Adopted and raised to be a samurai in the swamps, Ensign Brigade learned the manners of traditional noble samurai as well as elite swordsmanship. Before he mastered the hidden techniques of his fathers’ sword style, he left home and became a wanderer at the age of 16. On his journeys Ensign learned many different magic spells and trained with countless weapons, despite all of his training Ensign only ever mastered hand to hand techniques that many monks specialize in.

To keep up with the cost of purchasing and repairing weapons as a mercenary, Ensign uses his proper samurai etiquette to become a part time butler.

Brigade appears to look in his 40s although some of his features cause one to question his age, as he walks with the strength of a man in his prime, yet his hair and facial features appear a bit older than 40. He has a fairly slim build but is very muscular. His hair is short and mostly black with two fairly large grey patches just above his ears. Brigade has a neatly kept beard that comes to a near point just below his chin, his beard is grey from below his ears and slowly fades to black towards his chin. Brigades’ eyes are a deep shade of brown with a slight red tint, his pupils are almost snakelike although not enough to see their shape with his normal expression. He is fairly tall, standing at 6’ and weighing in around 200lbs.
