High above the work room Canelux was full, her pale light magnified by the Occulus as it filter through the clear crystal dome. Specially arranged for this moment, the work room had been rearranged, the workbench and all the other furnishings had been pushed up against the wall to make room for a single full length ornate mirror that looked as though it was made of liquid silver. Painted upon the floor with silver and salt was an arcane circle, pulsing a faint gold, as though it mimicked a distant heartbeat. Candles illuminated the circle around the Keeper as he knelt before the mirror, before him several curious items laid across the floor; a vial containing some of the few remaining drops of Memory Dew, two Soul Shard fragments, and an ornate jar emblazoned with the insignia of the Goddess of Life, Angela. Inside the jar were the crucial elements to what he hoped to do.
As the midnight hour approached, Drae cut the tip of his finger with a knife and drew a symbol upon the smooth surface of the mirror. Once done, he stepped back and knelt back down in the candle circle. He began chanting, softly beneath his breath. A breeze picked up around him, and the candle light flickered for as he continued his arcane chant. The Soul Shards and the Memory Dew began to glow and float slightly above the ground. Drae opened the vial of dew and poured it over the shards before he picked up the ornate jar. From it, he poured out the essence that Angela had given him for this task; a potent mixture of the Breath of Life, Life's Essence, and Tears of Emotion. When it came into contact with the Shards and Dew, there was a flash of light as the ingredients came together to form a pulsing golden stone, The stone hovered above Drae's head in front of the mirror. Still the chanting continued, and the blood rune upon the shimmering glass glowed an arcane green. Around the rune, an image began to appear, the rune in the place of what would have been the heart of the pale white figure that began materializing. Long fine boned limbs, an ample bust, full lips and the sharp features and slightly pointed ears of a half-elf and long straight locks slowly formed in the image within the glass. As the blank picture of the woman became complete, the golden stone flashed, and the shimmering silver on the frame of the mirror poured onto the surface of the mirror in streams that glistened in the light cast about the room, collecting around the image and creating a tangible mold. Still the green rune pulsed, matching the pulse of the golden stone. Drae chanting grew louder, the streaming silver collecting more, creating a smooth shell around the white image in the mirror. The chant ended with a shout, and the stone flew forward colliding with the green rune upon the silver cast form. There was a bright flash, and everything in the mirror shattered like glass, as though something broke free. The bright light faded and the candles blew out as the glittering form of the woman floated suspended in front of the mirror before it slowly fell to the ground. The mirror behind reflected the scene as a pale skinned woman gently fell to the ground in front of Drae, hair long and straight and skin as white as freshly fallen snow. For a moment there was no sound, and the form upon the ground remained still as death.
A sharp gasp filled the air as the Breath of Life filled her lungs, and she laid upon the cool stone sucking in her first gulps of air. Slowly she tried to lift herself on her new limbs, and gently, Drae reached out and took her hand. Upon his touch, her skin became a soft unblemished peach, eyes a silvery blue-green, her cheeks tinged pink. Her previously paper white hair became as black and as shiny as ink.
"Master?" the voice was raw and raspy at first use, but still it made Drae's mouth split into a smile, his silver eyes flashing in triumph.
"Yes, I am your Master, Adraejen Porthyrius," he said. He waved his hand over her, and from it tendrils of midnight blue satin covered her body, cladding her in a stylish vest dress, leggings and black boots. "And you, my dear, are my Avatar. Your name, will be Iris, and I have much to teach you…."
