She smiled as she learned she had impressed a god. she sat up as he said that little poses a threat to her. it was true and she was thankful for it. even in her human form she was not as venerable as most the two legends she fights corse they do not know that.
She thought about his offer. she tinder not to stay in one place long but she felt safe hear and needed all the help she could get. she decided she would take the offer.
"Thank you, I think that would be nice." she said than yawned. she was glad to be shown a room and went strait for the bed. She almost immediately fell asleep. Memories haunted her sleep. memories of the day she was kicked out. the day she learned of her owners death and the time a dragon twice her size had attacked her. she awoke on edge holding her throat. she was covered in sweet and looked around. she did not recognize the room but she relaxed she knew it was not one that posed a threat. once she released where she was she got up and got ready for the day.

Drae listened in interest, and slowly sipped his drink as he listened to her story. It sounded as though a lot of trouble had been gone through to frame Vinsue for the death. He had to admit he was impressed by her force of will to go back and help free others that were living in the same servitude. He could quite honestly say he wasn't sure if he would have done the same. And frankly, she wasn't wrong. Often times being a freedom-fighter of sorts often caused a lot of problems in one's life if their identity wasn't kept secret. That was every so called 'vigilante's' bane.
"I'm impressed. Not many would go back to risk helping others. That makes you a singularly brave dragoness. Though, by the same token, you are in fact a Dragon and therefore very little actually poses a threat to you, unless you are in your smaller more vulnerable form as you are now," he commented. "I'm glad that you managed to make your way here, and that I could offer you some assistance in your learning," he said. It wasn't lost on him how tired the dragoness was, and he quirked his head to the side.
"I tell you what. It is clear that you need more practice, and this place is the most conducive, and probably the safest place for you to practice. So, until you get a hold on your abilities, why don't you stay here in Tar Eisalae? I do have small rooms for those who come here for extensive study. I think you might find them quite comfortable," he offered. "You would be able to come and go as you please until you decide otherwise. What do you say to that?" he asked.

She listened to hem talk of how her story was not uncommon but that was just the beginning. she than listened to his story as she ate. she knew how a lot of it felt for she was known to cause trouble and many want her life. and love was a funny thing that can bring joy and scar as she learned when her love passed away in a fight. She smiled at his last statement. "Guess not with those types of responsibilities." she said and took a sip of her drink.
The meal was nice and refreshing. she sat the empty cup down
. "Ray ,my master's brother, killed him the next day and blamed me for his sudden disappearance. and many believed him which led to them hunting me. needless to say i learned defence and attack quickly and was relieved the day I learned he died." she said
"Then i started helping free those imprisoned and enslaved witch upset others. wich means if im not careful i end up in big truble. I was glad to learn to fight and it had saved me many times. but i enjoy knowledge and was in a library the day i discovered my second element. it destroyed 3 books and hurt a man that sat on the other side of the table and that also got me to look for help controlling it. since there were no helpful books there i thought if there was any they would be hear. and i am thankful for the help." she said than crossed her arms on the table then laid her head on top of them. between the meal and the training she was tired and needed to sleep.

"Unfortunately, my dear, you story is not a wholly uncommon one," Drae said with a sigh as he took a sip of his own drink. "Creatures such as yourself are often kept as high class pets, until something proves you to not be what your so called masters want," he said. "I know of a young Phoenix who suffered very similarly," he explained.
He looked amused when Vinsue asked about his background. "Me? Hell, that's not interesting. I came from Sidhiel, before anyone remembered it as Sidhiel," he said. "Grew up a half-breed in a purist society, and it bothered me. So I left when I was barely a teenager and went to live and work in Iria, where I excelled in the illegal trade business," he told her. "Didn't have a shred of real magical talent, not until I had reached adulthood and made a pact with a dangerous demoness in order to get back at the business partner who double-crossed me and tried to kill me," he said, giving the very general story. "The power she gave me ignited my dormant blood, and I was able to use magic from that point on," he said. "I got my revenge, I lived a dubious life as a scoundrel, and then I met Angela, the Goddess of Life, courted her, had a son with her, married her, and adopted her youngest children as my own. And then poof, one day the World Tree and the Voice decided that I needed to become the second Parvporan deity in this century," he chuckled. "Now I am here, trying to properly split my time as the Keeper of the Keys and Secrets of Knowledge and the Arcane and husband and father to Life," he chuckled. "There has certainly never been a dull moment."

She at first attempted to jerk away as his had touched her arm. She usually stayed away from people after she was freed when she was small. but she was quickly amazed as one room faded and a different room appeared. she took a seat as he looked around in thought. She at first watched him curious as to what he was doing then quickly noticed the flying food. She watched it combine and land on a plate that slid to her than looked back at Adraejen to see him pouring a mug and placed it in front of her.
The smell made her mouth water and the ale was more than pleasing for it had been a bit since she had had a cup. She took a bite of the food. She liked the spice and flavor. She looked at him as he asked where she came from. she swallowed her bite before answering. "I do not actually know." it was truth as she was raised by a rich man that later kicked her out because she lacked her breath powers and could not fly. but that was years ago. "i was raised by a human tell i was 16 and was than kicked out of the house. ever since i have wandered about." she than took a sip of the ale and put the glass back down. "And you?"

"My dear, this may be a Library, but it is also a Temple, and therefore has living quarters and a fully stocked kitchen because I spend the majority of my time here," he chuckled. He lightly placed a calloused hand on her arm and they were instantly transported to the kitchens of the temple.
"There we are," he said as he straightened his robes and motioned for her to take a seat on a nearby stool. "Now then," he said looking around, scratching his chin. "Ah yes, that should do," he said before he waved his hands around almost nonchalantly. Different foods flew through the air and began combining to create a light meal that would be tasty but was very specific to a dragon's diet and physiology. The completed meal landed on a plate that slid across the central wooden preparation counter to come to rest in front of Vinsue. The smell of the meal wafted up and held a touch of spice to it, which Drae complimented with a nice mug of ale that he filled by hand and placed down on the counter in front of the dragoness before he sat down, and a bowl of Abedian curry materialized in front of him.
"Now, tell me, where do you hail from, Vinsue?"

Slowly she was getting the hang of it. she was a bit tired but she was focused on learning how to control her new element. She was glad to be wearing a simple brown robe with lose long sleeves which she had pulled up to show most of her arms. seeing the man raise his hands she put out the plasma ball she was playing with and gave him a questioning look as she felt the air lose its charge. her face changed as he said brake which meant he was not correcting her but telling her her body needed to rest before she got hurt.
She was not quite ready to stop for she felt like she was starting the hang of it yet she did not protest do to her body fully agreeing despite her will. She was a bit shaky which in itself was a sign she should have stopped a bit ago and was no doubt the reason she was told to rest. She thought it was funny the way her human four would sweat and the way the light shone on her snow white skin which was now a bit red.
"Well at least now i have something to work with when i get back home and have extra time on my hands." she was glad to know know what she needed to do yet she was a bit disappointed to have not mastered more like she did with her fire.
"Wow" she said it was hard to believe this man had been using magic less than a tenth of her life and was quite good at it.
"I know this is a library and all but you would not happen to have something to drink and or perhaps eat would you."

It was after all a learning process. Drae remained patient with Vinsue as she continued to practice the form of Galvanization weaving. She was doing well in the aspect that the plasma magic was coming to her a little more easily, as far as forming it, but the basic flow of being able to control it was still coming. And it was to be expected. After all, very few people could master something immediately upon learning it. It would take a lot of practice, just as it had when she had been training with fire, if not moreso because it was not her first element. Magic at least came to her naturally.
He raised his hands to her, indicating that she should stop, before he diffused the area of the electrical surge that lingered in the air.
"Take a break," he instructed her, and indicated for her to sit down. "The more tired you get, the more likely you are to lose control," he warned. "Don't get too disappointed if you don't get this the first day," he said reassuringly. "Skills like this sometimes take years to master," he admitted. "I know mages who are still trying to learn control over elements, and I'll be frank with you, up until about… twelve or so years ago I couldn't do magic at all," he told her flatly.

she knew that the element was dangerous but never thought of it harming her. She was glad to have a teacher but was now a bit more nervous and started to tense a bit. Fluid and direct she said to herself than tried to copy what he did. She was not as fluent or direct and she quickly lost control of her ball of energy. Seeing she lost her control of it she quickly put it out. She took in a deep breath and slowly let it out trying to refocus. She than remade the plasma ball and tried again. She did a bit better but it still was a fail.

Drae did not interrupt, nor did he step in to correct her. She was doing what she needed to, and it took a few moments before anything happened. This of course, was a different technique than what she was used to. At first a flame appeared, which was a very good sign. Fire and lightning often went hand in hand. All lightning was supercharged and super heated air, and fire was created by super heated air. Once one had a mastery of fire, it became easier to handle lightning, though it was a very fickle and dangerous element to try and toy with. Unlike most other elements, lightning had just as much a chance of coming back and harming the caster because the caster would open themselves up as a conduit for the energy. And if energy flowed the wrong way, it could be fatal.
The fire began to spark in her hands until suddenly she was holding a ball of pure plasmic energy, that crackled and arced in her hands. Drae nodded in the affirmative. "That's it. Some people claim that Lightning is Fire's purest form, and I might be inclined to agree. It is also the most unpredictable and volatile of elements, and is most likely to bring the most immediate harm to the caster, and it will happen in the blink of an eye. It likes to take the quickest most direct route to a place, and sometimes, if done wrong, that can mean straight through your head, or straight through your heart, both of which are typically fatal," he warned her. He stepped back.
"When weaving Galvanic energy with motion, you must be fluid and direct," he said as he demonstrated to her the motions most common for weaving electricity from magic. "But never let your motions cross your heart," he urged. "The current will be drawn there, and it will stop your heart dead. Send it through your shoulders and arms," he instructed. "Same goes for redirecting someone else's attack. You know you cross your heart when you make a promise? Lightning is NOT a promise."

She nodded at his explanation of her problem knowing he was right. She would not have been able to do the advanced move if she had not tried to make something far away catch flame. she simply called the wrong element and learned what it could do than spent a long time fixing it to something she may be able to use. She formed a cage with her hands as he instructed and tried to focus some of the energy in the cage of her hands.
For the first few minutes there was nothing. than a ball of fire formed. she quickly made it disappear and continued trying. She closed her eyes and cleared her mind than opened tham and tried to focus the energy in her hands. She was quite delighted to see a ball of electricity start to form in her hands.
"Like This?"

"Well then, Vinsue, nice to officially meet you," Drae said simply and moved over to stand beside the dragoness to watch. The first thing he noticed was that the young dragoness had completely neutralized the electrical field he had created to help her facilitate her energy. That was interesting, almost as interesting as how she created a strong enough Electric Field around one of the training dummies and made it quite literally explode.
He raised an eyebrow as she explained her troubles and he nodded slowly.
"Okay then. From what I am understand, you have a simple problem. If anything, you kinda started… well, running before you even learned to crawl," he explained. "What you just did, was create and electrical field. That's actually quite advanced. What you haven't mastered, however, is the basic control of the energy," he said. He stepped in front of her and made a cage with his fingers in and focused Galvanizing energy into his palms. "Follow my lead. Create a cage with your hands and focus that same energy you created over there on the dummy, but focus it into your hands."

She watched as he showed some of what he could do with the element. She was glad he could not be hurt which took away that little bit of fear. She could fill the static in the air as her hair started to stand on end.
"I go by Vinsue." she answered before unknowingly neutralizing the energy around her.
She knew how to do 2 things at the moment one she had learned by practice and one she does often by accident. She turned to one of the targets. She stared at it tell the static was almost visible. After a few second she closed her eyes and the target exploded.
"That took a long day to get right." she said then turned back to him.
"Though I have a bad habit of shocking things thew touch. which is one of the things i would like more control over." this she had no control over and could not show on command.

Drae nodded. So it wasn't as though she had neglected the practice of her Galvanization abilities, but that she hadn't developed them until just recently. It actually explained a lot.
"My dear, I am the God of Arcane Magics. I know control of all the elements, though maybe not as strongly as some of the other Gods who specialize in certain powers, like Mother Earth or He who Walks with Light," he pointed out to her. For emphasis, he raised his hands and blue, green and purple lightning lance out from his fingertips and crackled through the magically supercharged air. "And while I am within the walls of Tar Eisalae, I am invulnerable," he added reassuringly. The lightning show ceased and he lowered his hands. His long black hair started to stand up because of the static discharge, but he ran his fingers through the raven locks and collected the excess energy and pulled it out of his hair into a small lightning ball that he rolled between his fingers before he flicked away, and a shower of arcs and sparks exploded from a nearby target.
"Now, before we get started, would you mind giving me a name I could call you by?" he asked her. Now, Tar Eisalae had already informed him of her name, but he wanted to be courteous. "And, please, do show me what you already know," he insisted.

she was a bit surprised that she was in the presence of the keeper of wisdom, a god at that and had not realized it tell he said he ran the place. She handed him the book as he reached for it and keep looking. She stopped and looked at him as he made noises usually involved in high thinking and judging.
"Well kind of born with them they came with age fire at 16 and the other came a few weeks back." she than watched him close the book and reshelf it. As he said she had the wrong approach and turned she followed.
She stepped onto one of the plates as he did. once it started moving she almost lost her balance but quickly gained it back.
"how?" she started to ask how he knew she was dragon but he continued answering his own question. she than stepped off as he did and followed him through an arch way.
"Yes, I practised tell i could not. But I had a teacher that got me started." though her teacher was human she still learned a lot from her.
She stopped as she saw the size of the room.
"So you know a bit on Galvanization Weaving? And i can not hurt you?" she said as she walked to where he stood. The last thing she wanted was to hurt someone who was trying to help.

"Who, me?" Adraejen asked putting his hand to his chest. "Nothing much, really. I just run this place," he explained. There was a crackle of energy around them as the magic of the Temple Library responded to his claim. Truthfully, he did a lot more than that. He had amassed the collection, had built the Temple itself, among other things. Of course, he didn't want to scare off this visitor. He looked at the book that she had chosen and he reached out to take it and look through it. He leafed through the book quickly and nodded, making interested noises as he did.
"You say that you were born with these abilities, yes?" he asked her, looking up from the book briefly. He made a thoughtful face and snapped the book closed. "Then this won't help you. These books are meant to help those not born with innate abilities for such things. For you, we need a different approach," he said flatly and lifted the book back up toward the shelf, and it levitated from his hand and flew back to its place among the other books. He waggled a finger at her and turned. "Come along," he said simply, waving for her to follow him to the levitation plate that would take them back to the main floor of the Temple Library.
"Now, when you were a dragonling what was it you did you master Fire?" he asked her as he stepped onto the levitation plate. The rune beneath his feet glowed purple and he waited for her before the plate started its descent. Down on the main floor of the Temple Library, Drae turned to the Northern Archway. "Correct me if I am wrong, but you practiced. You practiced until you were out of flames to breath, right?"
Through the Northern Archway was a large open area that served as the Practice Rooms. "So, naturally, you just need the proper place to facilitate a proper practice," he said, motioning all around them. "And I am here to help."

"actually it is a field i need help in." She said to his explanation of the codex. She put the book back do to it not being the one she needed.
"Well my element is that of Galvanization and fire but i mastered the flame when I was little. This is still new to me and i can't control it yet so I seek knowledge on how to control it." She pulled out a book written in Draconic. She flipped through it and smiled it would teach her a bit of what she wanted so she closed it and let it rest in her arm as she looked for more.
"You asked a Question which makes it my turn. So what do you do hear?"
Author: Porthyrius, Posted: Sun Mar 26, 2017 5:32 PM, Post Subject: Knowledge (O)
Adraejen chuckled lightly and motioned to the thread that she held. "The Codex is funny that way. But it responds mostly by the words spoken to it. If you read a topic out loud, then it assumes that is the topic you are looking for," he explained. "If it wasn't the topic you really wanted, all you have to do is go search again. However, if you are satisfied with this field of study, then there is no harm done," he smiled.
He watched the dragoness look at a beginner's book for Galvanization Weaving, and then decided she need something a little more advanced. He looked at her in interest.
"You clearly know something about Galvanization Weaving, and are seeking improvement. So, indulge my curiosity, is it the concepts and principles that you are having difficulty with, or is it the actual practice part?" he asked her, his silver eyes shining.

she almost jumped at the voice and turned to see who had spoken. Seeing what looked like a simple librarian she turned back to the shelf.
"Actually I was just looking at the book and it lead me to this. though now that I have found it i guess i was searching for it." She was amazed at the amount of stuff on that subject alone.
She had the ability but still had very little control of it. she was glad to find this cause she was scared she would accidentally hurt more than she already had. seeing a beginners guide she took it off the shelf and started reading through it. seeing she was past that stage she put the book back and kept looking tell she found one for the intermediate level and took it down.

Adraejen was making charts of the stars up in the Occulus when he felt the familiar crackle of energy that always came about when a visitor came to Tar Eisalae. He paused and set down his work and moved back down the stairs of the Occulus to go and see who had come to visit. He slicked back his long black hair, and straightened his robes. He looked more like a librarian or just a plain old mage than anything else. He didn't exactly shine the way Naota did though he had though about giving himself some awesome looking runic markings, but he didn't want to look like he was trying too hard. Of course, then he reminded himself that he had spent his entire mortal career by just looking good, and using his silvered tongue to impress people. He didn't have to look Godly.
So, he straightened his robes again and stepped onto the blue-runed levitation plate and began the descent down to the Temple Library. In the mean time, Tar Eisalae was filling him in on who had come to visit. Looked like a human, but looks were not everything, and Drae was well aware. He was being visited by a dragoness, and apparently who was looking up how control Galvanizing energy. Quite interesting. He stopped the levitation plate on the level where the collection on controlling the various elements was located and casually leaned against a shelf and waited.
When she appeared, he smiled charmingly. "Seeking the Knowledge on how to control Galvanizing Energy, Milady?"

Vinsue had came to the temple to see if it was real or just a rumor. Seeing the temple she turned to her human form. She walked to the door and stopped. she pushed on it but nothing happened.
"I only know the secret" she read to herself and smiled, quickly noticing the I was sticking out more than the rest and pressed it. She quickly stepped back as she heard the hidden gears start moving the door. Once the door was fully opened she stepped through the doorway and started walking. she let her hood down as she started seeing the carvings in the walls.
She stopped before the arch and started reading the names and dates. She quickly noticed it had been awhile synce anyone had dared to enter this place. She stepped through the arch and looked around at the bookshelves and stopped at the tree. she walked towards it tell she saw the large book that sat before it. It opened by itself witch sparked her curiosity. She walked over to it and read the first topic word aloud. "
Electric control." Soon after a sting, almost like that of a spider's web, appeared.
She placed her hand on it and slowly started to follow it.
