All About Armin

Before the portals opened up, Armin was a soldier in the midst of a war so large his entire world was being torn apart. However, after being sent through the portals, his entire world was turned upside down. He wandered aimlessly for quite some time, searching for answers. Though his old world was at the brink of destruction he deeply desires to be able to return and try to make a difference. Even if it be an impossible task to create peace and unite his realm, he would gladly face the end there.

Armin's skill lies with his blades, but he normally doesn't resort to violence unless he sees no other way of resolving a problem. Armin is a warrior, not a philosopher. He knows basic arithmetic and has some skill at reading and writing, and tends to speak much better than his skill with the pen would suggest. Armin's truest shame lies with his table manners. While he may be quick with a dagger, he's clumsy with the fork. He tries to avoid eating at public events, and when he does so he eats very little. It's a sensitive subject for him.

Bandana

A simple piece of cloth in the shape of a triangle, usually tied around one's head.

Common Trousers

Sometimes called pants, this garment is worn on the lower body, and covers the legs. These trousers are long and extend down to the ankles.

Common Tunic

A simple garment which might resemble a long shirt that stops somewhere between the wearer's hips and ankles. The sleeves may be long or short, depending on the local climate.

Dagger

A short, bladed weapon with a sharp point. Can be used to slash or pierce an enemy.

Rapier

A slender blade with a sharp point. Best suited for thrusting attacks.

Cloak

This heavy, woolen cloak offers its wearer warmth and protection from the elements. It also has a hood, which can be drawn up to make the wearer seem more mysterious.

Boots

Simple, sturdy footwear, usually made of leather.

Backpack

A hardy pack, with two straps that allow it to be worn on one's back. It's ideal for carrying supplies while on the move.

Game Box

A box with a checkered top that holds the pieces necessary for many games of both noble and common origins. Cards, chess pieces, and dice are the most common items found inside, but other cultures have been known to stuff in more exotic things things like shogi pieces.
