Lightning crackled and power coursed through the magic circles lined with runes. Eyes glowing bright, the arcanist gleefully cackled as her experiment came forth. Raising her hands she shouted to the sky: "YES, YEEESSS!!! IT LIIIIIIIVES!!!!" The process of alchemical fusion complete, she approached the central circle with a wide grin. "Finally, it's time to pay a certain someone–a house call!" Taking out two terracotta pots, she placed the results into light wooden boxes.

Hours later, she emerged from a portal in front of Tar Eisalae. She struggled as she pulled the boxes out from the other side of the magical gateway, and when they were on the ground beside her she looked up only to have the smile fall from her face. "…Fiddlesticks. I opened it too far away. Well I'm not gonna waste my magic just to open it up again. Shoot, I should've brought some wheels." Giving an exaggerated sigh, she cast levitation on the boxes and began to move them along as she approached the door. "Hrm…'Open Says-a-Me!' Nope, it's no good. Oh hey what's this thing do?" Finding the 'secret' she pushed the button and entered the Library Temple. Passing through the entry hall, she spun around slowly as she took in the murals and frescoes depicting the deity's life to the present day. At the end, she found the guest book and went to sign only to find her name was already appearing on the list. "Oooh, neat! No ink pen scribbles for you then!"

Entering the library proper, she stared up at the massive lines of shelves filled with books, books–and more books. She could probably spent a lifetime just reading here, but that wasn't why she was here today. Lugging her boxes behind her, they wobbled as the contents shifted inside. "Shh, bad surprise present! Bad! No letting the cat outta the bag before delivery! What's the point of a surprise if they can guess what's inside already?" She made her way to the library center and sat the boxes down on the floor. There was a big magical tree here, and she knew it was magical because apples weren't shiny like gold or silver. She wasn't feeling particularly hungry, so she didn't try to sneak one.

This area should be obvious enough to the Keeper that he had a visitor waiting for him. And if that wasn't enough, she could always yell. Yelling in a library always got the librarian's attention. Finding herself a comfy chair, she jumped into it and began swinging her legs back and forth waiting for the deity to come.

He hadn't been expecting Myouga to be paying him a visit, however, after her success in the Days of Hebheka, he wasn't surprised in the least to have her coming by. She had mentioned she had planned on it. Fortunately, he wasn't overly busy at the moment, he was merely detailing to Iris some things he needed done that day apart from her normal duties. She followed behind him quickly, her boots clacking softly on the stone floor as she scribbled down notes on what he was dictating to her as the pair of them left the Conservatory and headed towards the Tree of Clarity.

"I understand sir, is there anything else you need?" Iris questioned as they came into view of Myouga. 
"No, Iris that should do for the day, go about your work," he insisted and his Avatar hurried off to tend to her duties. Drae turned and with a broad smile approached Myouga with open arms. "Myouga! Wonderful to see you, dear! I trust you have been keeping out of trouble since our last encounter?" he asked as he came forward to the champion of the Days of Hebheka. 

He was very aware of the twitching boxes near her chair and he raised an eyebrow slightly, but waited on her rather than ask what it was she had brought. 

Seeing the Keeper himself appear, a wide grin spread over her face. "I haven't burned the forest down yet, sir! Menomori is still intact!" Hopping off the chair she landed squarely on both feet and began rubbing her hands together in nervous anticipation. She saw he was looking at the boxes, which made her grin even more; revealing her slightly pointed canines compared to the average human. That impish smile of hers was a tell-tale sign that something was afoot. Still grinning like a goofball, she slowly approached the closest box to her and picked it up, and held it up with the assistance of telekinesis. "I come bearing gifts! I heard you had kids, so I wanted to give a belated baby shower present!"

Setting the first box down, she backed away from it waiting for Drae to reveal its contents. "It's a little something I made myself–I even gave your wife one ages ago!" When the deity would open the twine-bound package, inside the wood panels would fold down unveiling the same monstrosity which the arcanist had delivered to the Goddess of Life herself. It was a wobbling, googly eyed goldfish plant–with the emphasis on the literal goldfish in place of where a flower bud should be. This one was smaller than the initial version Myouga had given to Angela, standing only at two feet from the base of the terracotta pot to the top of the planimal's upper fin. Moreover, it was bright pink. Nothing about this aberration seemed natural.

The mage stood beside the second boxed goldfish plant, awaiting the deity's reaction. "Soo…what do you think? Oh by the way–they're mute this time." She didn't know if he had seen or heard the 'original' version, but since his domain and his wife's had merged there was a high possibility. 

"Glad to hear that, Myouga," he chuckled. "You are grinning like a maniac, that tells me you have something exciting up your sleeves. I saw that grin a couple times during Hebheka, I am sure," he commented. He watched as she turned and picked up one of the boxes before she offered it to him. 

"Well now, thank you very much," Drae said with a grin as he accepted the deceptively heavy box. "And if you made it yourself, I expect that it will be spectacular," he chuckled. He opened the box and revealed the folding panel box which he carefully folded to reveal the strange plant fish that he had only ever seen once at the Gardens. Its eyes bulged at him, and the expression on his face was one of near horror. Gods he hated that fish, simply because because of how much it screamed. And it always caught him by surprise. It was a common occurrence to watch him jump when it screamed. 

His face was one of abject horror until Myouga mentioned that this particular fish was mute, at which point an overwhelming sense of relief, which clearly registered on his face. "I am grateful for that for sure," Drae said with a sigh of relief and a grin in the mage's direction. "Mute makes me very happy. The other one scares the daylights out of me every time," he admitted. 

"Thank you, Myouga. I think that Poppy and Lark will love this," he said. "The pink is a nice touch. Looks like a piece of candy with a stem and fins," he laughed. "What does it require as far being cared for?"

The little mage was delighted that the deity was so surprised! Unfortunately the look of horror flew over her head like water rolling off the back of a duck. He must really like it if he was shocked speechless! Hearing the Keeper mention her other goldfish plant reminded her of the very first ones she had created back then. Since the merging of the two deities' domains, whatever one had in their realm could easily be encountered by the other. "Ohh! You've seen the red one? That was one of my veeeery first goldfish plants back when I was mixing and matching colors! I made it with a super-rare goldfish, that's why its eyes are so big. I figured out why they kept screaming. It was because of the mandrakes!" Yes, the arcanist had used those mandrakes in her fusion. That would explain a lot of things, actually. 

Eventually she figured out that mandrakes weren't a critical ingredient, and the reaction still worked if she left them out. She had to increase the other reagents she used, however. "Let's see, I know I have it somewhere. …Aha!" Pulling out a neatly folded piece of printed parchment, the small oni presented it to him. When unfolded, the title read in flowery cursive print: 'How to Care for Your Goldfish Plant'. There was the typical congratulatory message upon being the new owner of this proud specimen of a hybrid, and listed the benefits of goldfish plants as pets. After, there was a series of drawings–not done by the mage herself–and descriptions on the plant-animal's care. To summarize, goldfish plants only needed the same nutrients as a normal plant thanks to its borrowed plant physiology. However it could filter air much more quickly and effectively than a fish or plant, and was essentially immune to over-watering. It needed sunlight and rich, moist soil. Waterings did not have to be frequent, as you could give it as much as you wanted in one sitting. Depending on the plants used in its creation, humidity and climates it preferred would vary. For this mute variety Myouga had used some tropical foliage from Laeto, so it liked warm temperatures and high humidity with less intense sunlight. The leaves and stem were thick and glossy, granting durability.

"There's a recipe for how to feed your goldfish plant on the back! They're not picky, so they only need one type of food mixture for all seasons. I think I gave Angela my secret combination for how I set up the alchemical fusion, so if you wanna know you'll have to ask her." She gave a wink along with that cheeky grin she was well-known for. "This one's a tropical type, so don't use this recipe mix for the 'Forest Fairy Purple' variety or the "Hiafae Hoarfrost' one. Every other variety should be fine though!"
