visitors on the way from the gate.”
“Bring them in. I’ll be here.” She offered a smile as she poured herself a new cup of tea and softly sipped on the sweetness of it. “I don’t know why I would be getting visitors at this time of the month but they are most welcomed.” The boy ran off to escort the visitors to his Lady.
