This was the only place he feared in Her realm, the Circle of the Heretic.  That was the only label he considered to be true, since he had betrayed his faith.  And for what?  It had all been a lie anyway.  Men could not rise above their inner evils anymore than they could purge themselves completely of the blood in their veins.  It was simply a truth that Logan had realized all too late.  He hoped to move through this Circle quickly without attracting attention, but a part of him knew better than to hope.  It had never gotten him very far in life, after all.  Taking his own fate into his hands however was a different story entirely. 

The people had their tongues removed and their mouths sewn shut formed a strange field he had to move through.  Logan did his best to avoid contact with those condemned to their fate, but there were so many.  It was that thought which gave him a small level of comfort, that certain things never changed through the years.  There would always be those who lived by lies and trying to cheat their fellows.  But in the end, there was a punishment.  And Logan had escaped his.

Or so he thought.  He saw the edge of the Circle, and broke into a run, trying to beat the guardian of Heresy to the next Circle.  But it wasn't meant to be.  One moment he was running, and the next he found himself held up by his neck, by the woman who had led him down the trail of blood and lies.  He both loved and hated the woman he had first known as the High Prophet.  He loved her for open his eyes to the lies of life, but he still hated her for the smug attitude and precision with which she had engineered his downfall.  It was such a thin line, and his feelings still wove between the two for her.  She opened her mouth, speaking those words that had condemned him again.  Words that made Logan open his mouth to scream.
