It hadn’t been too long since Raeguel had arrived upon Angela’s grounds, but he had made sure to keep to him for the most part, aside from the frequent visits to his children. He still didn't feel too comfortable around others, still haunted by his past transgressions. There was little chance in his mind of being able to rejoin society at this point, if at all and it was better this way. But the twins' presence helped him little by little each day. They were still at bedrest, recovering from their ailments, even though they wanted to be around him outside of the room. Unfortunately he knew that the Goddess wouldn’t be too fond of the idea for the time being and stayed with them for as long as possible until they went back to sleep. There was more appreciation for their existence than ever before. They were the light of his darkened life, and he would remain on this earth if not to solely protect them from all evil. Even if they were at the age now where they were able to defend themselves. He knew what possible dangers lurked in a world that they were still ill prepared for quite well, for he was once one of them.

Outside of that, the vampire stayed hidden away in the library of all places, taking to a table far from the sight of others. Typically he could be found in a long black hooded cloak to mask his identity and in the company of several books and parchments littering all over the table. His eyes constantly scanned through page after page, pacing through them as to get a better understanding of this world he was now residing in a deep trance like state. Perhaps Angela didn’t have the greatest collection of information around, but she had enough for him and was grateful for what she did have.

Much of this world seemed parallel to the one he had once called home, yet there were vastly many differences in Revaliir’s history. The deities were similar yet different, just as his host had stated about doppelgangers, the information about the different cities and regions perplexed him at times and so did the tells of how the world had formed. The acknowledgement of Two World Trees stirred his interest as did the Godslayer War that had claimed a parthenon of deities but not without drawbacks taking place first. Each page filled his hungry mind, but for every question that was addressed and answered, two more took their place.

On this particular day, it was practically the same as usual; he had visited the twins, who were nearly at good health and would soon be allowed to leave the bed and continue on with their training; Lucian especially as he wanted to continue from where they left off with his swordsmanship training. Raeguel remembered his promise well and agreed to it once he was back at good health. Afterwards, he ventured to the library where his studies awaited him, along with a cup of tea provided by one of the clergy members likely. In front of him was a large book that mapped out the region of Parvpora; a place of great interest to him was that of Abed. It’s culture was one that he had never heard of before and also it was an enigma in comparison to its neighboring cities as it was a place that still worshiped their dead gods. Instead of rushing through it, he took his time feeding his crimson eyes with the knowledge and took a few sips of the hot tea.

One couldn’t help but to ponder why still pay homage to them seeing that the rest of the continent no longer believed. At least if they were praying to the gods that still resided, it would have made some sense. Taking another long sip, he got up from his seat and started to walk through the aisles of beautifully carved bookshelves to seek out some more books to satisfy his mind for today.

Once again the White haired young woman had found herself in the library of Lady Angela's temple. Normally one would come to a library to study, but not her. Ever since her mind's awakening here in Revaliir from DaeLuin she had mostly secluded herself to the Library because of the old lingering feelings of security that books used to bring her. This place was her sanctuary to try and make sense of her very conflicting lives. When her mind from DaeLuin had arrived here it had seemed like it was a dream but it soon became apparent that that was not the case as two of the vampires from the gang like clan that tormented her neighborhood broke into her home and slaughtered her mother then started the torture of her. This traumatic even plus the smashing together of two minds had nearly left her unfixable as her mind had all but shattered. Lady Angela, who the Revaliir Lilithrie had a heartbreaking hatred for, Pieced her back together just enough and temporarily closed the door between the two minds, leaving the Apprentice to the Earth Goddess Lilithrie standing in charge. Slowly the door would open back up and she would have to deal with melding her two minds together properly. That process had started and was quite difficult she basically had two separate thought processes going on at once and was slowly starting to get used to it as time went on.

Her magic was a different story. In the world of Revaliir she had been told as a child she would never be able to use magic, something to do with her lineage, but when the other Lilithrie had come over, she had pulled her magic with her. She didn't know if it was because this body was not meant to be able to harness magical powers or because the change to world had thrown her off balance, but she was having enormous difficulties controlling her magic. It tended to just leak and burst out of her with a will of its own. Lady Angela had placed some charcoal seals upon her arms, legs, chest, and back to help control her magic. They were meant to be temporary but she had been having no progress in being able to hold in her magic alone so felt as if those seals were a part of her now as they always adorned her pale skin.

Her blue eyes were glazed over as she sat in one of the aisles between two bookshelves and stared blankly at the spines of the books in front of her. She was currently in the Political History of Magic and Magical Beings section with her knees to her chest and arms wrapped around her knees. Her long wavy white hair flowed over her shoulders like silk as she slowly rocked back and forth. She had taken to wearing slightly too large button up shirt with the long sleeves rolled up to her elbows and soft nicely fitting black pants. She seemed to have lost her shoes once again as well.

She had been hiding in the library for weeks now and it was a wonder she hadn't really run into anyone, until now that is. Her glazed over eyes suddenly sharpened as she felt an aura come into her sensing range. Her heart quickened, reacting before her mind could remember what the aura was. When she did flash backs of blood, screaming, her mother's snapped neck and accusing eyes staring at her…Then those red eyes…. She took a sharp intake of breath as the visions of her past faded back into just her mind and she frantically looked around. Then, without warning, a lava like burning sensation started boiling up from deep in her stomach. Anger? Rage from her inability to help the ones she loved when they needed her? She wasn't completely sure as to why but the icy fear now mixed with fire. She heard the quiet rustle of a cloak and soft footsteps approaching. She was terrified of both who they belonged to and of herself. She could feel the magic seals burning on her skin as they seemed to desperately try to unleash a magical hell upon who ever it was approaching. She had almost had enough courage to call out telling who ever it was to get away from her quickly, for their own safety….almost….

As a figure in a black cloak rounded to the bookshelves she was sitting between her time seemed to slow down to a near halt for her. From her position she could see their eyes…..

red eyes….

Vampires eyes…

Her own eyes darkened as she stared into those red eyes for several moments. Like there was another presence in the back of her mind, a very dark one that when you looked into her eyes, it reached out at you from their dark depths and attempted to pull you inside to your own little personal hell. In those few moments that time seemed to almost come to a stand still her mind raced as that dark presence that could be seen in her eyes was felt in her own mind. How could she have forgotten? This presence within her, she recalled its malice, its almost demonic feel. It was coming from within the void…her void… Rhen … She thought his name, the name of the one who had caused this presence without really meaning to. Back on DaeLuin she had helped a man who went by the name of Rhen be able to start controlling demonic magic that he had acquired when a demon's eye had been transplanted into his body. There had been the possibility of her having to end him so she had needed to be immersed in her void to fight. Her void sucked in all emotions or anything other than pure logic. Unfortunately this had been the time she also found out her magic was weak for some reason against demonic magic and the aura that demons radiate naturally that, if the demon is strong enough, can strip away a weak or open mind of other beings of all humanity and sanity. Her void had devoured the radiating aura as it came to her mind so she wasn't damaged, but then her void had suddenly withdrawn. Usually she had to be the one to force it back to its slumber. When she had mentally examined her void she found it had miraculously been filled with that demonic aura and that aura seemed to be sort of sentient in its own right somehow.

ANYWAYS that dark aura is what stared out from behind her eyes as the vampiric aura stirred it from the slumber it had been in since she had arrived. The rage, malice, and well just plain urge to cause pain and chaos radiated from the void in her mind, infecting her. Her eyes started to twitch, her muscles tensed as the fire within her boiled over. A growl emanated from deep within her throat.

Time suddenly was back to normal for her and she instantly was on her feet and pouncing at the cloaked figure her hand cocked back and just starting to thrust forward almost like she was going to hit him except her fingers seemed rigid and curled like she had claws and was going to try and tear his heart out from his chest.

All she could see was those red eyes seeming to glow from the shadows of the hood of the cloak…red eyes, vampires eyes…. vampires were bad her mind told her… those eyes needed to be gone, ripped out of their sockets and shoved into that fanged mouth. Animalistic instincts had taken over, fueled by that strange dark presence, she was in a territorial protectiveness mode. She would be killed before those red eyes took her family away from her again.

Arounding about the corners of the bookshelves, his gaze was ever wandering about, looking for a book to indulge himself into. Other than gaining some more knowledge, he suppose that it was a way for him to become lost in something other than this bleak reality he lived in. Each page would help to edge him away from his troubles, from the first to last. Only after he would reach the back cover would he need to seek out another tale, another document, anything to keep him away from the real world. At least then he couldn’t bring himself to remember every life he had stolen or manipulated for his falsebound dreams. Coming to a halt at one of the shelves, he looked and slid his finger across some books, quickly glancing along their titles in finding a story that could bring him some relief.

As he did so, Raeguel had a small creeping feeling that something was wrong here. But in Angela’s home, what threat could he possibly face, especially in the library of all places? With that in mind, the vampire returned to his venture, unsure of what had came over him. His eyes settled upon a thick book that looked to promise him a many moons’ worthy of studying. Taking hold of it, he started to make his way back to the table when the feeling came back to him again. There was someone here, at least that’s what he was thinking as he glanced around him. Not wanting to be bothered at this moment, Raeguel decided to ignore it once more and continue on his way. Perhaps there were some that didn’t like his presence here; he couldn’t help but to understand the reasons behind it.

By his own hands had he brought forth deaths of many and broken so much more. The darkness had left but the guilt had not- it had all still been his fault. If he was able to make the choice of death or joining the vampires back in his youth again, he  would have picked the former and spared all that he had harmed later on. He could see the table within feet of him as he came closer to the open area but what sounded like a growl caused him to halt once more and turn around. But by then, he had reacted too slow and fell onto the floor. Someone had pounced on top of him and inwardly he was cursing himself for the late reaction

His eyes shot towards the hand held high and before he could question why, they brought it down and struck him in the chest. He could feel nails digging through his clothing and into his flesh, blood beginning to run out from the injuries. Instincts kicked in and before he knew it, a hand lashed out around the woman’s neck, readying to break it. But then he heeded, regaining himself enough to stop from completing the action. The last thing he wanted was to start killing again. Instead he managed to throw her off of him and regain his footing. Panting, he looked over her for a few moments- she seemed familiar to him somehow. Perhaps she was another survivor of the portals? If so, then what had he done to her to be deserving of her wrath? Within some time as he prepared to defend himself should she attack again, he was looked at her face and became wide eyed.

“Lilithrie? Why are you doing this?” She was the last person he would expect to have attacked him from out of the blue. They may had been at odds with each other as far as he knew, but he wasn’t expecting something like this from her. Throwing the hood back from his head, he looked sternly at her with hand facing away from him, to show that he meant no harm, “Calm yourself down, what’s going on with you?” She wasn’t acting like one he had known back in their homeland. Something was off about her as if she couldn’t help but to attack him. But why? Whatever the reason, this situation had to be dissolved soon enough before one of them became seriously hurt.

He had fallen to the floor with her attack and she took full advantage of that as she straddled the vampire so his legs couldn't kick her. Her nails weren't long, but they were long enough that when they made contact she had enough force to really dig into the vampire. She felt pain shoot up her arms from her fingers as the force used was also enough to sprain in not break some of them. The blood coated her hand, sticking to her like her skin was trying to soak it up. The split mind she possessed was having difficulties figuring out any rational thought. The presence in the void seemed to be repressing any rational thoughts the mind of Lil from DL was trying to put forth as it infected her other mind with dark thoughts and actions.

An arm came at her neck but she made no action against the arm, she was too far lost in the moment. She had raised her bloodied hand as if to strike again, a dark and wild look in her eyes, but she was cut short as he threw her off of him. She rolled and managed to recover quickly in a readied stance for pouncing. Those red eyes were staring at her again. She must remove them. Tear them out with her bare hands and crush them in her palms. The vampire spoke to her, it knew her name. How does it know my name? The words drifted across her raging mind. "Vampire" was the only word that came out of her mouth it was filled with acid, a tone that seemed able to melt the flesh off your bones just by the sound. As he reached up to his hood she pounced again, this time aiming at clawing at his eyes…

Those red eyes…

…they must disappear

His full face came into view and he spoke again. Her body seemed to twitch causing her to misstep and trip herself off to the side of him. The other mind was struggling to break free of the void's holding her back. She twitched several times as she fought inside her mind and then won. She needed to talk herself down, she was in a flashback like rage.

"Nathanael, he's not bad, remember." She said

"Vampire, red eyes, must destroy them." she spoke again in that acidic tone

"He's the kid's daddy you'll make them sad."

"I won't let him kill mama! Not again!" She was crying now and halfheartedly threw herself at him and tried hitting him with closed hands more like pounding on a wall. "I won't!"

"hush now, it'll be ok." She said in a soothing voice.

"He can't take her from me, not this time!"

"No one will take mama it's alright Lilli….. see he's not one of them, he's Nathanael, remember from before, remember the rain."

"H-he's not…"

She backed away a few steps and stood in silence for a few moments. She wiped away the tears and finally dared to look at him. She spoke in a more neutral tone as she gave a small curtsy and said, "I apologize. Sometimes I get a bit…split. When I crossed over from DaeLuin it was in a dream that was immediately followed by a very traumatic event that… is very hard to come to terms with. My… Revaliir birth mother was slaughtered by vampires before my eyes and I froze… I couldn't help her, I was too afraid." She looked at the ground ashamed and continued, "So I sincerely apologize for attacking you, I could have sworn I was back there again…"

Whatever was clouding Lilithrie’s mind, it was one hell of an influence as she rebuttaled just one word to him. Vampire. Raeguel could only moan inwardly as he clutched at his chest. The wound would heal soon but for now he could feel the pain shooting from it. Could it had been that she was gaining revenge for what may have seemed like his abandonment of the children? Surely it could have seemed that way since he hadn’t crossed over along with them and was nowhere seen for the longest time. She had once told him that he had ever harmed either of the twins, that she would end him even if it killed her and it seemed as though she was fulfilling that promise.

“Lil, control yourself. If this is about the children…I didn’t hurt either of them.” His eyes grew wider as she tripped and started to argue. But it wasn’t to him directly but to herself. His defensive stance did not falter as he watched on; Raeguel wanted to come over to the girl and try and calm her down. But right now he had to be prepared for another attack and not let himself be caught off guard again, or there was no telling what could happen that time. When she said something about killing her mama, he relinquished the stance a bit. “Mama? What do you…” Before the sentence could be finished, she flew out at him with tears rolling down and pounded her fist against him. He could feel them hitting, but he couldn’t bring himself to stop her. He didn’t know exactly who her mother was, or even if he did have something to do with her death, but after everyone that he had murdered, was this not a fitting punishment? Should there be someone that wanted him to face up and take ownership to his crimes?

He wanted badly to tell her that he hadn’t killed her mother, but the words wouldn’t come out from his mouth. It was as if they were caught up in his throat. Lil was gaining control of herself through the conversation with herself and he could only nodded at the mentioning of the rain. “Yes, that is when you saved me, and then I returned the favor afterwards”, he managed to slip out as he placed both arms to his side, ending his stance. “Do not apologize. Crossing through the rifts, conflicts are bound to happen. I can not blame you for wanting revenge for her. I know much about what pain and suffering can do so a person, especially because of something like the death of a loved one.” Even now, he still carried remorse for the love of his life that was ripped away from him because of petty jealousy. The wound was nearly healed and later on he would make the proper adjustments to the his cloak from where it was ripped.

“I can truthfully say that I didn’t know your “Revaliir” mother, nor do I command any other vampires any longer, so the attack wasn’t caused by me. Just… thought you should know. I just arrived here to this realm a few days ago, thanks to Angela…” He turned around and started a few paces before glancing back to her. She seemed to be faring better, but he wasn’t completely convinced that she was alright. Something like she had just described was not something that could be easily dealt with. “Please join me back at the table. I think that you may need to sit and rest for a bit. A lot…just happened now…” With that, Raeguel moved over to where the book he had picked up before was and retrieved it before he returned to his favorite spot.

She took a deep breath and calmed herself more and explained a bit, "It's not that I want revenge for her mother, she just seems to be traumatized and the sight of your eyes set her off. As we become one mind, if that ever happens, I don't think I'll ever really be able to see a vampire without feeling intense hatred and an urge to kill them."

She nodded to him and walked back to his table and sat down. She was a bit pale. He was having issues with the presence in her mind and after this, something had to be done. She couldn't just deal with it on her own anymore. "Can I tell you something?" She asked then said, "I lost control when I shouldn't have and there is a reason for that. Back in DeaLuin I met a man named Rhenakos. He was having issues with his magic, kind of similar to when I first started training. Only thing is that his is demonic magic he gained from taking the eye of the demon who slaughtered everyone he loved. So I decided I'd help him get control of it by confronting it. I made the usual precautions just in case he lost control and couldn't regain himself. I found out something that day. My magic is weak against demonic magic. The void I usually use to fight, to erase all emotions and think just logic and strategic things with no bias, well… My endless void filled up. It was the demonic presence that radiated from demons that if your mind isn't protected can turn you insane and such if close to it for too long. This demon of hs had a very potent radiating aura. Well, as I said my so called endless void filled up on that aura and closed itself off. I figured the aura would dissipate after a while you know? Well it never did. It became more than just a collected aura. It became conscious. There was actually an incident a few months later that has made me quite worried. I was in Death Valley, seeking out the necromancer Shaulekai the Demon Weaver. Yeah I know right demons again, but he's got knowledge that is god of wisdom like and I was desperate to find out what had happened and why you all had disappeared and where you all were. Well as it happened I stumbled upon Rhen again there. He said he'd help me. So into the necromancer's lair we went. Lots of traps and mazes, the usual aye. Now this is the part that has me worried. At one point I was possessed by a shadow demon… One who merges with shadows… Apparently they can possess people by merging with darkness in their minds. Well, that didn't go well… For the demon. It was a reflex that caused me to open the void to sheild my mind from the demon. That wasn't a good idea. I was instantly taken over by the 'presence' in the void." She did air quotes when she said presence. "Well. Kind of taken over. My mind was shoved to the background. The presence then instantly seized the invading one. No matter how the shadow tried to get away, leave, it was like a child compared to the presence. The presence had somehow transformed my void of nothingness into a little personal hell. It tortured the shadow for what felt like a hundred years. Eventually the shadow managed to escape though. Or maybe it let the demon  escape I'm not sure. But it impaled itself on Rhen's sword the moment it got away. It also let me regain control of my body… But the feeling was very clear… It was letting me I wasn't taking back control, it was allowing me control." She closed her eyes and sighed, running at her temples. "And just now, when she was losing it, becoming animalistic and violent, the presence… It restrained me, egging her on. I just don't think I can try and deal with it on my own anymore." She opened her eyes and let her hands fall from her temples to the table. She looked at him with a plea for help and a sliver of hope that he'd have an answer for her. "Can you help me? Do you know any way to get rid of it or subdue it completely?"
