All About Lysandre Albaret

Appearance and Personality:

A Rosenite boy born to a lord and a scholar, Lysandre has pale blue eyes, a fair complexion, and curly blond hair like his mother's. As a young man he stands tall, six feet in height. His golden wavy hair hangs just above his shoulders and is normally left loose. He more strongly resembles his mother and inherited his father's lean physique.

Raised by his mother according to traditional Rosenite fashion, he is attentive, caring, and well-mannered. His gentleness is apparent through how he cares for his pets and those around him– the former which he views as part of his family. As the eldest in his family he has a tendency to be protective towards his younger siblings, particularly towards his sister Chrysanthe. A faithful friend, he strives to keep his promises and commitments to the best of his ability. Taking after his mother's philosophy, he believes it is best to be frank and honest with others as people can be hurt by the simplest of misunderstandings.

Talents and Abilities:

Quiet and kind, Lysandre possesses a natural talent for befriending and understanding animals. Growing up with the twins as his childhood friends taught him patience and responsibility at a young age, and his experience in handling animals alongside a tracker taught him how to take care of those around him. Having learned how to heal and care for injuries from his mother, he is capable of performing minor first aid. He can also shapeshift like his father, taking on the form of a golden fruit bat. He received formal combat training from his both father and the Steward when he was old enough to hold a training sword, and his natural strength and agility as a Rosenite grant him additional advantages as a defender.

Feather Sword

A much larger version of the feather dagger, using up a lot more feathers to create. This larger blade has the same sharpness, durability, and resistance to rust and dulling as the daggers. But instead of being good for throwing, they can propel the whole wielder forward with one swift stroke, or push away foes with a gust of wind.
This is an event prize for Sirona's 2020 God Event: The Revolution of Light.

Halo Shield

A beautiful shield crafted from the halos of the Outsider Angels. It has a minor passive healing aspect that heals the wielder. Once per thread it can flash a blinding light in front of itself to temporarily blind anyone caught in front of it while not affecting the wielder.

Miniature Orb of Darkness

A small orb of solid shadow. Those who wish to combat the light and restore the balance of night and day need only hold it close in the presence of the Angelic Statue on Welayta and the orb will drain away the light magic within.

Elixir of Mother's Love

This is a specialized gift for everyone who wishes to challenge the spire. Angela has poured her whole heart and her love for the world into a single source. Those who consume the potion will gain an aura of protection allowing them to transverse the void safely without being attacked by the environment. The effect wanes over time so one must always be wary how much they have left. This brew does refill once a day by itself.
“My sweet child, I hope that my whole heart can protect you against true evil. Though I have not birthed you I have watched you grow since the beginning and love you all the same.” - Angela to those younger than her.

Wyvernbone Ring

Carved from the bones of fallen wyvern, the Hiadref have enchanted these rings to aid outsiders in surviving the harsh cold of their home island.

Shield of Ouroboros

An obsidian and lacriamium shield emblazoned with a symbol of a snake devouring its own tail, the symbol of infinity. This shield is imbued with the powers of life and death, allowing the bearer to choose how to use it. The shield can either cast a radiant spell that heals the bearer as he or she carries it, or it can create a powerful aura that drains the heath of anyone in close range to the bearer. (Spell can only be used once per day.)

Pseudo-Wyvern

A small dragon the size of a house cat. Gifted with minor telepathy and a poisonous sting, they can be used as familiars, as pets, scouts or even for the local post system.

Bag

Made out of whatever material one could find at the time, this bag holds a few possessions one would have.

Simple, sturdy footwear, usually made of leather.

Canteen

A container typically used to hold drinking water.

Common Trousers

Sometimes called pants, this garment is worn on the lower body, and covers the legs. These trousers are long and extend down to the ankles.

Common Tunic

A simple garment which might resemble a long shirt that stops somewhere between the wearer's hips and ankles. The sleeves may be long or short, depending on the local climate.

Heal

A basic healing spell that will restore an injured person's health.

Herbs

These herbs can be prepared in a variety of ways— ground into a balm, brewed into a tea, chewed whole, and more— and have a variety of properties that make them valuable to alchemists, healers, assassins, and more.

Hunter's Instinct

Creates heightened senses needed to be a hunter. I.e. Smell, sight, etc.

Parvpora's Sight

This spell allows the caster the ability to see better in the dark.

Commune with Beasts

This spell allows the caster to communicate with animals. With great skill, the caster can even convince animals to fight for you; lesser skill sends all animals into a frenzy making them attack even the caster.

Polymorph

This spell allows the caster to take on the form of any animal size of a bear or smaller. Polymorph can also be used to transform individual parts of your body into parts of the described creatures.

Summon Item

The caster summons an item, normally armor or weapons, that they own from the aether.

Strength

Increases the physical strength of the user for a short time.

Cat

Feline companions are often said to be the owner, rather than the other way around. These proud, independent pets are excellent hunters of small rodents.

Riding Equipment

Typically consists of a saddle and reins. Allows one to better ride a mountable companion.

Fairy Dragon

Found on Horae Island, these tiny dragons range in sizes from small frogs to house cats, and come in a variety of colors based on what region of the island they come from. They really like sweet things, like honey and candy.

Crystal Shield

This crystalline shield has been crafted by the finest enchanters in Hiadref. It is designed to reflect magic three times a day before shattering and needing to reform. After shattering, the shield is ineffective at blocking until it reforms 24 hours later.

Equilibrium’s Edge

A blade forged from both lacriamium and obsidian whose strikes heals the living’s wounds and minor ailments or cause harm to the undead and apparitions, regardless of alignment of the target.

Ataiyan Katana

A long, curved blade, these swords are treasured for their strength. The forging process is long, as the metal is folded, pounded flat, and folded again, many times over until a strong, yet flexible blade is formed.
Enchanted with a keen rune so it never rusts or dulls from age. Enchanted with a second rune so that the blade has an easier time cutting through small amounts of other metals. The weapon stores power in its scabbard that increases the strength and sharpness of drawing strikes. The scabbard can also be used as a small shield in a pinch.

Renaissance

When worn, this Aventurine pendant will strengthen the will and focus of its wearer tenfold. Due to its effects, it’s suggested to only wear it in times of great need for no more than one hour at a time. While strength of will and focus are enhanced, the physical limits of the body are unchanged.

Guiding Light

A palm-sized pyramid crystal comprised of Ametrine. When the user is lost, a thin beam of light will shine from the crystal’s point to lead the user home or some other favored safe destination.

Sun's Kiss

A lightweight silver shield accented in black tourmaline. Will absorb any magickal attack when used, and reflect out a short burst of near blinding light magick to give the shielder time to prepare their own returning attack (or flee!).

Drae's Bottled Starlight

Made by the Keeper to help his children combat their fear of the dark, this vials of thick colored glass can cast a starscape on the walls and ceiling of a room. When placed on the ground of an area or on a shelf, it creates a circle of protection with a 20 ft Diameter.

Katerba

This medium sized Bakulaw lizard is terrifying in packs. Once they get running they can out speed almost any horse. They are pack predators who prefer to corner their prey and pounce. Should one be able to tame one of these loyal beasts they would find themselves having a fast one person mount to transverse the lands with.
"There's only one we can take it..." Screeches as the pack jumps from the bushes to ambush the unwise explorers... Beware.

Pakpak

This is a medium sized flying Bakulaw inhabitant. Mostly living on fish from the waterways of Bakulaw Pakpaks make for good sky mounts for any beginning adventurer of Bakulaw. Beware its sharp teeth, however, as they can put up quite the fight in numbers.

Goddess Cube

A beautifully decorated stained glass puzzle box made in platinum, this acts as a portable storage device akin to Reynash’s Endless Bag. The sides of the box bear symbols and related imagery of the goddesses of Life and Luck.

This curious, tablet-shaped device projects a map of where you have been on its surface, but only for one floor. An excellent tool for the intrepid explorer and daring dungeon delver, as its illuminated surface and sleek design make it markedly superior to any magic map.

Greater Agility

Not only heightens one’s speeds, but allows them great balance and the ability to land on one’s feet from high height. This spell also allows the ability to walk on walls and ceilings for the duration of ten minutes.

Tempest's Fury

The power of a small lightning storm contained within, these orbs can be found scattered throughout Railoch. To most, they are merely oddities, causing the hair on one’s head to stand up when holding them. To mages, however, they are power sources, capable of enhancing lightning magics.

The Tempest’s Fury provides a minor, elemental enchantment of Lightning.

Dragonscale Chest

Crafted from dragon scales, this protects one's torso. The same piece will fit a man or woman.

Leather Leggings

Leg armor made of leather, it offers protection without limiting mobility.

Leather Vambraces

Reinforced leather armguards, they provide protection without sacrificing flexibility.

Bottled Shiranui

A willowisp captured in a bottle. When released it emits a phosphorescent glow and can multiply quickly. Unlike most light sources it does not consume fuel or release heat. Max of 10 wisps at a time per thread.

Stinger Rapier

A finely crafted rapier created from a Wasp's stinger. Very strong in its durability thanks to some added magic, the rapier never needs to be sharpened and it will actually repair itself if broken, though it takes some time to do so.
This is an event prize for Staff's 2018 Anniversary event Negation Order: Exterminate the Moons.

Sapphire Sword

A beautifully smithed blade made from sapphires that has a chilling aura to it. It is most likely carved by the dwarves of Baltil. The blade itself glows like a thousand stars.

Lucina's Moonlight Lantern

This lantern was made by the fallen goddess Lucina. She was once considered a saint among the people of Parvpora before the Tree was tainted. She would light the way home for sailors using the moon. She created these lanterns to ward off the evil of her conclave siblings. When the tree became tainted these delicate stained glass lanterns were hidden so she could not destroy them.
Can see through darkness made by magic by ten feet.
