A bastard child of the Black Court Queen and a high ranking demon, Colden was supposedly a means to an end. Cyprus wanted to ensure that her enemies were crushed and that her throne would remain hers, so she made a deal- she would give birth to a child of the demon’s and he in turn would grant her the power she craved. Needless to say that in the end she had been tricked and then she was stuck with the child for whom she treated as coldly as the rest of her children. Colden, as a result, became a twisted and jaded child, and then later a man that adopted many of his mother’s traits and secretly craved her throne- perhaps it was a cruel irony that his creation was meant to keep her in power in the first place. When she was defeated and slain, he would learn that the throne was already planned for someone else, which drove him mad with a false entitlement for revenge and to steal back what was “rightfully his”.

It wouldn't until after he was taken back into Cyprus's custody and was shown her true colors when Eldora, Lotus, Dante and Steele went to save him that he was made to see the truth. Although they saved him, his mind and spirit was fractured and he felt into a sea of darkness and despair. His family was able to bring him back slowly but surely and now he is currently trying to find his place in the world.

Personality:
Due to his upbringing, Colden was a cruel and selfish individual. He cared of nothing of rules (besides his own) and would become ill violent the drop of a hat. No one save for those loyal to him was safe from his quick-tempered wrath and would not stomach any sort of disrespect against him.

Currently, he has become a less vain version of himself. His selfishness is there somewhat, though he is more thoughtful of others. He is quick tempered but is really seen when something or someone is perceived as a threat to either himself or his family. Although he doesn't like to admit it, he can be kind at times, especially to children.

Dryad Bark

A rare form of bark that forest nymphs shed in secret groves during the first days of Venti every year. The bark looks remarkably like skin, and has a strong, earthy scent capable of overwhelming more sensitive noses

Eterna’s Bottled Tears

Mages have, for a long time, sought the tears of a phoenix. They are treasured above most things in the magickal world. Eterna had been the companion of a mage’s from the college, and every time she had been reborn she bore her tears for him. These tears, when worn or placed on one’s person, enhance one’s ability to weave fire.
