To a Shalalaka, the Way of the Mask is a way of life. The Mask tells people who you are, and a Shakalaka should never be seen without one. These laws fit Grakana, despite the fact he left his tribe to see more of the world around him. Still, he walks the land with his knowledge of the craft for masks and many kind of toxins that allow him to fend off much bigger beasts.

All About Grakana

Shakalaka Tribe: A family of goblins who always have their heads covered in helmet-like masks and live within tribes. Occasionally, some do leave to travel into more populated lands, meaning they must learn the common tongue. Their understanding is tough, so most would find themselves speaking in third person and are often choppy. Known to give nicknames to others they are not too familiar with and sticking to them. Their main belief is called "The Way of the Mask," where they can channel not only the craftsman of the masks they wear, but what meaning is supposed to sleep within it. The ultimate taboo for a Shakalaka is having your face be seen by anyone aside from a loved one in personal quarters or parents while still a baby. All are taught in the way of crafting more masks.

Mask of Blends: Grakana's favorite mask. It allows him to create alchemic mixtures and poisons by placing ingredients inside and performing a ritualistic dance.

Mask of Meat: A helmet-like mask that looks like a leg of meat, grilled to perfection! Makes Grakana feel delicious as he is used as bait to lure out creatures.

Mask of Sea: Even though it makes Grakana feel like an old man, it allows him to breathe underwater. If anyone calls for him, he can temporarily grant this gift to others as well.
