Exomancer is the common name he gave himself on his coming-of-age day, his birth-name is a secret.

Born into slavery, the product of the northern human Vladmir and the wood elf Floras, Exomancer illegally practiced magic at an early age. By the time he came-of-age he had mastered all of the common magic in secret, in spite of the anti-magic wards placed on all slaves.

Stronger than an ox and fairly resistant to the cold, due to his father's inheritage, Vladmir did his best to train the boy in self-defense and strategy. Weapons are forbidden to slaves, so Exomancer was able to master what his father taught in a relatively short amount of time.

Quick and nimble in dexterity and wit due to Floras' tutelage, Exomancer was able to gain the confidence and trust of all the slaves owned by his master.

Boltar was not an overly cruel master, but he wasn't stupid either. He could see the influence that Exomancer was building, and could see that as a threat to his business. At that time he was not aware that anyone, let alone Exomancer, could perform magic in spite of the anti-magic wards.

On the day Exomancer came-of-age, Boltar gave the young man an ultimatum at arrow-point: volunteer to join the Imperial Legion or die. When Exomancer refused to join the Imperial Legion, Boltar let loose his arrow. Exomancer was able to evade the arrow, but the arrow hit his mother instead. Floras died instantly.

Grief-stricken, Exomancer then raged through the entire slave encampment. Boltar retreated step by step with each step Exomancer made. Each step he took, Exomancer would break a chain or ward on a slave or he would instinctively retaliate to each of Boltar's guards. The guards were not killed, but they found that they couldn't move. The released slaves took up the arms from the guards and Boltar found himself surrounded by all the slaves, and facing Exomancer with disbelieving eyes.

Boltar's last known word was: "How?"

The question was never answered as his heart finally beat it's last.

Exomancer is resistant to cold, medium in physical strength, extremely agile, and highly intelligent. As a result of his lack of proper training in combat, Exomancer tires fast and would not be able to fend for himself after fifteen minutes of battle. Exomancer knows this limitation, and almost guarantees that his battles don't last long.
