Hey everyone. My name's Lauren and I've been RPing online for six or seven years now. I did wolf/canine role play for several years, and I joined Revaliir in early 2016. I have three characters on this site. Paradox, my female centaur character, is my main character. I also have Aspect, a female animal shapeshifter, and Caligo, a female demonic shadow horse. Typical Clothing/Equipment: White/gray tunic/shirt, has old knight armor that she occasionally wears that’s been refurbished to fit her needs. Has a bardiche and sheath as her primary weapon. Always has a small dagger on her person.
Also has armor that she may or may not wear depending on the thread. Consisting of metal leg bracers, a croupiere, a criniere, a metal vest, and lower arm bracers.

Personality/Attitude:
|Honest|Sarcastic| Paradox is honest to a fault and can be very blunt. She gives off the impression of being insensitive about others even though she doesn't necessarily mean it. She can have a cold shoulder and will go numb to others as a defensive mechanism if she doesn't like or trust you. She doesn't lie to people and doesn't see a point in it. She also has a deadpan/sarcastic/smart-aleck sense of humor due to her honesty. She is not afraid to speak her mind and this can lead her into trouble. Some like her for her trustworthiness and yet others don't like her for being so upfront. You either like her or you don't and she doesn't really care which way you go.

|Sigma|Unpredictable| Paradox has a definite Sigma personality. She avoids social circles and social hierarchy in general. She has no care for social consequences and can be antagonistic towards creatures she doesn't like. She has no desire to lead others, and yet, she has no desire to be led. Even though she isn't an upfront leader, she can lead indirectly and is very good at manipulating others. She can be intimidating and has a tendency to glare at others without meaning to. She likes to be her own individual, with no restraints or hindrances. She doesn't do very well in relationships because of its restriction on her freedom. It's safe to say you will never know what she is going to do.

|Flirt|Tease| Paradox will, if she likes you, probably flirt with you. If you start getting on her nerves, she will give a dose of insult with her flattery. When she flirts she never intends for the interaction to go any farther. She doesn't like players or being used. If she thinks an individual is using her, she will cut off interaction with the said person and forget about them. If she does like someone, she will tease them good-naturedly. You will know if she doesn't like you right away. She has a smart mouth.

|Intelligent|Prankster| Paradox is very smart and will likely show it in conversation. She loves random facts and trivia and is generally knowledgeable in a variety of areas. She is a good listener to others and genuinely cares about their feelings. She is not good at expressing her emotions in words and would rather show them to others. She loves a good conversation or a friendly debate amongst her peers. On occasion, she will engage in a prank or an amusing joke on/for/with others.

|Polite|Temperamental| Paradox has manners and will be well-mannered in front of others. She has class and she exhibits it to her full potential. She is proud and always holds her head up high. She avoids looking down on others and tries to keep an open mind. She's a fan of please and thank you. Even though she is well-mannered on the outside, inside she has a horrible temper that she regularly has to keep in check. She tries to keep from getting mad around others because once she starts its hard for her to stop. She's a skillful fighter, but usually prefers the use of her tongue and wit over strength and physical contact.

|Laidback|Practical| Paradox has a go-with-the-flow attitude and doesn't like direct conflict, but she isn't afraid to stand up for herself and be assertive. She gets along with most individuals in general. She can keep a grudge though if she is displeased by others, as she holds herself, and others, at very high standards of conduct. Though she has high standards, she does try to keep her feet on the ground and realize that no one is perfect. People make mistakes and she's aware of that, she's just not too fond of admitting to herself when she makes mistakes. This happens often as she will take things at face value and has a reputation for judging a book by its cover.

|Loyal|Stubborn| If an individual wins Paradox's trust, they will have a friend for life, through thick and thin. Her loyalty is strong and almost unbreakable. However, if you break her trust, she will forget about you entirely and you would be better off dead to her. She doesn't take lying well and you will regret it if she catches you. She is stubborn in her beliefs and ideas and is not easily swayed in her opinions. Arguing with her is almost pointless, but she is a good negotiator and is usually open to compromise, instead of a complete idea change.

Skills/Talents: She’s quickly becoming a skilled scholar and is knowledgeable about a very wide variety of topics. She is also adept with her bardiche and is very capable of protecting herself. She also has discovered that she’s capable of using her hooves as fire starters when necessary. She is also able to use light magic, she can heal some wounds, grow plants, and create food.

Favorites/Likes: She likes animals, especially horses, but has steadily grown distant from her original species as she’s become more educated and less animalistic. After teaching herself to read, she has really started to love books and literature. She appreciates good, meaningful conversation, and likes going to new places.

Most Hated/Dislikes: She has a strong dislike for alcohol and spirits. She believes that they corrupt the soul and make even the most civilized become beasts. She despises liars and hates dishonesty. She also hates dim-witted people and people that lack common sense really annoy her.

Goals/Ambitions: She doesn’t really have any goals right now. She’d eventually like to settle down and find a mate in the future, however, she has no intentions of bearing children. For now, she’s content reading books and finding out as much as she can about the world.

Strengths: She’s very adaptable and physically resilient. She is very strong and surprisingly flexible. She is a capable combatant with high intelligence. Her hearing and smell are very acute. Her sense of touch is very sensitive and she can feel vibrations through her hooves.

Weaknesses: She has a tendency to get very impatient with people and her mouth has gotten her into trouble more often than not, due to the fact that she speaks before she thinks. She also can be rather bull-headed at times, which can get her in trouble.

Fears: She is a bit claustrophobic and she has a fear of drowning.

Hobbies/Interests: She enjoys reading, researching various topics, long walks, cross country runs, braiding her hair, and traveling to new places and meeting new people.

Philosophy of Life: "Centaurs are no different than your kind. We are not the symbol of perfection that your people seek. There is none. Perfection is an idea, not a reality. I have searched for perfection for a long time, and it safe to say it doesn't exist. I'm sorry. Centaurs are both good and bad. Inside us dwells hatred, fear, anger, rage, greed, and jealousy. Like other mortals. But we also harbor joy, happiness, bliss, trust, and love. Some of us are just better at controlling one side over the other. As for a leader. That is something that I am not. I am not a follower either. I prefer my own path, to following those of others or leading others down mine. I just don't want to accept the responsibility of anyone besides myself. I am not a leader, but I am not a follower. I am a beast, and yet I am a man. I am good and yet I am bad. I am honest, and yet I still lie. I try to do good, and yet I still do wrong sometimes. Magic and Abilities

|Nature Magic| Paradox knows a vast assortment of Nature Magic. Not the most powerful of sorts, but very reliable. She can speed the strength of which plants grow, heal minor wounds to mortals, create moderate portions of food, and other minor enhancements.

|Hooves| Paradox has incredibly strong hooves and uses them with expert precision when attacking or defending. They are infused with flint and steel, thus creating a stream of sparks when rubbed against each other the correct way. They also serve as her Whetstone, when the need arises.

|Fur| Paradox is covered in a covering of thick fur that protects her from the elements.

|Star Reading| Paradox is especially adept, like the rest of her kind, in the areas of Astrology and Astronomy. Her kind believes that the future can be told in the stars, however, she knows that the future is always changing, which means the stars can only show one of the many possible outcomes, making them unreliable to her.

|Animal Communication| Paradox is able to understand and communicate with earth animals and is especially fluid in the manner of equine.

|Smell| Paradox has a very good sense of smell, able to distinguish animals, humans, and other creatures by their scent. She is able to detect slight pheromone differences in individuals that appear human, but aren't actually in their natural form or are not entirely human.

|Weapons| Besides the use of her body as a weapon, Paradox is very skilled at using a Bardiche, one of the primary weapons of the Centaur culture. A Bardiche can be considered a type of anti-calvary weapon and is a cross between a polearm and an ax.
