I started playing tabletop rpg's in 2000 and played weekly until around 2010 since then its been several years with only sporadic play. I have dabbled here and there with play by post games and am looking forward to joining this community.

Ryail does not know much magic as of yet but he has been driven since childhood to learn to call forth strong creatures from other realms when he witniced an old mage do so to fend off an animal attack on the caravan he was traveling on. the type of summon doesn't matter its the act of bringing something into this world that was not there before for even a short time that drives him.
he is of fairly average build and although he can do some manual labor when needed and knows how to light fires and can travel from place to place unexcorted and still manage to feed himself he is for the most part only good at calling on his magical powers for aid in battle.
up until recently that was not a problem he had a cushy job working for an enchanter but the old man died and as he had no other means in the small town he is setting out to find his way in the world. perhaps he will finally heed the call to adventure he has put off for so long
