All About Raziel

Once upon a time, there was an angel fighting to defend the land against a rising swell of evil. Increased monster populations, greed and evil in the hearts of men, and general chaos. Gabriel fought to protect as many as he could. His adventures led him all over the world of Revaliir. Everything seemed endless until one day, Gabriel was overwhelmed. When he came to, he was being tended by the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

She was a water nymph named Elithia. As with many stories which start out this way, the pair fell in love. Still defending the realm from evils, his love was with him, helping any way she could, even if it meant just healing injuries after battle. Eventually, Elithia found herself with child, and together, they couldn’t be happier. While I wish I could say the pair lived happily ever after, this was not to be the case.

Elithia gave birth to twin girls. As they began to grow, the parents noticed something majorly different about them. While Ramiel seemed strong and defiant like her father, Raziel was small and frail. To protect her, the pair deemed it necessary to take Raziel to Zets’ki Cradle, where the half angels there could help care for their daughter. Gabriel took Ramiel, and began traveling the world with her, continuing his quest with the promise of returnning home to his wife one day.

Ninety years later… That day never came, and Raziel only grew up with stories of her father’s heroic deeds. Ramiel heard of her mother’s beauty and how she saved their father. The twins had not received any stories about each other. Until… Elithia fell ill. Her mission to Raziel was this: Find Rammy and Gabe, and bring them to Zets’ki, to bid Elithia goodbye one last time.

Personality: At first, this small angel is often overlooked, easily getting lost in a crowded area. Shy and timid are her first impressions. Peel back those layers, and you’ll find an admirable, sweet soul. Sensitive to the needs of others, once Raziel determines someone needs her assistance, she will not rest until she believes she has succeeded. While she smiles easy, there is a wall she keeps erected around her heart, afraid that someone would easily take advantage of her disadvantage.

~Through the earth, Raziel can sense people around her. It’s harder for her to “see” anything in the air.

After being spirited away to Zets’Ki Cradle, Raziel led a sheltered life. Born blind, her mother hovered over her. Around the age of five, it quickly became apparent that the half angle had a natural talent for herbology. This gave her a safe, warm place to spend much of her days. With the gardeners in the greenhouses, Raziel drank their knowledge like a sponge.

Despite her disability, she flourished, guided by her mother to be a helping soul. For many years, nothing very eventful had happened. The angel learned much about Reverie and the origins of the world and believed her role was to heal those who suffered in it. If anyone was to ask Raziel of her past, she would say it was as plain as anyone can expect. Until the Reverie Ball, that is.

At the ball, so many visitors came, and it almost overwhelmed the little angel. Yet, she felt invigorated and the seed of desire blossomed. For months after, she tried to convince her mother to allow her to go. It wasn’t until Elithia fell ill that Raziel’s request was granted. Conflicted with the desire to stay with her mother, Raziel felt butterflies of excitement and uncertainty in her stomach as she took her first steps outside of town for the first time in almost 90 years.

A rare form of bark that forest nymphs shed in secret groves during the first days of Venti every year. The bark looks remarkably like skin, and has a strong, earthy scent capable of overwhelming more sensitive noses

A silvery blue metal with diamond like properties. It was once strong chains created by the Goddess Angela to hold back the Goddess Dalanesca. Now the metal has all but lost it's magical properties but is still the strongest metal in all of Revaliir.

The beginnings of a rose, this rose hip is an exceptionally healthy specimen. It can either be planted or ground up for herbalism purposes.

This alloy is a common find in smithies and tinkerers’ workshops. Objects crafted from chromite are resistant to corrosion.

A small orb of solid shadow. Those who wish to combat the light and restore the balance of night and day need only hold it close in the presence of the Angelic Statue on Welayta and the orb will drain away the light magic within.

Soulmate Heartstring

Based off the famous, heartstring story; this enchanted thread can be used to always keep track of a loved one. It is invisible, incorporeal, and weightless after secured onto both people, but can be made to reappear with a simple incantation no matter how far apart those two may be.

Elixir of Mother's Love

This is a specialized gift for everyone who wishes to challenge the spire. Angela has poured her whole heart and her love for the world into a single source. Those who consume the potion will gain an aura of protection allowing them to transverse the void safely without being attacked by the environment. The effect wanes over time so one must always be wary how much they have left. This brew does refill once a day by itself.
“My sweet child, I hope that my whole heart can protect you against true evil. Though I have not birthed you I have watched you grow since the beginning and love you all the same.” - Angela to those younger than her.

This dragon hails from the ice lands. Its powerful roar can be heard throughout the lands of Revaliir as it flies overhead during Glaciem. Its ice breath is something that many fear and even its scale have a glacial atmosphere to them.

Angela's Divine Rod

This divine rod allows the user to channel the earth into healing energy. Healing magic from it can extend over ten feet without having to touch the person in need, and is amplified by the staff’s Lacriamium core. It is said that the Goddess’ sorrow is stored within the metallic hearts of these staves: a distant reminder of friends lost.

Ice Crown

What happens when someone can't just let it go? Well, funny story really. We don't have the time to tell it, HOWEVER, we do have this crown. This crown is finely made out of enchanted Itjivut ice. Never will it melt. Never will it create snowmen who annoy you to death. What it can do for you is keep you safe in cold places. Plus it looks mighty snazzy no matter your race.

This little buddy is great for on the road trips. He is pink with a little heart on his rear end. He glows in the dark to provide light and his facial expressions are among the best. No one could ask for a better friend than him. Unlike the non-magical variety these little guys can stay out of water. They like to ride your shoulder!

A simple wooden staff, intended for martial combat.

A container typically used to hold drinking water.

This spell allows the caster to sense a magical aura around a person, or to sense another's presence even if the caster cannot see them. Also allows the caster to sense magical presence up to 40 yards away.

Wolf

Found dwelling in both the forest and tundras of the world, wolves are versatile pack hunters in the wild, though occasionally tamed by the brave souls who can befriend them.

Earth Meld

The caster melds with the earth and flora, keeping them hidden, or protected from earth attacks.

Diamond Unicorn

A statuette of a unicorn made of magical diamond. When a special word is spoken, the statuette disappears in a puff of glittery smoke and becomes alive and full sized.

Maurelle's Sphere

Crafted in the depths of Feeorin Forest, these orbs are reminders. They can be used as calendars, journals or any other store of information, but, like the mischievous nature of their creators, they have a darker side. If ignored when trying to remind their owner of something, they will promptly begin yelling at that person to "Listen." If ignored further, the orb grows wings and begins ramming into the person's head until they pay attention. These spheres have been known to bludgeon careless owners.

This spell allows the caster to open a portal to another location anywhere in Revaliir.

Angela's Brooch

A beautiful brooch passed down by the goddess herself which allows the user to completely heal, instantly. The red rose ornament is most commonly associated with the mother of love and life, and embodies some her most well known principles, as healing is a special part of life.
Has a cooldown of five days due to how strong it is

Angela's Crystal Chalice

A beautiful chalice made from ancient crystal. The stem of this chalice is made out of abalone shell pulled from shells found in the deepest part of the ocean. This chalice can turn any toxin into its antidote but one must have enough toxin to effectively make a good antidote.

Artisan's Flask

A flask made of pure crystal and embedded with gemstones of all different colors and origins. This flask was handcrafted by the goddess herself while she was bored and imbued it with the ability to turn anything put into the flask into a high-level health and mana potion. The potion itself takes on the qualities of Angela's best potions. Limit: Only changes 1 full flask a day. Use wisely. Note: You could be on the brink of death and this potion will rebound you completely. It is toxic when consumed in large amounts which is why there is a limit per day on how much one can consume.

Made by the Keeper to help his children combat their fear of the dark, this vials of thick colored glass can cast a starscape on the walls and ceiling of a room. When placed on the ground of an area or on a shelf, it creates a circle of protection with a 20 ft Diameter.

Duchess' Concoctions

Cookies and drinks from the Duchess are a pleasant, if not useful gift. Her concoctions make you grow if you eat the cookies or shrink if you drink the juice. The bottles are specially decorated with magical shimmering letters. The words on the cookies are almost alive as if inviting you to try them. Be wary the more you consume the more it affects you.
