"I s-saw it w-w-while we were in Abed. Sh-she looks a l-lot more like y-y-you, but I can see h-his spirit in her," Dart chuckled.
"Fox is s-something special," he said softly. "She is uncommonly kind, and p-patient. But at the s-s-same t-t-time she knows h-how to push my buttons," he said fondly. "But as frustrated as she can make me… she has become my solace when I need it," he said looking at Angela. "I know that she is your a-a-avatar, but she is s-s-s-so much more than that. She got m-me out of Adeluna, out of the t-tavern, and out onto the open r-road," he explained. "I owe h-her more than my l-l-loyalty for that. I don't know if I would have ever left on my own."
He looked at Rohan's statue and smiled. "I always wanted to be just like him. But when he left, it was like my adventuring spirit went with him. He was really the only one wh-who supported me in my ambitions. Everyone else thought I was too, simple, or s-s-slow because of m-m-my stutter," he explained.

Angela shook her head. “Angela is just fine Dear. You know you are more then welcomed to visit your cousin. He is your family. Even if you can’t see him or I can’t see him he is probably loving the fact that you are here at his memorial. I’ll have to ask Drae for you.” She gently chuckled at him and nodded her head at him.
“Fox isn’t a tool like most gods would use her. She may be my eyes and eyes into a scary world but I do love her very much. My first Avatar.. well…” She frowned a bit. “He didn’t make it very far into life. I wanted to create someone who could defend themselves if need be. I wanted to raise my Avatar as a child but things happen and situations change. Fox has grown quite well into her adult life.”
Angela looked up at Rohan and then back down at Dart and chuckled more. “I know he told me. He thought I was fake at first when he got here. Your cousin was an honorable and special man. A good model for you to be and in my opinion, you are doing a great job. I can see the love that you have for my child is ever growing. That makes me happy that she can have her own life like I wanted her to.”
She straightened up the flowers around the statue and laughed. “That makes Iva your cousin then. She must look a ton like Rohan when you saw her. It’s the eyes I think. She is as stubborn as he was.”

Dart felt Angela's presence before she spoke to him, but even so, he still gave a slight start when she did speak. He turned around quickly and gave her a reverent bow as she approached him.
"L-lady A-Angela," he said almost nervously. "I h-hope I am n-n-not intruding h-h-here," he added apologetically, but turned his gaze back to the statue. He looked back at Angela as she stood beside him, and he smiled slightly when she compared him to his cousin, and spoke of how it seemed that history was repeating itself in him and Fox.
He couldn't help but chuckle softly when Angela elbowed him, mentioning the incident in Laeto Forest that had resulted in his and Fox's tribal marriage. He couldn't help but smile at Angela.
"Well… you aren't wrong," he chuckled softly, feeling at ease with the woman who was so much like Fox that it was almost scary. "I've gotten very fond of her. Laeto Forest was definitely something I hadn't expected to happen. But it gave me a taste of what traveling with Foxglove was going to be like, and I realized then that I couldn't let anything happen to her," he said with a smile. He sighed and looked back up at Rohan's statue.
"Y-you kn-know… e-everyone thought that he w-was delusional… coming here. The whole family. B-before he got sick… he and I were really close. He was older than me, but I tagged along everywhere he went. I wanted to be just like him…"

Angela left Rohan in the capable hands of Foxglove as she wandered off. She felt the young soul of her daughter’s play husband running around her temple. Her eyes had seen Rohan in those eyes that Dart held. Even though they were different colors it was the way they held courage. The way Dart spoke to her daughter. The way he held himself. It must have been a thing in his family for the males. The redhead wandered towards the stained glass bridge and when she made it to the other side she smiled.
“You know he can hear you. Drae told me that he’s stuck around to make sure we don’t do anything too bad.” She came up beside the young hero and hummed softly as her thoughts pooled together within her head. “When I first saw you… I thought history was replaying itself with Rohan and I. If we had met before he had gotten sick. I try not to pry too much on Foxglove’s life but she is my Avatar. She has just as many duties to the world as I do.”
She crossed her arms and took a bigger sigh. “I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect companion for her. I know that if I were mortal and he were better that he would have protected me like you do my Fox.” She rubbed her red hair and chuckled. “You got yourself into a mess in the Rain Forest… Marrying my daughter like that.” She teased him and gently elbowed him. “You do remind me of us… No matter how I tried to ignore him when he first showed up… He did grow on me. You two have grown on each other as well.”

D'Artagnan had never been to a shrine before. Well, he had been to a shrine, but the ones he had been to were the ones that the general masses were allowed to go and worship in. This place was completely different. It was beautiful, in a different way than, but very similar to Laeto Forest and Adeluna. It was amazing and he felt like he could get lost very easily. As a matter of fact, he did in fact get lost, when he got separated from Foxglove, whom he was sure was off talking with her mother, or perhaps catching up with one of her myriads of sisters, or even possibly doting upon the newest member of the family with Iva.
Whichever the case may have been, he had wandered off from the spot he had been told to stay put in and was now wandering aimlessly along the grounds. Maybe not aimlessly. Rohan had been here. It had been a very long time since he had seen his cousin, and this place, he was told, was his final resting place.
Everyone had actually believed that he was delusional, that his sickness had made him wrong in the head. No one had believed that he would even make it to the Shrine. Dart had been fortunate to not to have to gone through the trials as Rohan would have had to, and he heard tales that it could be brutal, especially to someone as sick as Rohan had been.
Dart wandered out onto the grounds and found himself crossing a covered bridge that littered the path with colored light from the stained glass. The colors were distracting, and he found himself looking on in awe. It was breathtaking, really, and he chuckled as the colors danced around him.
He walked out from the bridge into the sunlit stone courtyard. The light was blinding for a moment and he raised his hand to shield his eyes. Once the dazzling effect wore off, he lowered his hand and took stock of the courtyard. It was a courtyard, paved in decorative stones, with soft moss growing up between them. It was completely enclosed, and there were trees that lined the courtyard casting shade to keep the area comfortable. In the center there was a memorial statue, and Dart recognized the features of the man that had been chiseled into the stone. There were items strewn about the statue's feet, the remnants of what must have been a tea party. His guess was probably Iva. She was his daughter after all.
Dart approached the statue and slipped his hands into his trouser pockets as he looked up at Rohan's face.
"H-hey there cousin," he said with a wistful smile up at Rohan. "It's sure been a while…"
