Appearance Ryspar doesn't particularly stand out in any way. He's small and slight of build, as typical for an elf, but he has the strength to be a talented fighter. His eyes are often described as sad, and it may take a few tries to get him to show much emotion in his features. Most believe him to be sad as his default mood, though his stoicism leads them to keep their distance mostly as well. He doesn't necessarily seem like a fighter based on his appearance, but a closer look would reveal callouses and other telltale signs of combat. He has a tattoo on his left arm.

Personality: Typically quiet and a tad stoic, Ryspar tries to keep his emotions in check. He had a problem with his temper when he was younger and has since tried to correct it. He hasn’t seen much joy and so has a problem expressing his happiness. He regrets his own immaturity from when he was younger and wants to help others with their own mistakes. Ryspar always seems sad and conflicted, despite his actual mood. He may not admit it, but he wants to correct his previous mistakes and give himself a second chance to do things correctly.
Backstory: Ryspar’s mother was not well and her insanity caused death everywhere. She killed both Ryspar’s father and his brother, Gawien. But then she realized she had no males left to do her bidding and so, spared Ryspar. She fled civilization and raised Ryspar as more of a slave than a son. He did her bidding and was forced to rely on her absolutely. Once he was older, around 40 or 50, he lived in a small town, mostly to supply his mother with whatever she wanted. He was still kept on a short leash but his mother made the mistake of believing he was still under her control. He was, until he met Calindra. He fell in love with her, and she reciprocated. They married and Ryspar kept it a secret from his mother for 4 months. Until she found out. She came into town and murdered Calindra, furious at her son’s betrayal. Before she was caught, she fled, making it appear that Ryspar had killed Calindra. He was found innocent but he wasn’t as welcome in the town. He was suddenly forced to be self-sufficient to survive. He found some help with an elderly retired paladin. The paladin taught Ryspar to fight and to live on his own. He also taught the elf about goodness and living under the law. Ryspar was able to correct some of lessons his mother had forced on him and turned his life around. He realized how evil his mother was and when the paladin died, Ryspar set out to find his mother and bring her evil to an end. His impossible dream is finding another woman to love and to make up for what happened to Calindra but he expects it will never happen.
