Lianna stood before the marble archway, pondering her next move. Roses had twined their way around the arch, bright red blooms completely covering the stone. Her slender hand reached out to touch one of them, gently cupping it in her palm. She had heard rumors of these portals; they connected many parts of the world to the temple of the Goddess of Fertility and Earth. A question had been eating away at her since she had fallen through the portal into this strange land. Something was missing, even if she didn't know what it was.

She could never live with herself if the broken pieces of her heart were from missing children. She heard that if she went to Angela's temple that one could see past or future children. The information she received would either break her or give her reason to keep going. Lianna sighed and released the silk-like flower before stepping into the archway. Cold pressed around her as she was transported in complete darkness. There was a sense of movement then her stomach lurched to a stop; there was nothing but dark. Panic rose, and Lianna spun around trying to see anything, her aura turned red representing the fear that smothered her. As she rounded, a glow started in the distance. She made her way to what looked like spiral steps carved from green jade.

The steps floated in the middle of darkness and seemed very precarious, but Lianna knew she had to ascend. As she took her first step, a chill ran up her spine. There was obviously something mystical about this, but she wasn't sure how it worked, so she simply kept going. As her foot hit the eighth step, she glanced up and saw two children standing before her, stark opposites. One was male, and one was female, where one was all dark shadows the other seemed to radiate light. Together the two exuded completeness as if one couldn't exist without the other despite the differences. With a gasp, Lianna saw in her mind's eye a stone keep with a man of dark hair surrounded by a golden glow. Beside him, the two children she saw before her hung on each of his arms only around seven years of age. The girl with white hair looked at her as if seeing through the memory and instantly Lianna remembered it all.

A tear leaked down her cheek, and Lianna knew she was a wife, was a mother. Azedeh, Rowan, and Azaleah were her family. She had no idea how she would find a way back, but she sure as hell would do her best to do it. Lianna stepped up closer to the image before her, savoring the detail of her son's black hair. He had always looked more like Azedah, but Lianna could see her lips. She reached out a tentative hand but passed through her son's cheek. With a deep breath she knew what to do next, she had to see this Goddess. Perhaps Angela could tell her more of this vision, or maybe she knew more about the strange portals that had brought her here. Surely a deity would be able to show her more of this strange land. Lianna charged up the steps, finally feeling relief in the memories she held once again.

It wasn't every day that someone peeked her interest when they entered her temple. She watched through a scry bowl in her study. It was a large crystal bowl with very special water. You could say that the goddess herself had collected the water from the World Tree.  She listened and watched for a long time before turning away from the bowl.

The girl was quite obviously looking for her. She pushed open her study door and was met with her little red head. She smiled and patted her head saying there was business. "Go bother your sisters little one. I promise that we will play later but for now there is a woman who needs my help." The little one was understanding as she kissed her mother and ran off.

There were screams off in the distance, probably from chaos. Angela chuckled and entered her throne room. She sat on her finely weaved throne and crossed her legs. Large pillows of velvet and lace appeared. It was like a fine royal palace in Abed. She smirked and snapped her fingers making the girl fall into the pillows.

"You won't have to complete the rest of my trials. You have been through enough." Her green eyes read the woman like a book. Her aura was all over the place. Though that was probably due to Angela. She looked over at a clergy member. "Lavender tea if you will my dears. This poor thing has had an awful fall." Literally.

Looking to the aura filled girl she smiled. "You've come a long way to see me? You wish to ask questions about things you do not know about. Children? A husband maybe? These things I see in your heart. I will help you where I can but not all favors are free child. What is it that you can offer me for such information? In this world rarely are things free."

With each step, Lianna took more memories flashed before her eyes. It was a volley where each one pierced her heart. There was no denying that she had a family. No doubt at all that there were people who relied on her that were in some other world. How was she to return, should she return? Each assault on her heart left her feeling ragged, her aura turned a dark blue as sadness swept over her. Just as she felt she could not take another step, the stairs vanished, and she fell. With a gasp of fear, Lianna tumbled down through the air, her blonde hair flying all around her. With a soft thump, she landed on a pile of pillows facing a raised dais.

Before her sat a woman with striking red hair that tumbled down her shoulders and covered her ample bosom in soft curls. The unnerving part was the green eyes that had red rimming the pupil; those eyes peered down at her. Lianna knew her aura was flashing through colors, red for fear, deep blue for her sadness, and yellow for surprise. With a deep breath, she tried to steady herself realizing she was in the presence of the goddess Angela. This was the woman she had come here to see, but at least she had been saved from the onslaught of memories.

Angela spoke to her in an almost motherly tone, before asking a clergyman to get them tea. Then the real reason she had come here was spoken of frankly. Lianna wasn't sure what she could offer the Goddess as she had nothing to her name. It had taken everything she owned to get simply to the temple. When you fall through a portal with nothing but the clothes on your back, there isn't much to spare in the way of riches. Though as Lianna thought, she realized this Goddess would have no use for riches, it was something else she sought.

"I'm Lianna, and I see you know why I'm here already. I'm not sure what it is I can give you, I can offer my light or perhaps look into my Aurai history for information." Lianna offered weakly. Her aura turned back to it's neutral soft golden color and she ponderd. "Is there a task you wish me to do? I need to know where my family is and at least if they are holding they're own without me. I have pieces of my memory, but I don't know how old they are." Pain gripped her at the thought of not even knowing how old her children were. Lianna had always wanted to have a family and to raise children. Now she had both but had no way to do anything with it.
