All About Vincent Cross

Vincent didn't grow up in a poor family, but they weren't rich either. He was always envious of those who had more than him, despite being better off than most of the population. Always looking to those who were more fortunate and never at those who had less, never stopping to see how fortunate he really was. No matter what he had he always wanted more, always craving what he couldn't have. Most would had given anything to grow up in a family such as Vincent's, but he was not satisfied.

Most would see him as spoiled, but Vincent….he was just too ambitious for his own good. He began to steal from others, often times getting caught in the beginning. He was becoming quite a handful for his family. Luckily for them he got better at his new found trade, in fact he got so good at stealing that his parents began to think he had grown out of his little 'problem' This couldn't be further from the truth, he never stopped, and eventually became a way of life.

Vincent's talents did not go unnoticed. He found plenty of jobs in the underbelly of society. People were willing to pay a high price for his skills. One of his regular 'clients' introduced him to the captain of an airship, Vicente Cadenza. Vicente was young for a captain, he was only 27 at the time. The client wanted him to work with the captain and his crew in order to retrieve a rather expensive object. This day was a significant turning point in Vincent's life, he never left that crew. He flew through the air with his crew for four years as the ship's bosun, not giving up his 'bad habits' of course.

One day however, another turning point would occur. The ship was boarded by an unknown group, and most of the crew was killed. Only three remained, the captain, the physician, and Vincent. Their lives were spared in exchange for their ship. They were lowered down in nothing but their wares in a skiff, were they ever meant to escape alive? Had the plan been to let them die in shame?
