Angela gave him a smile as he told her he was a touch serious. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Angela could provide him with whatever and she hadn’t felt the need to be completely serious. Drae on the other hand was mortal. There wasn’t much he could give her in the physical realm but his words meant a lot since they touched on the spiritual realm. Willow gave an approving smile as she nodded to him.
“These are the words binding your marriage. If I know Angela, and I would like to think I do, she is offering her whole realm. That was what her vows were no matter how silly they sounded. Plentiful are the words that make up your marriage. You must keep those words at heart and may life never separate either of you. I bind you now in our world and the next. No matter the troubles that come with these vows you must stay together and fight. Now you can kiss.”
Angela was quick to lean up and kiss him. Willow shook her head and chuckled. “Wear your rings proud. Not many of us get married. I am highly busy so I will leave you both to celebrate this wonderful day.” Willow was gone before Angela could thank her but instead she just curled up into Drae with a loving look in her eyes.
“I wouldn’t have this any other way.”

He wasn't sure if it was bad form to laugh while someone was saying their vows, but Angela had managed quite well at adding some levity to their already amusing wedding. He smiled widely at Angela as he took her hands and squeezed them in his.
"I hope you don't mind, Love, but I was a touch more serious in mine," he said affectionately. He cleared his throat and looked deep into Angela's eyes.
"Day by day, I know and love you more and more, but I know that your complexities are beyond my scope. I learn from your wisdom every day. Your mind stirs my soul to new heights; your faith in me gives me strength; your touch delights me; and without your love I am incomplete. Between us, we find the echo of Love that has filled the universe since the dawn of creation; through us it spreads peace and harmony to our friends and family and beyond.
So this day, I bind myself to you with these wedding vows, willingly and wholeheartedly, free from any doubt or mental reservations: in riches and in poverty, in jubilation and despair, in sickness and in health, despite our flaws, I will share my life with you.
All that is mine is yours. With love I will tell you the truth as I understand it. I will honor you and respect you. I will rejoice in your joys and weep in your sorrows. I will love you and cherish you, without cease and without pause; all the days of our lives until death departs us."

Angela looked quite impressed with her soon to be husband as she laughed. “Well, now I don’t feel so silly.” She kissed him gently and Willow whacked her good.
“Not yet. Did I say to do that yet? I don’t think the words left my mouth Child.” Angela gave a face and Willow gave Drae a wink. Once they got out into the courtyard Willow smiled and moved in between them. “Good Drae, not many have the will power to deal with any of my granddaughters. Between you and me I think Blaine has lost sanity dealing with Toya.” Angela laughed a little and Willow winked. “Now Angela why don’t you start with your vows?”
Angela smiled and nodded before looking over to Drae. She stared deep into his eyes and thought about it. “I promise to always try to be level headed and not bring down cities if you make me mad. I promise to be understanding if you need to go get on a ship or go to Parvpora and not to tie a string around you. I promise to take care of you in both sickness and in health.” She grinned a bit and laughed. “And to give you lots of babies.”
Willow rolled her eyes and laughed. “Well, at least you were creative and funny with them.” Angela chuckled more and winked at Drae. “What about you Drae, what do you promise with this marriage?”

It reassured him that Willow was as easy going and even tempered as Angela was, if not in a far more mature way. Remarkably, she had a way of reducing even Angela to a child-like state by scolding her, and it made Drae chuckle slightly. She at least didn't dislike him, and that was all that really mattered. He knew enough about Arriese women that if she didn't like him, she would have made it known.
Drae pretended to look offended when Angela asked if they should wing their marriage or actually go through their vows. He chuckled lightly as Willow did indeed scold her and he looked at Angela with a mock look of hurt pride.
"I'll have you know that I have had my vows prepared for weeks. I have no intention of not speaking them to you now, my love," he said emphatically, but with a grin as they walked into the courtyard behind Willow.
He paused and listened as Willow questioned his resolve to marry Angela, regardless of what may happen. The mention of the Soul-Stream made him furrow his eyebrows. It was not a concept he was familiar with, and he was grateful that Angela interjected to explain. He nodded in understanding and turned his steely gaze back to Willow.
"I was ready to take the plunge long ago. I don't know what possessed me to wait this long," he answered. "I am ready, and if it means plunging head first into the Soul-Stream itself to do this, I will do it," he said as he took Angela's hands and squeezed them gently. "Never have I been more ready for anything," he said resolutely.

Willow started to laugh a bit as her front came down. “Angela just talks a lot Boy you don’t need to be nervous around me. If I asked her what was going on she would take an entire moon’s cycle to try and tell me what you just did.” The white haired Rosenite waved Drae off as she got up and moved around the desk. “I can marry you both. I imagine Angela probably snapped before she could plan one.” Angela didn’t look amused that her grandmother knew her so well.
Angela smiled up at Drae and laughed. “Should we go through the vows or just wing it? I mean we’ve half-assed everything else. We might as well keep going with it.”
Willow rolled her eyes slightly and smacked at Angela’s hands. If it had been anyone else Angela would have probably snapped but she just shrunk back like a child and stared. “Honestly, doing things half-assed at your age. Who taught you how to be a responsible Goddess?” Willow was chuckling again. “We can go out to the courtyard if you want… Actually, that is a good place to do it at.”
She took them out to the rose covered courtyard and took a breath of air. Children were running around playing because this was the safest place in all of Sularia. Willow greeted each of them before looking up at Drae. “Are you ready to take the plunge and take this Goddess and my Grandchild to be your wife? Should the soul stream take you would you still love her no matter what? In Arri, we don’t believe in the salvation of the Gods. We believe that we become the Soul-Stream and guide our future generations. You will become one of us in spirit and someday if you wish to live longer in body as well.”
Angela stared at Drae for a moment and felt the need to speak up. “I haven’t told you about what Arri believes in. That is my fault. Even if I am a Goddess, I do still believe if I die I become one with the Soul-Stream. That has never changed. Those we kill go to the Soul-Stream as well. This is just what we believe. I suppose it’s what keeps me in the mortal mindset.”

Drae took the advantage of the time allotted to him and did change his clothes, so that he would at least not look horribly frumpy and besmeared with alchemical substances, and made sure he was clean shaven and his hair was done before he rejoined Angela and then they were off.
Queen Willow appeared to be busy at work, and barely acknowledged them when they arrived, though it was clear she was aware of their presence. Drae had only met the Queen once, when Rohan was born, and like all Arri women was strong, much like Angela, and very much a no-nonsense type of person. She demonstrated this by ordering Drae to explain their coming, rather than letting her granddaughter explain their visit.
"Queen Willow… uh… Would you marry us?" Drae asked. She said she wanted a short explanation, and Drae was pretty sure that he couldn't make the explanation to their visit any shorter or to the point than that. "I know it is last second, but it has become necessary for both our sanity."

She smiled and kissed his cheek. “I am so glad you are thoughtful.” She watched the jar with a gentle eye as she chuckled. “They will love it Dearest. She is sweet and deserves good rest. I imagine the unrest about Cyprus is the reason why she isn’t sleeping right even though she isn’t completely sure why the darkness bothers her.”
“Weddings are not my thing. I do believe if a God of Love was around they would get all of the attention.” She squeaked as he pulled her down and she snuggled in. “I would expect to at least get some respect being the Goddess in question.” She chuckled a bit more as she hid her head in his shoulder. “Yes, can we elope? I want to just be with you and not have a mad house.” She chuckled a bit more. “I was sort of in a mess of weddings and still trying to accomplish the impossible.” She nuzzled him back.
Nodding again she kissed his lips and laughed. “It sounds good. We can even let her dive into a cake all of her own. I’ll never hear the end of it from the clergy but I think that would get us off the hook.” She pulled him closer and laughed. “We should go right now and just demand my grandmother to marry us. She would have to agree. We can get married in just our regular clothes.” Though regular for Angela was anything but. “And we can come back for a reception and surprise the kids.”
Giving him a minute or two if he wanted to change the Goddess was soon portaling them to Arri. It wasn’t long before they were in the study at the main castle. It was so good to be home. Many of the books were brightly colored and at the desk was the white haired queen, who despite her age didn’t look much older than Drae or Angela. “And what do I have the pleasure of you two doing here?” Willow didn’t look up and pointed to Drae to answer. “Keep it short since Angela will go on forever about it.”
Scoffing Angela nodding to Drae to tell the older Rosenite what was going on.

The familiar scent of Angela's floral perfume tickled Drae's nose moments before she appeared behind him in his workroom, and he smiled gently as she peered over his shoulder.
"I'm glad you think so. I know that Iva's been having an issue with the dark lately, and I figure something like this will hypnotize both her and Rohan at night," he chuckled as he corked the last bottle and placed his hands over hers as she wrapped her arms around him.
"Love, weddings are your thing!" he chuckled. "I am pretty sure that I mentioned that Winter was going to be a bad time," he chuckled softly before he turned and pecked her on the forehead before he pulled her into his arms. "And what did you expect, love? Getting a job for a Goddess's wedding is something ANYONE would fight over the right to serve for," he pointed out. His eyebrow cocked in surprise, however.
"You want to elope? Wasn't it you that said you wanted a nice wedding?" he asked in surprise, but it soon turned into a wide grin. "You couldn't ask me to do this sooner?" he asked wily before he nuzzled her.
"I think we can make it up to her by having some sort reception or party after the fact. It would be a shame to have your cake go to waste," he suggested. "Then it will be the biggest tea party ever, and Iva won't have any choice but to forgive us," he offered.

Angela was preparing a whole onslaught of weddings and had performed many in the past few weeks. She was in the middle of picking out some of the best bakers in all of Revaliir for her own wedding when the bakers decided to get in a fight over the goddess. She took a big sigh and knew it was a big event for them. Having a big name of the conclave getting married was a once in a lifetime event to have your name on. She had never been married as a goddess before so this was a treat for them. She relaxed in her chair as the squabbling went on. Finally, as the women walked in with rolls of silk and others walked in with necklaces they wanted her to wear… something just snapped. “Everyone out.” She made a shooing motion as she disappeared from her throne and went somewhere else in the temple.
There was a loud commotion as the visitors were all upset. “I really hate to put this one you all but can you make sure no one dies and to escort them from the temple please?” She looked up at her helpful staff and they nodded. “With no violence, please. It makes the plants sad.” With that, she disappeared again and reappeared by Drae. She looked over his shoulder and chuckled.
“That looks very nice. The children will love it.” Her stressed shoulders rolled as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. “I give up. I cannot plan a wedding with morons about my temple.” She put her forehead on his shoulder and sighed. “The bakers started a fight because clearly, I don’t know what cake should taste like… and the jewelry people started a fight because I CLEARLY do not know good gems when I see them. Let’s not even get into the silk people. I give up. I want to run away and get married. Dead serious.”
Mortals be damned. They were always like this to please a goddess but never to this extent. Was it really a big deal? She did not even have this much trouble with Dalanesca’s wedding but maybe it was the stress of it being her own. Another groan left her lips. “We could go… right now to Arri and have my grandmother perform a small wedding. Just you and me. No kids and we could spring it on them.” Heavens know that Iva was looking forward to it but she had seen what it was doing to her mother.
“I’ll have to attend a thousand tea parties for this but please do not put me through that out there. It is a mad house.”

The quiet of his private study was the only place it felt like he could have any peace and quiet these days. While he wasn't really working on much besides a little alchemical experiment that he hoped would bring some sort of enjoyment to his children, or soon to be children, he was dedicating himself to the work as much as possible to avoid the hub-bub going on out and about in the shrine. Angela was in the process of getting ready for four separate weddings that she was to be hosting there at the shrine, as well as planning their own grand celebration. Frankly, while he wanted to be of some us to the beautiful bride to be, he had NO CLUE what was required at the wedding, as it was typically planned by females… or so he understood.
He could hear the squabbling of voices outside his room, perhaps one of the mothers of the several different brides discussing and or arguing about what needed to be done with the members of the clergy. What was it about the autumn months that was so popular with marriages? He probably would never really know. The only reason he and Angela were setting up for an autumn wedding was because of the timing of his asking Angela to marry him. At least… that was his understanding.
He rolled his eyes at the noise outside, and proceeded to squeeze several drops of chemical from a pipet into a pale blue glass vial made of thick crystal, and then shoved a stopper in firm enough to keep it from being easily opened by adults, let alone children, and proceeded to watch as tiny little faerie lights began twinkling inside. Effective, and much more humane than going out and collecting fireflies or real faeries. He just hoped the children would like them.
