A clock. All this fuss over a clock.
The world was growing unstable for whatever reason, or at least that was what was being spread all over the realm these days. The rifts up in the sky had been only few in number in the beginning had now littered it throughout Revaliir. Strangers had fallen from them, believed to be from another realm and now everyone was spewing from their mouths that something had to be done. Only in times of crisis has Vertigo seen the other mortals actually work together if it met that it would save their skins. Even she had to be on board with the idea, which was why she was here with her arms filled with instruments that were required for the clock's repair. It wasn't that she was doing it out of the kindness of her heart, oh heavens no! She decided to lift a hand in this affair only for her benefit for she needed people to feast upon and if the world was going to end, then where would that leave her?
Still, as she walked through the Maze, she couldn't help but to question this logic still. As magical and mythical as the people claimed this clock to be, Vertigo couldn't help but to feel that this was a ludicrous concept. How was one clock in the middle of nowhere suppose to "cure" this Timedeath or whatever it was called and save the whole realm? Indigo eyes looked forward to see that there was already a group of people ahead of her; they too carried the knickknacks needed. As she watched them head for the clock, she was reminded of Nemesis' words and shook her head. He was a fool that thought the world would end without him breathing. The only thing of worth from him was that he was the source of how she learned of all of this. For having a big mouth that constantly spoke only of himself, he did have something of interest to say from time to time. Unlike him though, she couldn't afford to be lazy and watch the world come into ruins. Nay, there was still plenty of things that she wanted to do, so many morsels that she hadn't sampled yet. There was no way that she would let it all come to an end so soon, not if she could help it in some degree.
