"Shockingly when someone comes banging on One's door it does tend to be about One," Raith replied snootily, swiftly losing patience in dealing with this particular insect. He didn't have the patience for those beneath him at the best of times, but ones who couldn't even afford basic etiquette and respect for his magnificence? Well… that was a whole other matter entirely.
"Well I'm more special than you, that's for certain, in fact, other than my fellow Deities I would say I'm more special than the rest of Revaliir since it was I the Voice picked for Ascension, would that not be correct?" He continued smugly.
"Personally I couldn't give two shits, in fact, I couldn't give one shit what you have to do - you've come to my door, demanding my apprentice and seem to think I owe you something? Incorrect. So unless you start talking to me with the respect I am due, I would suggest you leave." Raith stepped forward, Indra slithering behind his Master as they left the Gate, the doors shutting behind them.
"Oh, but I do," the God snarled, closing the distance between himself and Rhenakos in the blink of an eye, fist launching into the man's chest to propel him backward.
"Now, I suggest we start this again, don't you?"

Rhenakos crossed his arms, starting to tap his foot impatiently. “Always the issue with you gods. It’s all about you, isn’t it?” He dropped his arms, and raised the pitch of his voice, “Look at me, I’m special, so I can act like a pretentious fuck.” He resumed his scowl at the God, “Look, God or no, doesn’t really matter to me. I just need to get this stupid task done so I can go the fuck home to my lovely Roseweed, and actually get something productive done with my life instead of running errands left and right for everyone.”
The hunter was starting to get annoyed with the whole situation. His left eye was starting to burn and water. It was pulsing again. It used to only be around demons, but lately, it was getting worse. Unless the God was secretly a demon.
What…you saying he’s a demon? It was possible. Highly probable.
Maybe you should just get this over with. Shouldn’t take too long. This time, the voice was that of Osiria.
You killed me, after all. After the love of your life, a God should be nothing.“So like I was saying,” Rhenakos said a little too loudly, trying to drown out Osiria’s voice ringing in his ears. “Just need to talk to the brat for a moment. Don’t really have the time for games…”

Raith raised an eyebrow at the tone, holding up a hand to halt the hidden Basilisk before the beast strike at the man daring to speak to his Master in such a tone. Raith was used to insults and he was used to people being rude; it was neither here nor there as far as he was concerned.
"Usually my guests cross the threshold and actually come to my Citadel rather than lingering on my doorstep, given I'm a God people do tend to come to me to pay their respects, rather than the other way around," he replied sarcastically.
As the man muttered 'shut up' the Deity raised an eyebrow, that could potentially have been at
him though it honestly did not feel as though it was directed at him. As the man spoke Raith sighed heavily, so that was why he hadn't come through the door - the Gate hadn't allowed him, it hadn't given him the feeling that it would open for him.
"Not the brightest spark are we?" The Deity rubbed his head with a hand, massaging his temples with his fingers, this was going to be a long and tedious encounter.
"I could give a damn if you're on your last legs and need to see him, you don't come to my door and make demands of me. Lewis is my apprentice, he is under my supervision, so no. I will not bring him out here, and I will spend the next century wasting your time if I so choose."

Rhenakos had waited a decent amount of time, his patience wearing thin. At least the previous God he had met had sent an attendant to greet him. He neared the door again to make another round of knocks, when suddenly the doors burst open as if a giant were ramming them. Rhenakos felt the air rush by him, the edge of the black metal doors inches from his face.
“Oooh, flashy,” Rhenakos said with a haughty tone. “And rude. You keep all your guests waiting?” He looked Raith over, scoffing. Much like the other he had met, this God did not seem to give off the presence that Rhenakos was expecting. Never mind the mention that, even with his demonic eye, he was barely capable of sensing magical prowess. Scent, however…
Danger. It lingers about him. Oh? Are you afraid?“Shut up,” Rhenakos muttered, bringing his attention to Raith’s questions. “What do you mean, path? It’s a door. It would be rude to just barge in…” He glared as the god continued his tirade of insults. “Look, I don’t have time to waste on your stupid puzzle. All of you high and mighty folk think we have all day to do your stupid trials. I’m on a time crunch here. Just bring the brat Lewis here and we can be done. I’ve got business with him.” The hunter crossed his arms, “Or are you just going to waste more of my time here…”

Someone was a knock, knock, knocking at his door. Literally it seemed.
The God raised an eyebrow, a hand lazily shifting from his lap to the rising head of the Basilisk beside him.
”Hush Indra, it’s alright,” he uttered softly, palm resting atop the giant snakes head before the creature could get too worked up.
Whoever had travelled to Apoy to visit the God’s Temple seemed extremely angry.
Sighing heavily the Deity stood up and made his way out of the Observatory to meet (he could hardly say greet) the latest Pilgrim at the door to his home.
Indra followed behind his Master, the colossal snakes movements completely silent as he slithered behind Raith - the God’s silent protector. Together the pair made an easy path through Raiqi, the walls of the Labyrinth shifting to allow passage for their Lord and Master to pass through without winding his way down the twists and turns unnecessarily.
Who had come to see him this time?
Raith smiled as he reached the Gates, time to make an entrance. Fingertips touching steel, Raith pushed them open, the doors slamming wide with a resounding ‘clang’!!
”I believe someone called for me, was the walk to my Halls too difficult for you to traverse? Do your legs not function? Or do we not have the brain capacity to work out how to get through my maze?” The God asked, keeping Indra hidden in the darkness behind him.

[i[Go get the brat. Rhenakos mocked as he made his way up the winding path of the Apoy Island. It was hot. It was humid. His head was hurting. And his left eye itched. The hunter let out a series of expletives as he stumbled over a stray rock.
If I didn’t owe the bastard, I wouldn’t be doing this. He looked at the path that lay out before him. At least this time he had remembered to bring proper gear.
Rhenakos didn’t really care for all that had happened between the runt, Xeik, and his friend. Something about killing and guild rules. Whether or not Lewis was in the wrong or the right was irrelevant. The hunter knew that Xeik’s wish was nothing more than a child’s fantasy, but even he knew that the boy had some points. On the opposing side of this argument, Lewis was no slouch either. The direct path was sometimes the easiest, even if it did involve the death of those responsible.
But Rhenakos had learned his own lesson involving wonton rage and destruction. It had lead him to a dark, dark place. The last time he had seen Lewis, though, Rhenakos couldn’t gleen a single ounce of hatred from the teen. He was either a cold and calculating killer, or he was a pro at hiding his emotions.
But between Raile, who needed Lewis for a job, and Xeik, who was worried that the assassin had caught the eye of a God, Rhenakos was the chosen among the two ‘bodyguards’ to go and seek the teen out.
As Rhenakos appoached the massive steel gates, shimmering black against the sunlight, he couldn’t help but recall the last time he had encountered a God. He held about as much respect for that particular God as he did the demons he hunted. The very first time he had met the God, though, Rhenakos had been less than polite. Sure, he had made some personality changes since then, but by no means what Rhenakos a ‘pleasant’ person. Of course, Osiria could more than keep him in check should she choose to, but she wasn’t here right now.
But I am, The voice inside his head sounded. His left eye was burning again.
“Shut it,” he uttered as he looked over the gates. “Let them look at the sky…” He let out a sigh. “Blah, blah…” He slammed the bottom of his fist into the door several times, creating a resounding knock.
“OI! LEWIS! OR WHATEVER GOD YOU ARE.” He waited for a moment as the sounds of his “knock” left the air. “Great..it better not be one of these damned puzzles…” It wasn’t that Rhenakos couldn’t do puzzles. By no means was he a
complete idiot, it was that he hated wasting his time.
