The newest god choices were interesting picks indeed. “My lady Angela we are close to Flidais now.” The magic changed as the area became blessed no doubt by the new power that resided there. Angela crossed her leg as her hand laid on her pregnant belly.

“Continue forward… Any obstacles I will make sure open.” That was the power of the gods, after all, she had no doubt that Zanar would open the way if he knew she was coming or another god for that matter. Her carriage was pulled by a majestic white nightmare with a golden flaming mane. The carriage was the same as the stained glass one that was in her own realm.

As promised the gate opened and she could hear the roar of the wilds almost immediately. It hadn’t been that long ago that her beloved Moliira had been the Goddess of Beasts but this man would do. She had faith in Zanar.

There was a large group of people waiting for the arrival. Her clergy member stopped the carriage and got off his seat to open the door. “Introducing the Mother, Angela Ro–” There was a hand that came out of the carriage that waved him off as if introducing her didn’t need to be done.

“Please don’t… That is cringe-worthy.” Taking Angela’s hand he helped her down after bowing for the disrespect. For a moment out two Angela looked about. “Just about what I would expect from a person like you Zanar.” It was more like she was feeling it out. Her bare feet were even stretched and feeling the earth beneath them. “I do hope my coming here hasn’t ruined any plans for the day. I just HAD to come and see one of our newest deities. As you can imagine my job gets very boring right now.” She patted her pregnant belly. “Can’t do much but bother people these days or be driven insane by my twins.”

Coming forward the redhead hugged both Zanar and Kalyani. “You know I am still cross that you managed to kill my champion Kalyani… but I do compliment you on your skillet skills. I don’t think there is a fiercest woman in all the realm than Kalyani. Consider yourself lucky Zanar.”

Inside the keep was a mess as everyone hurried to prepare the feast for the celebration, He had felt the Goddess’ enter his realm and decided that she would be a guest of honor. He wasn’t surprised at all that she was the first one to visit, after all, she was the one that healed that rift that had come between him and Kalyani. He requested one of his rangers to get another seat at the head table before turning to exit the keep.

The doors closed behind him so the final preparations could be made as he made his way down the stone steps of the keep. Kalyani was already waiting near the gate as he had warned her of Angela’s arrival ahead of time. He made his way to stand by her side along with a contingent of rangers and some of the hunters in the keep to welcome the Goddess and open the gate. He would not make a close ally or any fellow deity be judged by it.

When his ears picked up the sounds of the carriage coming through the woods, he waved his hand to dispel the magic that sealed the gate shut and slowly it opened inward to allow the carriage passage to the inner walls. The sound of the Gate of the Wilds rang through as it accepted another onto Flidais’ lands.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at her dismissing her clergy from introducing her. He let them take in the sights of the place and to feel it out before he said anything. He let her take her time, the only sounds being the flutter of his coat and the ranger’s cloaks as a gentle breeze broke through. “What can I say, it fits the needs and it’s homely.” He replied to her when she finally spoke up.

He returned the hug after she teased him about ruining the day. He hadn’t realized she was pregnant until she patted her stomach. “Oh I do consider myself lucky, rather have no other woman by my side.” He stated with a smile looking over at Kalyani. “Now if I may be a little formal here. Welcome to Flidais, the Eternal Hunting Grounds,” as he said that the rangers standing behind him bowed and the sounds of the wilds behind the wall seemed to cry out as if to welcome her themselves. “My gates will always be open to you.”

He signaled one of his men to come forth and asked him to show Angela’s clergy to the stables for their wagon. “Now that that is out of the way, the celebration can really start. It may be an old tradition, but throwing a feast is always a pleasant idea is it not?” He joked with her and lead them to the keep.

Kalyani gave Zanar a sly look as he spoke about her. There was a smirk on her face and Angela was quick to notice it. God young kids made her feel gross. Still, though it was pleasant to see love was good and alive in this cruel world. “Oh, if you very well must be formal with me.” Angela flashed him her own smile as she looked around once he announced the name of the realm. Angela bowed in return to the rangers behind him. “Well thank you… At least one of your has manners… The other was raised poorly.” Kalyani scoffed a bit before smirking back at the goddess.

“Oh I am just starving. This baby is really taking it out of me. You know she does the oddest things to my magic. The other day I sneezed and turned Adraejen’s hair pink… Then an hour later I sneezed again and his hair fell out!” She saw the rangers back up and chuckled. “I will try and keep myself contained I promise. We decided to name her Myrra…”

“That is a good name,” Kalyani complimented as she stood on the other side of Zanar as they walked into the hall for the feast.

“I would like to think so. All of Adraejen’s children have beary bad tempers.” Kalyani groaned a bit. “Adraejen is a werebear like you.” Angela let out a chuckle. Everyone got settled into their seats as the food came out and the drinks were poured. Angela looked amused with it all as she drank some juice. “I would like to toast Zanar real quick.”

She pushed her seat out and put up her cup. “Here is to Zanar’s ascension to godhood… and double congratulations on your child. At least we know that part of you worked before godhood.” There was a simultaneous spitting of everyone in the room and Kalyani choking on a piece of food she had been eating.

“Well good, because I am sure the final preparations have been completed by now. There will be plenty so taking your fill until you can’t no more.” He couldn’t help but laugh at the story and that his men took a step back as they made their way to the keep. He didn’t blame them though, cause who knows what could’ve happened. “I’ll hold you to that one.” He joked and pushed opened the doors to the hall.

The large fire pit in the middle of the room illuminated the finely crafted stonework of the hall, as the tables were set and all those in attendance took their seats. “It is indeed a fine name, congratulations to you both.”

Zanar didn’t understand why Kalyani groaned at Angela’s statement until she explained to him that Adraejen was also a werebear like himself. “Well hopefully it isn’t so unbearable,” he joined in on the wordplay but could easily feel the cold glare he was getting. Escorting the both of them to the head table and took his seat with both on either side. After they got settled the food and drink quickly came from the kitchens to great them.

He looked around at what was now his. He had made sure that the atmosphere of the place was a friendly almost family like. He achieved it well and hoped that he could keep it this way. He took a drink of the ale that was poured for him as Angela requested a toast. He took a drink thinking she was done with a short toast, congratulating him on his ascension. The drink did not go down after he heard the second part of the toast. Immediately he spit the drink out to the side as did most everyone there.

“What?!,” He exclaimed his face also a red for her mentioning other things as well as the announcement that Kalyani was pregnant. “You could’ve also left out that last part!,” He stated and then turned to Kalyani who was recovering from choking on a bite of food she ate. He didn’t know how to react to this news, and he could hear the commotion of everyone talking around him as well.

He put his head into his hands and a smile crept out from his surprised face. He was shocked but more than anything he was happy. He pushed his chair back and stood up, as he did silence fell upon the hall. “Well other than this goddess trying to embarrass me,” He glared over at Angela and grabbed his mug and raised it proudly in the air “I’m gonna be a father!!” A roar of cheers ran out as he said that and smiled at Kalyani again. “Now let us enjoy the feast!”
He sat back, he reached over and grabbed Kalyani’s hand. “Did you know about that?” he asked curiously.

"I actually doubt she did know," a voice sounded from behind the happy couple through the roar of cheers and celebration at the new God's good fortune. The first of the three werebear deities stood there, raven hair slicked back and sharply dressed to impress. Silver eyes flashed in good humor as the lycan half-elf bowed slightly in respect to Zanar as the host and new deity. 

"Though, I wouldn't dare speak for Kalyani. It would be unwise on my part, I know," he chuckled before he lightly took his step-daughter's hand and kissed her knuckles. "Forgive my sudden appearance. I would have come with Angela had I been aware she was coming at all. But the senses started tingling that she was making some of her awful bear puns again," he said giving Zanar a full-powered charming smile. He turned back to Angela and moved to join her, while lightly smacking her on the back of her head. 

"Way to spring a surprise on the happy couple," he said with a raised eyebrow.
