All that was transpiring in the span of such a short period of time was almost mind blowing. Alairia stood in the new set of rooms that belonged to Raith and herself. She was in disbelief at how quickly the world had changed for the couple. It would have been a lie to say that she was not scared of what was now placed before them. Raith had been ascended to the lofty dignified position of godhood. Never had Alairia believed that such would have been possible. Her arms were wrapped about her person as if to hold back the slight shaking that trembled through her muscles. Deep ran the wells of her love for the man. Never did this waver. But now, there was much more at stake. The eyes of the world were upon him to see what he was going to do for them….or to them.

The god of wrath and heavens. She knew that his temper had a depth that few could truly understand. That it resonated deep within his soul. There was a difference between knowing it in the mind, but to have it acknowledged by the Voice? It was much more certain. She was nothing like Raith when it came to anger. To his darkness, she was the light. That was what he was always saying of her. Dae said it often as well. Ria felt unworthy of such a description. Yet, they continued to press this upon her. Now that Raith was wrath incarnate, she hoped to be able to keep him grounded to his true self away from the hate he would embody.

A light breath before she released the hold on herself. Another breath before she felt seated in her mind. A smile came to her lips as she moved towards the room that belonged strictly to the couple. Silence perched upon a cushion of the lavish couch off to the side of the room. Ria appreciated the sight he helped provide her at the moment. Being in new quarters was going to take time for her to become acquainted with it all. Until then, Ria would need the help. Ky and Dusk stood up from their large pillow beds to reach her side. The large night lupine rubbed his head against his mistress’s hand in order to obtain an ear scratch. ”So, my dears, what do you all think of the new home? Quite lavish, don’t you think? Lord Raith has spoiled us all rotten.”

Dog and wolf walked on either side of the half elf to guide her towards the large bed. It was larger than was truly needed, but it could accommodate Raith’s wings or the animals that were starting to get in their heads to cuddle at night. Ria gently traced her finger tips along the soft comforter before climbing up to sit against the headboard. Both Ky and Dusk jumped up to join her to rest on either side of her. ”Spoilt brats,” she laughed while petting each.

There was little else that needed to be done with the unpacking. Most of their things had already been delivered to the temple from the shop and guild hall. Alairia was quite done with moving after having transferred many things between shop, hall, and now temple. Head rested back against the headboard as he eyes closed. The feel of the dog and wolf’s fur beneath her touch was soothing. Now, she only wondered what work would be placed before Raith. What would be expected of him? What would be expected of her?

He had left their private rooms, within the Watchtower, to tend to some business in the main part of the Observatory. There had not been any visitors as yet, though the celebration that he was planning would soon let the whole of Revaliir know of his arrival and his ascendancy, then they would be able to plan their pilgrimage to his Temple, where they could worship him appropriately, as he deserved. The acknowledgement from the rest of the world had been a long time coming, as far as he was concerned, but it was here now, so it did not matter too much - the Voice had seen the potential within him, and given him his Godhood, that was all that really meant anything… that and the fact that Alairia was by his side through all of this.

When he had formed their home, it had been done with Alairia in mind. The Gate, the Labyrinth, the separation of the Watchtower, and the doors to Mamlak and the Ancense Ruins… everything had been built so that his lover could remain by his side, happily, and with the ability to come and go as she so pleased. More than anything, his ascension meant that he would be able to properly protect her. Never again would an incident like that with Xyaban happen again, and even if it did, he would have the ability to make the transgressor burn… which was exactly what he had planned for the Dragonness when next they met, and meet they would, for Raith was determined to see her suffer at his hands now that he had the power to rip her, limb from limb.

Given that he had been the one to forge this home for them, he had no use of Silence's sight for the moment, preferring his loyal companion to remain with Alairia until such time as she was used to the twists and turns of their safe haven. The Drake had seemed reluctant at first, not because he disliked Alairia in any fashion. but purely out of his loyalty and bonding to his Master, though in truth it had taken very little for Raith to persuade the creature to remain with his lover and act as her eyes for the moment.

With everything taken care of, and their home fully finished, Raith opened the portal within the Gate on Apoy, so that when the doors were opened their visitors would be able to traverse the gap between the realm he had forged and that of the world they resided within. He doubted that many would be travelling to them just yet, not until they received their invitations at least. No, for now he was free to return to her side, free to enjoy everything that was now his. Smiling to himself, Raith strode out of his Throne room, up the winding steps of the Watchtower, using his connection to Silence to swiftly determine which of the rooms his beloved was now in.
It amused him to know that Ky and Dusk had made themselves at home on the bed with her, though he did not mind - the wolf and the dog brought happiness to his lover and made her feel safe, and he had to admit that he preferred the company of animals to the company of many other 'sentient' beings. Opening the door he smiled at the woman even if she could not see it.

"I see they've made themselves comfortable already," he chuckled, his attitude naturally softer with his lover than it ever was with anyone else, "Though there might have to be some rules about you lot being on the bed with us all of the time." He snorted, crossing the room from the door, sliding onto the bed and grinning. "Are you happy my love?" He asked, reaching out to caress Alairia's face tenderly.

In the silence of the large room Alairia enjoyed the warmth that filled it. With time her aches and pains had lessened. The conversation that had taken place between herself and Raith had changed them in many ways. Now that Raith had been selected for ascension there was sheer power pounding through his veins. The Lord of Heavens and Wrath was immortal for all time. That thought alone made her fingers curl a little tighter in the fur of her companions. What would an immortal need with a mortal?

Ria quickly shook her head at her own awful thoughts and doubts. Raith, no matter what either their status would, never would turn away from her. No. The man was faithful to her for all the years that they would be allowed together. She could feel the tightening in her chest at the thought that one day she would die; that she would not be beside him. Mortals only had a certain allotment of time in the world. If one were to take into account the escape from DaeLuin, Alairia was already living on borrowed time.

Help of sight had been lent to her from Silence. The half elf knew that the little dragon did not want to leave his master’s side, but his assistance was greatly appreciated. What Ria truly wished for was her sight to be returned. Many hours of debate had occurred between Teu and herself on if it would ever be possible. Finally, the pair realized that with continued healing treatments it was certainly possible. Alairia wanted to see the home Raith had created for them. She wanted to see the Heavens he commanded with a mere though. She wanted to see it with her own eyes instead of an interpretation from Silence.

Laying in the bed, Ria opened one eyelid slowly. There was a slight pain that she knew would start a headache at the fringe of her mind later. Nothing could be seen. Nothing but darkness. Though there was only darkness yielded, Ria was pleased that her eyelids were opening with greater ease. That was the first step. Xy’s venom had been potent. One that none in her family had ever seen before. This fact alone made it difficult to treat the injury. She had been lucky to have physically lost her eyes or her nose from the strength of that venom. What was a blessing was that her own healing powers staved off the true damage until her mother had been able to work on her.

A shift in the canines’ told her someone was approaching. It took little time for the scent to reach her and give tell that it was her love. A smile spread across her lips. ”Of course they have. They are little sloths when it comes to their comfort around here. You would think they had been born for this level of comfort with how quickly they have taken to it,” she laughed. Alairia understood deeply now the affect she had upon the new deity. Whenever they interacted his tone was always different from what he gave to others.

Ria gently pushed on Dusk and Ky in order to make them move out of Raith’s way. Small grunts of irritation were audible even as they got up to move to the bottom of the bed. Clearly they were not going to give up the soft, warm comforter if they could help it.

Her hand covered the one that caressed her cheek while she smiled up at him. ”How could I not be happy? You have accomplished a radical dream that you have had. In quite an impressive way, to be noted.” She leaned her face into his touch before shifting to be cradled in his arms. ”I just want to be with you. Wherever that may be. The fact we have our own home; I never thought it would be one as grand as this.” Alairia took his arms to wrap them about her waist. All she wanted was to feel his strong form around her. ”Are you okay though? This is quite an extreme change….”

As Raith made his way up the stairs of the Watchtower, he reflected on his beloved Alairia, the Observatory had been designed with her in mind. He had wanted to keep her safe, as well as happy, in their new home. He was acutely aware that she was still young, especially for an Elf, and that she had always been with her family. While his own family didn’t mean much to him, Alairia’s were her world, and he worried silently, that she would miss them and wish to return to their fold, rather than stay here by his side.
He loved her, he wasn’t afraid to admit that, though he knew he didn’t deserve her love whatsoever. He would do whatever it took to make her happy, for as long as he could, while remaining true to who he was.

A niggling thought returned to the back of his mind, about her sight. While he enjoyed teaching her to use her senses, as he did, and it was intimate in ways other activities could never compare, he hated that she had lost that sense. He had never had it, therefore he could not miss it, but she could. While her blindness had brought them closer, in its way, he knew he needed to do what he could to restore her eyesight, so that she could be truly independent again, and see the world that he had built for her.

Any worries he had, vanished at the mere sound of her voice, and he smiled softly. ”Well as long as they’re happy, and more importantly as long as you are,” he chuckled, sliding onto the bed next to her, so that her could pull her against his chest, drinking in her scent. ”My dream, as you say, but not your own. Though I hope I can make it yours, in any way that I can, and make the Observatory a place you want to call home, not just because we live here but because it calls to your heart,” he said softly, kissing her forehead. Raith was always much softer with his lover, to see him with Ria was to see a new side to him, one that very few did not know at all.
He snorted. ”Of course I am, you know me, I’ve always known my own worth, it’s just irritating that it’s taken the rest of the world so long to catch up,” the sad thing was, you could hear the sincerity in his tone… he really meant those words. ”Ria, I’ve been thinking… I think I might have the strength to restore your eyesight, now I’m Divine. I wouldn’t want to rush the process, but I could accelerate the healing, if you’ll let me.”

While lying in the rather massive bed Alairia allowed her fingers to sprawl in the thick fur of her two canine bonded companions. They were already starting to settle in the soft bed. Dusk was new to their little group, and yet he was fitting in quite well. He seemed to enjoy the small family that continued to grow. Long delicate fingers massaged their thick fur to get to the defined muscles beneath.

She thought about the sheer luck that had been bestowed upon her. Alairia was certain that she must have been a sort of saint in a past life to be where she was now. A soft smile lingered upon her lips as she thought about where she was. In a temple that belonged to her love. The man, god, was ever showering her in his love in any way that he could. Ria still was unsure why he had decided to select someone such as she. There was little special about Alairia according to her own thoughts. She was a half elf adopted by a powerful family. Her mother raised her to know the ways of medicine as well as how to take care of the patient’s mental well-being. And since her sight had been poisoned away from her, Ria was using this time to find a way to learn how to heal the mentally burdened. Now she was further debilitated with injuries that they may never heal. What a catch Lord Raith was deemed to be saddled with.

Ria clicked her tongue in her mouth as the thoughts continued to delve into her flaws. Raith was a loyal and loving man. It just depended on what was out there to catch his eye away from her. She needed to get stronger and surer. Daughter of the Balatro Family. Chosen by Raith, god of Wrath and the Heavens. A light ‘humf’ was released by her shepherd as he flopped to his side as if to bring his master out of her thoughts.

A light laugh was given in response. ”Alright, I will stop my self-pitying…for now,” she said while ruffling his fur. Alairia worked on opening her eyelids while they all lay around. The tightening in her chest released as Raith moved onto the bed beside her. She curled against his powerful chest while her hands gathered up the fabric of his shirt. ”You call my heart.” A simple, straight forward answer. He was all she wanted. ”Truthfully, I don’t know what I have as a ‘dream’ as you put it. I want to help people. I want to heal them from the trauma.” Her lips were pressed tightly together as she thought about how to phrase what she wanted to say. ”Like I was helped with. There is the healing of the body, but the healing of the mind and soul is harder. It takes longer. That is what I want to do.” A light shrug was given while resettling tightly in her love’s grasp. Alairia knew that he wouldn’t laugh at her admitted dream. That he was different only when he was in her presence.

It took a lot of her willpower not to let out a sarcastic laugh at his admittance to the recognition from the world. He was so cocky. The personality trait was something that she found endearing about him. Though amusing.

There was a hard swallow from the young elf as she turned her head upwards to ‘look’ at him. Both were sightless; one from birth and the other from a tragic attack. ”You think that you could?” If it was never possible, Ria would live with that. She had realized as time was passing that she missed her ability to see. The world that Raith had now created for her. To see it merely through those of others was not enough. Alairia wanted to see the world that her love would forge for them both. ”I would like that. I know it will take time, but I would like to try.”

He chuckled and kissed her fingers. "Of course I call your heart, and while my ego would like to say that I'm your entire world, even I am not so arrogant as to believe it," he snickered, grinning at his love as he held her close, revelling in the feel of her body against his own. He listened as Alairia spoke, taking in every word. "You are better suited to such things than I," he snorted, "have you considered reaching out to your saviour? To this, Artiya'il, who came to you at your worst? I have yet to thank the Archangel, but if that is the kind of thing you wish to pursue, maybe she is best placed to guide you down that path? I would say you could have patients here, however I doubt my Observatory is exactly the best place, not for the types of people you would be looking to help at least."
His brow knotted a little, as he wondered how best he could support his lover's dreams. He would never be the type to help others, not for nothing, and money would only go so far in his book. "You know I will do whatever I can to support your dream, if you want a place here then I will design one, though I have a feeling your mother's shop is better suited to such things than the Observatory."

Raith felt her body shift against him, and knew that she was 'looking' at him. For Alairia, she had been robbed of something that had always been hers, for him it was something he had never had, and therefore could not possibly miss… "I believe so. The Touch is able to restore life, at a cost of course, I do not see why it could not therefore restore your sight. I would rather take it slowly, I believe I could heal your eyes at once, but my concern would be the impact on your mind, going from being sightless to seeing all at once. You've honed new senses now, senses that will keep you safer when I'm not around to protect you, if we take your healing slowly it will mean your body does not immediately rely on your sight again, but will keep your heightened senses that we have been working on," he said softly.
"We can start right away, if you are ready?"
