Zairah is a young teenage girl with a lot to learn. She used to be a human, but one day she found a pearl that, unknown to her, was a wishing pearl. That night she was looking at the pearl and said "I bet this is the kind of pearls mermaids wear. I wish I was a mermaid." And the next morning her wish came true.

Zairah has long messy wavy brown hair and caramel brown eyes. She has light skin, and lots of freckles on her nose. Her tail is a mix of blue and green, and it sparkles. She doesn't have the bikini type top most mermaids do, hers is like a strapless tankini, the tail reaches all the way up her torso and over where the bikini top would go. The end of her tail is the kind thats fanned out and feathery looking, kind of like a beta fish tail.

Zairah also has clairvoyance, but it isn't very strong. She sometimes dreams the future but still has trouble deciphering them.
