Personality
Plagued by curiosity all her life, Cloe knows better than anybody that curiosity killed the cat. However, her witty little response to this was always “And that cat had eight more lives left”. She’s very compassionate and has high empathy skills. Yet her strong will and bossy nature creates conflict with others. She also has a tendency to lie to make others feel better or to create an illusion of control in a situation. She’s extremely clever and knows how to adapt to almost any situation but sometimes she trips over her own cleverness or lets that confidence lead her to reckless decisions.
Backstory
Cloe was born in the country of Adeluna to two farmers, Edla Locke and Gerold Locke. They lived near a village called Lockwood. It was a place where everybody knew everybody and there was nothing Cloe could do without getting caught. But instead of stopping in any of her mischiefs, she just saw it as a challenge. When she was eight, her little sister was born. During that time Cloe helped take care of her sister when her mother was feeling ill from childbirth. Her father had to take care of the farm so there was only one other person who could help her mother.
She always viewed herself less like an older sister and took on the mother role for Abigail, much to her sister’s frustration. Cloe also took care of the geese and chickens as a part of her chores. In the village, she had a best friend named Lucy whom she lost contact with when her friend moved away. Despite her position as a farmer the country, she always dreamed of moving to a populated city where she could earn enough money to start traveling around the world. Her parents managed to save up to get a new house in the city and get her moved but the rest was up to her.
Her original plan was to get hired at the Winking Mermaid but they weren’t hiring. So she worked at another nameless tavern until a job opened up. The majority of her money goes back home to support her family but some of the cash she sets aside for future travel plans.
