Born to Rayne Ravin and Magnar Ravin, she was their first baby and a little ball of joy. Her brother was born two years after her. Growing up, she was a fast learner and had a talent for organization. At the early age of sixteen, she began taking on more jobs that her father was too busy to handle. Over time the chief's daughter became an influential member in her tribe, almost as powerful as the chief himself. Before she turned eighteen, her parents separated with the chief staying in the village and her mother heading off with another woman of the tribe. When she was eighteen, the suitors began to try to win her affections but she remained adamant that she wouldn't marry. When she was in her twenties, her father told her that she would have to marry, as most daughters of the chief had done so by now.
Although she disagreed with this sentiment she decided to go on with the marriage under the conditions that she got to add a few things to the marriage contract and got to choose the tribe to marry in. Her father agreed to these terms and she chose the Lunar Sun tribe to make alliances with. The marriage was merely a political one and she was prepared for the worst. She was ready for loveless marriages, mistresses, or a husband who never loved her as long as the contract was upheld. To her surprise, the man she was marrying was Jet Rose-Thurgood. As she got to know him, she began to realize that marriage could be something wonderful. Iona is now happily married and plans to explore her life with someone she loved by her side.
To strangers, she is a quiet but polite young lady who carefully keeps her distance. Once she feels comfortable with somebody the rest of her personality shines through. Iona is known for her quick wit and wisdom in handling difficult situations. Losing her temper is quite rare for her and if she does then whoever angered her will know how badly they messed up. When Iona truly loves someone, she is more than willing to offer up anything for them, even when it causes her pain in the end. And when it comes to her stressful days you will find her working away to the detriment of her health. She enjoys teasing her husband and finds joy in staring at his beautiful assets.

Iona is at her best when she is managing a group of people. Even as a child she was quick to calm arguments and discover compromises for both people. She understands how people work and knows how to say the right thing at the right time to get what they need. Iona also has an uncanny ability to be able to recognize a person's strengths and guiding them to help them be at their best.
Her magical abilities are nothing to sneeze at either. Although she is still learning, she has her mother's magic and may one day reach her level. Her primary skills lie in shifting, as every lycanthrope, and the use of wind and storm magic. However, she is still currently weak in those areas. Iona is fairly acrobatic but has little skill with the sword or most weapons. She usually uses magic as a form of self defence instead of relying on physical strength.
