Magical Abilities:
Fire Breath: A pretty common ability, Aries learned this one because she rather likes pretending to be a dragon. When she has the resources, she likes to use this to create flaming arrows
Create Food: Aries is able to create food. Her favorite food is a sweet bread that her mother used to make. It's quite filling, and filled with plenty of nuts to give protein.
Summon Item: Aries can summon her items from the aether. Mostly what she keeps there are her weapons; everything else, she avoids placing it in there, as she feels like if she died suddenly, she'd rather have all her stuff be used, rather than be trapped in the aether forever.
Currently in Aether: War Bow, Hunting Bow, Arrowx20, Daggerx2
Special Techniques:
Educated (Mathematics): Aries is well learned, and is on the cutting edge of the mathematics of the time, a branch called "Calculus." It has many uses, some of which Aries uses in her research, and others in the making and use of weapons.
Educated (Projectile Physics): Given about 20 minutes, Aries can accurately land a shot of almost any ranged weapon through the use of calculus. This is severely hampered by weather, though
Dabbling Crafter: Aries is somewhat skilled at creating things from raw materials– just basic things, nothing extremely complex. This includes her inventions, which sometimes come along.
Backstory:
Aries Alba was born to a rather mediocre family of researchers; her parents were more like assistants to more learned people than actual researchers themselves. Despite this, they instilled within her a great wonder and curiosity about the way the world and universe functioned. To her parent's delight, Aries began attending several schools that taught the most cutting edges of sciences and magicks. Aries, around the age 11 now, had become interested in magic, and decided that's what she would research; she wished to blur the lines between science and magic.
To her great frustration, though, not many people seemed quite as interested as Aries did in how the world functioned. The Magic Academy in Parvpora was among the more advanced places that she visited, but they focused on learning and applying magic, not learning and applying the way magic functioned– what made magic "tick," so to speak. Now age 14, Aries was getting somewhat dejected about her quest.
That was when she saw a great airship fly through the sky. Her interest was piqued; she'd heard about the flying machines of Tarishitar, of course, but this was the first she'd seen of them. Aries was very surprised at how large they were, and wondered at how they managed to stay afloat with such enormity. She began researching what she could about the Tarishitar from home. For a few years, that was all she did.
It was around the time she turned sixteen that Aries caught the eye of one of the leaders of mathematical research. They never met face to face, but the mystery person left her a book– a book of some rather… Revolutionary mathematics. The book called it "Calculus."
Aries devoured the book, learning all she could about this new branch of mathematics. It almost felt wrong; it was breaking all the rules– but without actually breaking the rules. It could be used to even calibrate ranged weapons to an incredible accuracy, within 20 feet of the target if they were a mile away. Aries was astonished.
She began saving up her money to travel to Tarishitar, to show the learned people there what had been given to her, and to research further the causes of magic. Finally, at the age of 20 years old, Aries arrived in Tarishitar.
