All About Lise Desher
Character Name: Lise Heron Desher
Name Meaning: ((The heron is a bird, and a natural predator. It hunts to survive, same as Lise. It's plumage is usually white, and, more importantly, blue. Desher is the color of victory and life, or red, in Egyptian. Blue and red mix together to make purple, Lise's primary color.))
Age: 17
Height: 5'7", 171 cm
Weight: 125 lbs., 56.7 kg
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Hair: Walnut-brown locks that are usually kept into a bun for caution's sake. When worn down, it barely reaches her lower back in straight strands. Bangs still litter her face, stretching all the way down to her nose.
Eyes: Cornflower-blue eyes in a down-turned shape. Her eyebrows are full, adding definition, despite the lack of cosmetics. Her eyebrows are flat and thin.
Skin tone: Pale, yet rosy and sun-kissed. She has a birthmark on her inner-right thigh. One of her most notable features is a beauty mark to the left of her lips.
Build: Athletic and skinny. While Lise has always been blessed in the height department and shows no real sign of stopping, a lack of nutrition and simple genetics make the girl noticeably skinny.
Appearance in Age: She looks young enough to deny a drink to. Around the 15-19 range, 20 at the most.
Weapons of Choice: Lise has kept a distinct, almost-fancy bow as an heirloom from her past life. She has become quite adept at archery and relies on it the most to do substantial damage, if need be.
In a close quarters skirmish, Lise would much rather create some distance. However, if this isn't possible, she will utilize a hunting/skinning knife along with some rather dirty tactics.
Armour of Choice: Lise has always put mobility and comfort over heavy and protective armor. Leather at the most, padded cloth at the least. She dresses to fight moose and rabbits, not Humans and Elfs.
Magical Abilities: Lise has never been adept at magic, but she has retained a few useless spells. The most useful and most utilized spell in her arsenal is the ability to generate simple foodstuff, such as a red apple or some bread.
Personality: In a few words, Lise is practical, adventurous, athletic and prefers solitude to a crowd.
Lise possesses an aloof, sometimes interpreted as bratty, and independent temperament. She holds the outdoors in high regards, being a "cool off" zone since she was young. She practically feels more at home in the woods, with the wild animals, than in any sort of inn or house. Always willing to take stupid risks or make the plunge, Lise is a 'act first' type of gal. That isn't to say that the girl isn't smart or cunning. If an opportunity presents itself for her or her sister to gain an advantage over someone, make a bigger profit, cause a larger ruckus, she'll probably do it.
Lise is very gung-ho and tries to lead a straight forward life. This means she usually doesn't suffer liars and she usually doesn't suffer attacks to her or her friends. Due to her bold and impulsive nature, she even snaps at some strangers, and she usually means everything she says. It's usually easy enough to win her over, however. Just a few well-placed jokes or a offer at some food and she'll definitely act like your best buddy. The only people she'd be willing to steal for is herself, obviously, or her twin sister, Sophia. The list of people she'd lie for is significantly bigger.
Backstory: Lise, and her twin sister Sophia, were born of a pair of highly-respected mages. Unfortunately, their mother passed away when they were both too little to remember her, and their father was nowhere to be found.
The twins grew up moving from one spot to another all over the country. Foster parents kept them at a year or two at a time, but quickly passed them up, Sophia and Lise were just too much to handle. It was around this time that Lise found a love for the outdoors and hunting.
The two made a pact together out of youthful defiance, and ran away from home. The sisters have been on the road for several years now, moving town to town in their trial to survive, picking up odd jobs here and there and picking pockets only when they need to - and, of course, when Lise finds a new scroll or intellectual-looking book to spoil her sister with.
