All About Magnus

Magnus was young for a Sea Spirit when the Old God Sardon was ruling over chaos. At that time, Asyut had the most extensive library and he was working and studying there away from his home in Ataiyo. When the cursed city was wiped from the map, swallowed up by the sands to bury the wretched followers of that dark god, Magnus was caught in the curse, and was mummified with all the other denizens who served Sardon.

He awoke when the Chaos Ruby was activated, partially restored to his true self, but still covered with extensive mummy rot curse. Trying to figure out what was going on and why he had suddenly awoken after what had clearly been centuries of sleep in the ghost city, he stumbled upon a young man who was dying from injury and slowly succumbing to mummy rot. Using his own Death Mask to put the young man into stasis, Magnus took him and healed him to the best of his abilities after being afflicted for so long, enough to stabilize him.

In return, when the ruby was destroyed by heroes who ventured in, the young man, a Borealis Dragon in human form, flew Magnus from the ruins as they were engulfed by sand, and took him to the safety of the outpost. There, Magnus met Adraejen Porthyrius, who offered him the position of head librarian at Tar Eisalae.
