Nestled in a hidden valley of Zujiuchu Mountains was the ruling clan of the wyverns. It was a peaceful lifestyle. All the various types of Wyverns paid homage to the ruling clan, and they helped settled disputes with a fair hand. To Vartirrian, the young prince of the Chazzud Clan, a newly born child was betrothed to him. Her name was Sanyi of the Ginnis Clan, and she was destined to be the strongest of the generation, just like Vartirrian.

After the proper ceremonies were practiced, and wyverns started returning home, the nightmare started. None was sure exactly what had happened, everything happened so fast. A large force of dragon hunters swarmed in and killed all the adults and adolescents. They scooped up all the children and separated them by gender. The girls were taken to Varaz, the boys were taken underground in the Umbral Depths.

However, these occurrences took place at an age when Vartirrian was very young. He does not remember what happened, nor his own parents and clan. Even his own birth name is unknown to him, and thus the only name he came to know is Ensarrian. At first the mages pretended to be his friend and gained his trust, taking advantage of his young and oblivious age. Soon enough some of the other boys started vanishing. But it was only when it was his turn that he realized what was truly going on.

The mages had been performing numerous experiments on the children, attempting to make what they call ‘the perfect battle beast’. Ensarrian was forced to endure these experiments as well, and over the course of many years, he was the only one who survived them. But when the time came, he rebelled, refusing to become Solmundr’s pet. This got him thrown into a small room, chained up and left for months without food. But all of that time alone gave him room to think. He came up with a plan, and outsmarted the mages one day.

Ensarrian managed to escape captivity, and out of pure hatred, he burned down their hideout. Everyone and everything that could not escape the fire’s heat was destroyed. Since then Ensarrian has been on his own, forever scarred physically and mentally, but he was finally free.
