History: To be born without wings is a disgrace in any siren tribe, but the aeyra cast out any wingless sirens at birth. Dioxie is one such case. left on a rock to die, she was discovered by a lonely fisherman who raised her with his wife as their own. on her 13th birthday, Dioxie stopped aging. her adoptive parents thought this strange at first, then later, evil. cast out once more, at 18 she started wandering the world, finding work in taverns. few took her seriously, as she still looked 13, but fewer thought her a threat. this was when she realized she could sing. she had been called to a karaoke contest in a bar and tried to sing, sure she'd be terrible. but when she started, her voice sounded okay to her, and angelic to the audience. several fainted. she swore she would learn to control it and fled the town that now thought her a witch. she went from town to town, learning slowly to control her singing, and other instruments besides. one day, she was attacked, and she learned that when distressed, she would now sing automatically. the men died. she swore never to sing again.replicate this and doesn't want to. again, she had to flee the town, leaving most of her possessions behind. she decided to go to a city, where there would surely be people stranger than her, and maybe they wouldn't throw her in the sea, trying to drown her because of her "witchcraft"
she doesn't like running, but also doesn't seem to have a choice
is also trying to figure out what she is and how to fix it. she is unaware of her race
