The weather was as perfect as it could be in Suishō no Kyūden as Aikane walked. The sun was out, there was not a cloud in the sky, and it was neither too warm nor too cool. Taking a deep, refreshing breath of the fresh air that surrounded her, Aikane stretched out her arms with closed eyes and a slight smile on her face. She felt happy here; relaxed and free, being far from her schoolwork. She was taking another break to do some soul searching. She had been studying what gods she would be interested in following, finding for herself Asklêpios, the god of healing and medicine. She also discovered and decided to follow Tyche, the goddess of fortune and fate, as well as Hygeia, the goddess of good health. There was also Victoria, the goddess of victory, in which Aikane decided to worship to grant her better chances in any physical disputes she may have.

Opening her eyes again and beginning again to walk towards a forest of great towering trees that shone in the sunlight due to the fact their trunks were made of crystal and jade and their trees were made of gems, Aikane eventually approached The Crystal Forest and put a hand on one of the crystal trunks. It was cool but inviting, and when she pulled her fingers away there were no smudges left behind. She looked straight up at the gems that replaced the leaves of this not-so-ordinary tree, wondering what they'd be worth but giving no second thought as to steal them. No doubt stealing from such a peaceful and trusting place would make the gods of such an area angry and wrathful. Not that it'd be possible to even climb the 'tree' and do so. There were, however, gems lying on the forest floor perhaps from when there was a time that the winds became aggressive and knocked the 'leaves' down. Aikane moved over to a green one that the light glimmered off of in a particular way, piquing her interest. She picked it up and examined it more closely, noticing there was not a chip off it nor a single scratch. It was also slightly warm in her hand from sitting in the sun, but something about the gem made her feel like there was some sort of connection to be had between them. Putting the piece away into her satchel, she traveled further into the forest until she decided she was deep enough within not to be bothered by other visitors.

Sitting beneath a crystal tree, not directly in the sun, she sat up straight and closed her eyes, relaxing her shoulders and evening out her breath. Slowing her thoughts, she entered a peaceful trance in which no particular thought prodded at her mind. She knew the drill of meditating often, though this was the first time she was able to do so in such a beautiful, quiet place.
